As well as being only a short drive to the freeway for easy access to all of San Diego! These apartments are seriously a 10/10!

So Fanita Meadows will report a truthful review of how terrible their property is and have it…read moreremoved so others will end up getting scammed too. 1. Roaches and rats and termites are present throughout the property. Don't believe me? Check above your microwave where the outlet is and you'll see all the mice droppings and evidence of the rodents. Also, termite evidence everywhere- ceiling, window ledges, patio, etc. 2. Residents who store disgusting mattresses that have been peed on by their pets or kids on their patio for the world to have to look at. Along with laundry and other items that shouldn't be stored on a patio. 3. Residents who store trash on their patio or front porch for MONTHS at a time. No, not like an hour- MONTHS. Consisting of soiled diapers, meat, cat litter and cat poop, other foods and whatever else causing ALL UNITS AROUND THEM to smell like the inside of a dumpster INSIDE THEIR HOME. 4. Residents parking anywhere including not their parking spaces and nothing happens. Need a handicap spot? Good luck because the lady that keeps getting her kids taken away by CPS will park there and she's not handicap in any way. 5. The property manager lives on site but she's NEVER in her office and never answers the phone. At least the original property manager was always there and a text away- this one you can never find. Need something? You're SOL. 6. Laundry- you have people taking all machines all day every day. How they have so much laundry but don't work or leave the house I will never understand. But if you have to do anything just go to a laundry mat. If there is an available machine to use it's broken or doesn't wash right. MIND YOU these are NEW machines they put in about a year ago and have been broken since the start. Sunrise management and Tara always give BS responses to the issues and don't care to fix anything. It's actually wild. The property could be SO MUCH BETTER but no one cares about it or the residents. They just want their check. Anything Sunrise Management just don't rent from. They're terrible and don't handle the property, tenants and issues in a proper way.

I have lived in many apartment complexes in Santee and El Cajon (and other parts of San Diego…read morecounty) and Fanita Meadows has been a great place to call home. We have lived here since 2021 and it has been an enjoyable experience. They continually strive to maintain the property with vendors for the pool area, lawn and plants, cleaning the gutters, maintaining the parking area and the buildings exteriors and balconies. Pedro is the onsite maintenance person and he is always on top of any requests. The 2 bedroom floorplan is very spacious and the closets have a TON of storage! The remodel done a few years ago is great quality! Sturdy cabinets, solid appliances and beautiful countertops. Nothing like I have experiences at other complexes in the county where you can see they cut corners and used subpar quality materials. We love it so much that we even got on the waitlist for a 3 bedroom and upgraded last year! Parking can be challenging but the City of Santee recently extended the parking zone on the street so there is less red zone and more street parking. They also have garages available for rent (you may have to get on the waitlist but its worth it). The garage is HUGE!! Large enough for 2 cars and a ton of storage. Laundry is always difficult when you live in an apartment but the laundry room is open 24 hours and we always find a way to make it work. I also love the app for loading funds for laundry and have never had an issue with it not working. But I must say having Tara as the on site property manager is what truly sets Fanita Meadows apart from other complexes. Tara is so kind, attentive and a absolute gem! She is a wonderful person and we appreciate her so much! If you are looking for a quality apartment living experience, I highly recommend giving Tara a call and considering Fanita Meadows!

This…read moreplace advertises itself as a "luxury" apartment complex and charges luxury level rent prices, yet somehow there were constant cockroaches and bug issues. Nothing says luxury quite like paying a premium to see roaches in your apartment AND car. PS, before signing a lease here look inside the garbage room with any flashlight to see roaches running around, don't worry they are in apartments too. Anytime concerns were brought to the office, the responses felt completely nonchalant like it was just "normal" and not something worth properly addressing. Multiple neighbors even agreed the roach problem had been ongoing for a long time, which made it even more frustrating. On top of that, there was one female office employee who was consistently rude, dismissive, and honestly just mean whenever residents had concerns. It got to the point where neighbors would warn each other about dealing with her because apparently everyone already knew how she treated people. For the amount tenants pay, nobody should have to deal with bugs everywhere while being treated like they're dramatic for complaining about it. If you're going to market yourself as luxury apartments, at the very least residents shouldn't have to live with cockroaches and mean employees.

UNSANITARY, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNSAFE DO NOT MOVE TO PARC ONE APARTMENTS After 3 years of residence my family and I have been left with no choice but to move due to so many things in the last year. This was the greatest place when we moved in, honestly I tried to get all my friends to move in because it was so great but for the last year or so this property has been ran into the ground to a point that all of building 3 will be without tenants before they know it. What started with one nasty family has become a roach infested dump and a building with an infestation so bad people are forced to leave. I have a diabetic child and she cannot live in a home with ROACHES, that is so unsanitary and we live in fear every time we have to change her pump and monitor sites because they can easily become infected. The female employee in the office frequently rolls her eyes at me when I remind her of this and shows no concern for the property she is partly responsible for. Speaking of her, watch out because she has a history of harassing tenants. If you're curious just take a walk through the property and ask anyone if they've had a positive interaction with her, the answer is likely no. Not to mention she creates an environment of hostility among tenants. There is a specific tenant who may or may not drive a white Range Rover who does not like that people socialize near that area. Some people smoke and she accuses the group of smoking on the steps every single day and the female office employee will rush to the steps to literally raise her voice at tenants when she doesn't even catch anyone smoking. The list goes on and on. I know people will read this with the typical perspective that I'm only sharing the bad things but please remember this used to be a property that was lively and tenants would bring friends to. There never were available units and now you can walk in pretty much any day of the week and have your pick. If that doesn't speak for itself I invite you to walk the property, casually talk to tenants, I promise you it will blow your mind to find out how run down this place is. And if that still isn't enough you can help yourselves to the roaches in the dumpster room of building 3 for dinner and see if that changes your mind! Just FYI: yes I have been in constant communication with the office and they do little to accept responsibility around here. Due to the unprofessional nature of the employees I do not feel I can go to the property staff with my problems any longer. I have emailed and called the regional manager with no response and good luck getting contact information above that. Greystar as an entity is as shitty as this property. SAFETY WARNING: as a domestic abuse victim I notified the office of a police report when I submitted my 30 day notice on 11/3/25. I specifically told the manager that he cannot let my ex know about the police report FOR MY SAFETY. We were on the lease together and we both had to communicate with them about the move out. This human handed the paper to my abusive ex who then questioned the manger about the police report and he told my ex that he didn't know why I wrote that on there, which then lead my abusive ex to question me about it. I had five different stucco companies come out to give me a bid for repair work around a window, and John was the only one who actually started from a place of curiosity, asking me questions about the issue. You can tell right away that he's a person of solid character who has also mastered his craft. He took the time to first understand my problem, and then he walked me through the solution with so much patience and clarity (never condescending, just genuinely helpful). Not only was his bid very competitive, but he even took the time to review a competitor's quote with me and pointed out exactly where I was being overcharged for work I didn't even need. He and his son, Garrison, are really solid people. Even though he's a stucco expert and not a leak detection specialist, he went well above and beyond by helping me troubleshoot with a water test to make sure we found the actual source of the leak. For the stucco work that was required, he handled the repairs beautifully. Just as importantly, John identified work that wasn't necessary. If you want someone good-natured, patient, and truly an expert who cares about the final result, call these guys.

They are postponing rentals for an indeterminate amount of time, I didn't feel like I got true or honest information about that. Josie kept referring to her boss, "the lawyer," as the reason they were not accepting move ins. I want to say I have spoken to her a few times over a month or so of apartment searching. Here's my takeaway: if they are always going to drop the "boss is a lawyer" bit, how awful is this place going to be to live? It seems ominous already and I don't even live there. I could lawyer up too (I have needed to before). But why would you want to put that energy out there. If a "lawyer" is taking actual months to draw up such an advantageous lease for them, where will that leave us? Up shit creek, that's where. I literally never have seen an apartment put move ins on hold to write up a more self serving lease. Josie seemed nice, but I felt put off ultimately by the constant "my boss is a lawyer," name dropping. I was told, no bankruptcies, period. Everyone says that. I had a hard time physically and lost a business. Hence, the bankruptcy, several years ago. My credit is solid now, really good. Most NORMAL people can figure that out. Then Josie says, "for 7 years or more." They clearly do not have a clue on what they are doing. After 7 years, you actually can file ANOTHER bankruptcy. Not that I'm planning on it, but that's what the 7 years mark is. I was really shocked that she didn't know the basics of that. My credit is good enough to obtain a mortgage at this point (I have spoken to a lender), but not rent at the Mellmanor. Maybe it's a nice place, I will never know. Good luck to you, fellow apartment hunters.
