    Several months ago, I saw a Groupon special for an "Off Road Segway Tour" offered by SegCity…read moreHouston. The special was $69 for a 45 minute tour for two people and expired on March 31, 2013 and required a 72 hour advance reservation according to the small print. On March 14, I attempted to contacted SegCity Houston by phone and I left a message and also sent an email and asked if they have any open slots for two people for Monday, March 18. I received no reply, so the following day, I called again and the lady who answered the phone left a LOT to be desired in the way of customer service. When I asked her if there were any openings for Monday, her response was, "I definately don't have anything for Monday, I MIGHT have something open for Tuesday." My big mistake was probably mentioning that I had a Groupon that needed to be used by March 31st and when I then asked her if I could schedule something for Tuesday, she flip flopped on me and said, "she wasn't sure if she had anything for Tuesday and she wasn't near her calendar. I politely asked her if she could look at her calendar and call me back so I could make a reservation if she did and she rudely blew me off and said, "no, no, no, I'm not even sure if I have anything on Tuesday, I'm booked thru the end of March, you're just going to have to call Groupon for a refund." I think once she found out I was scheduling with a Groupon, she prefered to leave her Tuesday openings for FULL PAYING customers. They shouldn't agree to participate in Groupon discounts if they're not going to honor the special. If I could get a REFUND, I wouldn't be so upset, but Groupon's policy is that they do NOT issue refunds...... they only give you a credit. Be aware....if you are trying to schedule a tour with them using a Groupon...DO NOT mention it until they assure you that they have openings and make your reservation or else you'll get blown off like I did.

    We drove from Galveston to take this tour for an anniversary outing with friends (about an hour…read moredrive). We were told to arrive at 1:30 for a 2:00 tour. We arrived at 1:30, but the tour guide didn't show up until 2:40. Once we got all the waivers signed and the "lesson" done we headed off. During the tour one of the members of our party fell from his Segway. The tour guide proceeded to cuss at him (dropping the f bomb several times) and never once asked if he was ok. We were only on the Segways for 30 minutes instead of 45 and only went in circles on a walking trail. When we let the company know of our experience we were offered the same tour at the same price that we paid as a "fix" to the problem. I do not recommend this tour.
