I've held off writing this review because we love create studio so much that I wanted to do it…read morejustice. I love this place as much as the kids do- it's an open invite to play and create anything they want to. The staff here is so friendly and I've seen them build a house out of cardboard (from scratch) for a little girl. We are frequent flyers here, if we have an open morning this is easily our top spot to go to. First, the play area is so fun. It's interactive, it leaves room for imagination, and it's always pretty organized. My two year old girl and four year old boy both find things to do and have fun. They have a group canvas kids can add to but also easels set up for them to paint their own creations. The craft area set up is great. Each table is sort of set up with an idea/concept like water coloring, paint pens, a jewelry bead bar for them to make bracelets and necklaces. The supplies are there for your kids to create. They take donations or recycled items like applesauce twist tops, cardboard tubes, etc. these are all available to use. Surprisingly my two year old LOVES to watercolor and all the stickers. I'm waiting for one of their adult nights because I am so serious when I say the vibes are great here. They also have a gift shop in the front entrance with items they use in the studio plus a lot of gift able items. I can never resist looking at what fun new things they have. Every single item in the shop would make a great gift for somebody. A few more woohoo's: *snack friendly, you can bring food or buy some snacks here and they have tables to sit at and enjoy your snack *they have a changing table in the bathroom *big parking lot *easy to book online and see their schedule *staff is good with kids of all ages *next door to Terra toys, I mean c'mon lol

However, as I get older and wiser, I tend to branch out in my date Devil adventures...ever so slightly. On my bucket list for a date devil adventure is jumping from a plane. I'm not there yet for parachuting out of a plane. Today, was the big day for what I consider a dare devil adventure.... Ice skating. In my head I repeated this mantra.... Let's go, let's go, let's go!!! You got this. So, sheepishly I walk up to the counter and ask how much the entry fee was...$20 including skates... not cheap but not crazy expensive either. Ok. You can do this. I ask if I sit outside before I go on the ice. No problem the skate representative said. The fee included skating to 1 pm today. I had plenty of time to muster up my courage. Then my mind started to swirl and then spin...fast and faster! Next, I was in a full on Exorcist head turning moment. Girlie, you no spring chicken any more. You are not twenty years old. Why is it so cold in here? Why does it feel like ice is flowing through my veins? Remember when you broke your little toe in two places...exercising.... Ugly boot for three months...no heels for 1.5 years. Run Delores run!!! Your birthday is next month. Do you want to flat heels for your birthday. Nooooooooooooo!!! I jumped up and bolted out of Chaparral Ice like I was being chased my hungry pack of wolves. I applaud myself for trying to be adventurous today. However, I'm not quite there yet. Maybe after my birthday....

My daughter was in an after school girlstart class and just completed her one week online camp session. They had a zoom meeting in the morning followed by a daily project and another zoom meeting in the afternoon to talk about results. The girls engineered a rover to explore Mars, went over genetics, created a double helix dinosaur dna model and, built a light up logo. They also studied sutures for surgical procedures which they practiced on stuffed animal patients. The final project was to program an ozobot with color coded paths they designed on their own. On the last day of camp the girls discussed goals they had for themselves and their futures in the STEM field. Girlstart empowers girls to be successful, brave, and resilient. We will definitely re enroll for after school classes and summer camp!

This park really does have something for everyone, whether you're a kid who's wanting to explore a playground, a tennis or pickleball player wanting to play a few games, a basketball court, sand volleyball court, outdoor workout equipment and lots of Green space to just chill. If you're looking to host events they also have covered picnic tables. A lot of people bring their dogs to play and the park even has a water fountain that's at dog height for when it's too hot out. There's also a ton of free street parking around. There is an elementary school next door so some of the free start parking is not allowed during certain hours.

It's a nice pool and the chemicals usually keep the pool in balance but some times in can be rather harsh. It's a great place to take my nieces and nephews when they visit. They have so much fun. The park has tennis courts and it's easy to play in and generally people are respectful of time. That pickleball thing is fun to watch and it's nice that they can have two games play on one tennis court. I have a terrible time with dogs off leash. I get that people love their pets but it's just not safe. The law is the law and it protects people from accidents. I've had two experiences where someone's dog has come running towards me off leash! I have no idea what that dog is going to do and hearing, "He's a good dog, he won't bite"! MEANS NOTHING TO ME. Anyway. It happened again this morning. I'll start carrying a walking stick.

Heartsong is amazing! It is so great for music and language development! The space the owner…read more(Carey) has created is wonderful for playing before/after class and connecting with the other families. My son does several paid activity classes during the week (music, gym, dance, etc.) - this is by far the best value for your money. You'll get music, teachers who have studied the curriculum and Montessori education, movement, language development, and a beautiful space for play and community after class. My son started at 11 months and I wish we started earlier! For weeks he just sat in our laps and listened most of the class. He seemed like he wasn't super excited but he was actually just slowly absorbing everything! It's now been four months and he gets so excited every time he hears music he starts dancing and smiling! We listen to all the songs in the car and someties at home and he's started singing along to several words from different songs. He even remembers which words/sounds are coming next - it's so adorable to hear him in the back of the car singing! Heartsong has been great for language development too - an unexpected plus! My son started saying words with difficult sounds (e.g., "car") that we hadn't heard as a babble sound or really used often and we figured out it's because the "ca"/"ka" sound is used in several songs we're singing this semester. Neat! I love that Heartsong follows the Music Together curriculum which means you do the same set of about 25 songs over the 10-week "semester" and then move to a different set. This allows time for the kids to get used to the sound of a song over the semester. The songs have been developed to help with language development (lots of different sounds), music development, and even self-regulation (slower/faster). I love that the teachers offer insights on why certain things they do help with development. The in-class experience will vary by teacher. Keep that in mind if you decide to do demo classes first.
