This place sucks!! It was voted one of the best apartments to live in but over the years it began to suck. You can hear your neighbors in the showers around you especially if they are fooling around which I have to admit the first time it was pretty funny then it got old pretty fast. If you live in a bottom apartment and some one larger lives above you it sounds like a stampede.
If things break there is only a handy man on sight a few days a week so unless it causes property damage you may have to wait up to a week to get it fixed, I just started fixing things on my own least I knew it would get done faster then waiting around. Also the handy man is a flirt so if you are a female or men you are the jealous type you may either want to schedule him to fix things when you are home with your women or when you both won't be there because he made many of the female neighbors uncomfortable. The resident manager lives on sight but bitches if you bother her- and she seems nice to lure you in but she is two faced or maybe she is bipolar I never was sure- she was nice one day and a total bitch the next so much for professionalism, maybe it is time for her to move on no point on staying at a job you do not enjoy!!!
There is never enough parking even though they say they will tow cars without permits- it is a lie, and people who actually have permits are either too fat or too lazy to walk the extra ten feet. A neighbor and I actually walked around our complex and found out of the ten cars parked on the street seven had parking permits on there cars but were hogging street parking, which can be annoying if you have visitors over who have no where to park. And there is never parking during the day because you are so close to the lakes people park on the street and walk over so they do not have to pay the parking fee, least they are exercising!! however it can get annoying.
Half the people there had dogs even though you are not suppose to and they either bark for most the day or they poop all over the grass or sidewalk and the owner doesn't pick it up. I am an animal lover but a rule is a rule and they either need to change it to make it fair to everyone or enforce the rules.
The gardeners are perverts to any women that walk by even when I was walking with a friend they still oogled her up and down and they trash can dive during there lunch looking for any good finds which can make things awkward if you had to walk in that direction, and when they are taking one of there very many breaks they sit and lean on any car parked on the street and if you are anal about your car being scratched or bumped then it is best to move it off the streets the days they come or park it way down the street in a residential area.
The laundry room is always busy and it is expensive considering the fact that if you put too many clothes in to save money nothing gets washed.
The pool is not heated- granted in the summer it is not a big deal but if it is below 85 out side the pool is freezing. Most people living there had numerous people jammed into their apartments with more and more moving in each month.
The pricing is semi reasonable although with what you have to put up with maybe it is not worth it?? We moved out a few months ago and did not realize how bad it was till we got an apartment manager that actually gives a damn and regulates the rules.
Something I realized was these apartments used to be well sought after and some people were on waiting lists just to get in, however in the last six months right before we moved out they were desperate to move people in which honestly would be a red flag!!! You have people begging to move in and now people can not wait to move out. I visited a neighbor a while back and they said there was a few families who just moved in to a two bed room having 3-4 kids and you would think and good apartment would regulate this I understand times are tough but 4 kids crammed in a room together is not far to the kids or the neighbors around who have to put up with the extra noise no offense but move to El Cajon or South San Diego. So sad this apartment complex went down hill so fast.
The only thing that complex had going for it was how close you were to the Santee lakes as well as the freeways. Do your self a favor and spend the extra 100-200 bucks on a different apartment complex. read more
