So first off I should state I'M NOT A VEGAN for any viewers in the same boat. Went to Cerebral brewing to try this place with a friend who is Vegan. It did not disappoint. Unfortunately their fryer broke, but they were still able to make us a burger. It was sooo good !!! I don't know how, I don't understand what but it has me craving to go back. The bread was, well tasted like a non vegan bun. The meat, was tasty and the texture was of a black bean burger. I will be on the hunt for this van to try more of their meals !! This place rocks! Before finding this place we had no way of enjoying Taco Bell as vegetarian/vegans. Their Crunchwrap supreme is awesome! Most of the time vegan sour cream is not my thing, but they do it right at Vegan Van. They're always friendly and communicate really well on social media. I haven't left a review since new owners took over the Vegan Van (my last review was from 2013). My main issue with the Vegan Van in the past was that it was very unreliable as far as showing up when it was scheduled. But since it has taken on new ownership, it has improved greatly. The food is delicious! My favorite is probably the Royale with Cheese. I visited them several times over the summer at Civic Center Eats and am always excited to try their specials. And now that they got a new truck I think things will be even more awesome! Thanks for doing what you do, Vegan Van! read more

You have made my dream come true! Vegan Mexican food, and I am talking about the best!!! Tacos al Pastor, Tacos Carne Asada, and the refried beans. Mexican food is my favorite, but when trying to eat vegan, Mexican food is still my favorite, but not available. Not until last night! 04/07/2019 I am so amazed. SO AMAZED at the food I ate last night. I have eaten at Pokez in downtown San Diego, and was so happy as it is amazing Mexican food that has been around forever, but Vegan Van blows them out of the water. I have been excited about the Vegan van for years but didn't get to try it out until this year because it wasn't in a convenient spot for me to stop by. I finally got to try it out at the Colorado Veg fest this summer and then again yesterday parked in front of Nooch. I was a bit hungover and wanted the bacon and the beast burrito I saw pics of. I managed a shower and drove down there to grab a breakfast burrito. I arrived late in their service and they were sold out! I was so sad. They offered to make me one special on the spot but it would have been 20-25 minutes for them to start from scratch and I had to take my daughter to a bday party. I opted for the Royale with cheese instead. This was hands down, the best vegan burger I've ever eaten. Nothing else even came close to comparing. The burger had the perfect juicy patty, "cheddar" cheese, romaine, may and a sesame seed bun. It came with hand cut fries. That burger never made it past getting back into my car. I ate the whole thing before I left my parking spot. The fries were good too but the burger was a wow moment. I can't wait to go back and try the breakfast burrito.! read more

I'd love to tell you how the food is, but after waiting for 35 minutes, I asked for a refund. Unfortunately, they were shocked that I was asking for my money back, but it's absolutely inexcusable for a food truck to take 35 minutes to make anything. Since going vegetarian, Taco Bell has probably been the fast food that I've missed the most, so when I saw that Vegan Van was offering a "Taco Bell" menu I was ecstatic! We got one of everything (Crunchwrap, Gordita, Lava Nacho Taco, etc.) and it was all SO good, even the meat eater of the house couldn't stop saying how delicious it was with each bite. In addition, despite us ordering online and having no contact delivery, the customer service still shined through! I definitely can't wait to try their other menu items. read more

BEST vegan comfort food in town, at least from what I've tasted. I've only visited once and only had to wait about 15 minutes, which is reasonable to me. A lot of plant based places over-salt the food in efforts to create more flavor, but my food didn't leave me gasping for water. I can't wait to come back and try more! I do think the prices are a bit steep, but not so much so that I'm put off. read more

Vegan van catered our little vegan wedding last night and we could not be more pleased. Our vegan and vegetarian guests were so excited to eat things they haven't been able to eat in years, and our omni guests could not stop eating the delicious food. Everyone was impressed. Brittany, Justin, and Angel are all so wonderful and helpful. They answered all our guests' questions and had everything labeled. Very informative when answering questions about allergens and dietary restrictions. We are very grateful and had a wonderful dinner!!! Chile rellenos and cheesy gordita crunches were my favorite. The restaurant overall was clean, inviting, but a little loud. I'm not too old so it didn't bother me, but just a note. Service was amazing and had no complaints there.
