The Balloon Museum in Austin was a decent experience, but it didn't leave a huge impression on me…read more Some of the art installations were creative and visually striking, and it's definitely a great spot for families. There were a lot of interactive exhibits that kids seemed to love. The museum spans a couple of stories, starting on the upper level, with plenty of colorful and immersive spaces that make for great Instagram photos. It's very hands-on, though, so if germs are a concern, this might not be the best pick. Parking was somewhat limited. There's a small one-level garage and some outdoor parking behind the building. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. Admission felt a bit pricey for what you get. It might have been worth it to me if I had children in my group.

Bought mine online and they do sell them at the venue as well. Once inside there are three maybe four flights of stairs (elevator available too) as you start on the top floor then walk back down. The museum provided some interactive picture spots and stuff for kids. The main ball pit with the light show was pretty fun too. Be careful as the shoe covers make it slippery! They do have traction strips, just take large strides. The VR was my favorite thing, with the last part with the bubbles as second. Took me about 50 minutes to go through and again helped spend the day out of the house. I could see if you had kiddos this would be gunner.

I love this place as much as the kids do- it's an open invite to play and create anything they want to. The staff here is so friendly and I've seen them build a house out of cardboard (from scratch) for a little girl. We are frequent flyers here, if we have an open morning this is easily our top spot to go to. First, the play area is so fun. It's interactive, it leaves room for imagination, and it's always pretty organized. My two year old girl and four year old boy both find things to do and have fun. They have a group canvas kids can add to but also easels set up for them to paint their own creations. The craft area set up is great. Each table is sort of set up with an idea/concept like water coloring, paint pens, a jewelry bead bar for them to make bracelets and necklaces. The supplies are there for your kids to create. They take donations or recycled items like applesauce twist tops, cardboard tubes, etc. these are all available to use. Surprisingly my two year old LOVES to watercolor and all the stickers. I'm waiting for one of their adult nights because I am so serious when I say the vibes are great here. They also have a gift shop in the front entrance with items they use in the studio plus a lot of gift able items. I can never resist looking at what fun new things they have. Every single item in the shop would make a great gift for somebody. A few more woohoo's: *snack friendly, you can bring food or buy some snacks here and they have tables to sit at and enjoy your snack *they have a changing table in the bathroom *big parking lot *easy to book online and see their schedule *staff is good with kids of all ages *next door to Terra toys, I mean c'mon lol

During one week Game Worlds summer camps attendees create games and at the end of the week can pitch the video game. Yesterday, Thing One came here for a birthday party (not a camp) and was able to play a game that was designed for up to 8 players. He also got to look at the D&D themed game room, and the game design room while there. We both met with Jennifer Noonan, the Co-Owner who explained the skills children can learn while attending camp and the tools children used to build these skills. Thing One enjoyed himself in the 4 hours there as he was able to explore the different gaming rooms and learn more about game design. He was also pleased to learn that Magic: The Gathering is played here on the weekend, which is one of his favorite games. This business serves as a great place to throw a teen's birthday party as it provides a large safe space for kids to game and is more intimate than some of the larger game-themed event spaces. #supportlocal Camp Info: Ages 8-18 When: 8:00am -5:00pm, Monday-Friday $695 per week

The review from Sarah S. got me confused. I even went back and forth a few times between that…read morereview and the title to make sure I was reading a review about Jump! Gymnastics., it just didn't make sense and didn't sound like Jump at all. We've had the best experience there for the past three years. Started there when my oldest daughter was two (she is now five), then my son who is now three, and another son who is waiting to be old enough to start classes there. Between all the classes, camps, parent day out programs, gym shows, we spend a lot of time at Jump and I don't have enough words to describe how nurturing their place is. Class size is small (4 kiddos in younger classes, 6 in older classes). Lot's of personal attention. Coaches get to know kids well, learn their traits, connect with them. My son started talking when he was about 2.5, and his first words were said when he was in class with coach Doug. The next week he was saying words like "planet" and "constellation" (the theme at the time was space). Speaking of themes, the gym decorations are super sweet and change frequently. For example, a few weeks before Christmas, the kids would glide around the gym on paper plates ("skates"), throw snowballs with rolled up white socks. At the end of the class my kids run to me and ask "Mommy, did you see how I was a mean bear and I crawled on those bars and growled?" or "Did you see how I was a spider and I crawled with my feet all the way up on the wall?" Classes are full of creative ideas that make the little ones light up, smile, and laugh when they do the routines. The levels are broken down by age (for example, 2-3 year olds are Pollywogs, 3-4 year olds are Yellow Frogs, 4-5 are Orange Frogs, then Red, Blue, and Green). In order to move up to next level, they have to learn specific skills, and they can keep track of it with their skill chart. At the end of each semester there is a gym show where all parents and friends can come and watch their child perform the skills learned. They are awarded a medal at the end, and if they gained enough skills, they move up to the next level. Another good perk is the type of parents who come there. Very cool and sweet people. I can't even begin to describe how good Jump classes have been for my children. Every week we go there to "recharge", there is so much positive and loving energy there. I definitely recommend this place, it rocks!

The space the owner…read more(Carey) has created is wonderful for playing before/after class and connecting with the other families. My son does several paid activity classes during the week (music, gym, dance, etc.) - this is by far the best value for your money. You'll get music, teachers who have studied the curriculum and Montessori education, movement, language development, and a beautiful space for play and community after class. My son started at 11 months and I wish we started earlier! For weeks he just sat in our laps and listened most of the class. He seemed like he wasn't super excited but he was actually just slowly absorbing everything! It's now been four months and he gets so excited every time he hears music he starts dancing and smiling! We listen to all the songs in the car and someties at home and he's started singing along to several words from different songs. He even remembers which words/sounds are coming next - it's so adorable to hear him in the back of the car singing! Heartsong has been great for language development too - an unexpected plus! My son started saying words with difficult sounds (e.g., "car") that we hadn't heard as a babble sound or really used often and we figured out it's because the "ca"/"ka" sound is used in several songs we're singing this semester. Neat! I love that Heartsong follows the Music Together curriculum which means you do the same set of about 25 songs over the 10-week "semester" and then move to a different set. This allows time for the kids to get used to the sound of a song over the semester. The songs have been developed to help with language development (lots of different sounds), music development, and even self-regulation (slower/faster). I love that the teachers offer insights on why certain things they do help with development. The in-class experience will vary by teacher. Keep that in mind if you decide to do demo classes first.
