Line was long and moving with in 2 min I got a women to take my vegan ice cream order and got a water and ice cream 2 scoops inside a cup and a straw and a punch card for points . Easy smooth no problems. Nice service today . Busy inside . Only had 3 vegan options today .

Back Porch Iced Tea, Rumchata, and Bourbon Pecan Blondie

I think I'm a special case here bc I got the ice cream for free, and who doesn't want free ice cream?! For the price I didn't pay, the experience was worth it! I got the Back Porch Iced Tea, Rumchata (seasonal flavor), and Bourbon Pecan Blondie (seasonal flavor). I enjoyed the Bourbon Pecan Blondie the most of the three! Back Porch Iced Tea sort of tastes kind boba, Rumchata has a coconut and slight alcohol taste to it, and Bourbon Pecan Blondie has a strong pecan flavor to it (obviously). The workers were very nice, and it's a bit small inside with limited seating, but it's nice and clean. Lick was celebrating its 13th anniversary which is why I got the ice cream free if you wanted to know! It is pretty pricey ice cream though.

This was delicious ice cream. It was on par with other ice cream venues with regard to taste and price. The service was excellent as well. If you're in the area, stop in for a treat!

Small Ice Cream in the process of being consumed

Lick Ice Cream is tucked away between Bufulina Due and Finley Barbershop, all of which are next to Barley Swine on Burnet Road. Finley and Lick share parking spots. In the back, there appears to also be extra parking. If you enter in the late afternoon on a sunny day, expect sunlight to stream directly through the windows. There are two freezers where all their available flavors are presented to you. You won't find any run of the mill flavors here. Instead, the flavor creations here are more interesting. A strong point here is that their ice cream is not overly sweetened; you taste the goat cheese, the herbs, or the fruits used. We opted to order a small (up to 2 flavors) with Grapefruit Paloma and Goat Cheese, Thyme, & Honey. Surprisingly, they paired together quite well. However, where was interesting was that even though the flavors came through without being excessively sweet, both flavors still tasted very similar. We were able to determine that the Grapefruit one was on the bottom and the Goat Cheese one was the top scoop. Together, they were quite refreshing. Besides, who doesn't like goat cheese and grapefruit? Service-wise, they do offer samples if you'd like to try any flavors. And is a tiny seating area inside. I would definitely come back here are try more flavors. I'd describe the ice cream as being on the lighter side--they must use both milk and cream, rather than cream alone. So as a base, it's lighter (in fat) than what you'd get from Cayuga Lake Creamery up in Interlaken, NY, but it's able to still carry a good amount of flavor, although lighter. I would still say Cayuga Lake Creamery's ice cream packs a more powerful punch of flavor.

Best ice cream EVER!! Was in Austin Texas on a HOT day and needed some ice cream. Found Lick ice cream and headed that way. This place is small and cute inside. They have parking in the front and the back. The 1 lone person working was nice and gave us a taste!! I highly recommend this place. The prices are very reasonable. And they have flavors that can not be found anywhere else. They have a couple of locations in Houston!!

After dinner thought I'd have a quick dessert next door at Lick Honest Ice Cream. Different than the normal ice cream. Sampled 1/2 of the selection and chose the salted caramel. Delicious. Was extremely cold inside bldg and decided to eat my treat outside on a bench. Cute place.

Always a great spot for some ice cream. They change some of their favorites every few months so check out their website for their flavors. The parking lot is small here but there is a parking garage next door where you can park on the first floor and walk over. Service is pretty quick. Small ice cream shop with 2 tables and a bar seating area facing the parking lot In the evening it can get pretty busy, so keep in mind you might have to wait for a bit.

Frommage ice cream.

I had wonderful ice cream, frommage and fig ice cream. I loved this ice cream. Normally, I am not a fan of figs. The kids Ice cream with chocolate sauce was delicious. Next time I will get the caramel corn flavor. Unusual flavors and well known in Austin .

You Melt My heart Highlights: *Rotating Seasonal Flavors *Locally Sourced Ingredients *Homemade Waffle Cones Review: Ice Cream is always the answer and this spot does not miss. I got a scoop of tres leches and one of carrot cake ice cream on their homemade waffle cones. The Tres Leches ice cream was light, milky, semisweet, with hints of vanilla and sweet cream. My favorite was the Carrot Cake, it was rich, sweet, with hints of cinnamon, carrot, nutmeg and cream cheese. All delicious topped on their warm, soft and crunchy golden brown waffle cone. Can't wait to try their other seasonal flavors. Rating: 10/10 Carrot Cake- Sweet local carrots spiced with cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg are blended with Mother Culture cream cheese into our ice cream for a flavor that tastes just like your favorite carrot cake. Tres Leches- Airy sponge cake soaked in three milks- evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and cream - is folded into our house made dulce de leche ice cream!

You can pick cookies or brownies for your sandwich, and the combinations are endless. The service is great and everything feels fresh and thoughtfully made. The inside is a bit small, but this location has a really nice lawn and patio area where you can sit and enjoy your treat. It's the perfect place to hang out, especially on a warm day. Pro tip: choose two different cookies so you can try more than one flavor, and always get your sandwich warmed up. It takes it to a whole new level. Such a unique and delicious stop in Austin.

I mean you can see for yourself that the ice cream sandwich looks 10 out of 10 fire. I did the custom ice cream sandwich with vanilla ice cream two different cookies- one was the gooey butter cake (overpowering after a few bites) did not finish & the other was like a oreo & cookie mix (much better) and did finish. Vanilla ice cream was decent, but nothing special. I might get it again if I was in the area and really had a sweet tooth, but I would definitely go for some different flavors because they just didn't hit the same this time.

A milestone. A monument. A celebration of a man whose legend looms over Austin like a slightly tipsy bat. Nate Gardog & Co bravely ordered what was advertised as an Oreo cake meant to serve 4-5 humans. What arrived, however, was not a cake. It was not even a mini-cake. It was... a cupcake wearing platform shoes. A baked good masquerading as something it clearly was not. The bag was on us, literally and spiritually. Shane--who, need I remind you, is an Austin icon, a man whose culinary preferences are practically carved into the walls of Barton Springs--was forced to confront this fraudulent pastry. And let me tell you: no man deserves this. Not at 38. Not ever. If the staff at Amy's were the true clairvoyants we believed them to be, they would have inherently known Shane's one, true, universal flavor: Funfetti. Classic. Chaotic. Confetti for the soul. Yet here we stood. Funfetti-less. Candle-less. Hope-less. As the final insult, there were no candles. Not even a sad, melted tea light from the back. Nothing to blow out except disappointment. In conclusion: the vibes were off, the cake was tiny, and Shane--our dear, beloved Shane--deserved better.

Located on 6th Street, Jim Jim's is surprisingly accessible with parking spots available out front and just around the corner. It's not a sitdown place so keep that in mind for your stop, but the line does move fast and they are very efficient. There's a good variety of flavors and things they serve from italian ice to ice cream and shakes. We opted for a strawberry italian ice with condensed milk on top. From the first bite we were in heaven. The flavor is very thorough which is not always the case for Italian ices where it can sometimes be a bit muted. Every single bite of this was packed with flavor. They also carve out a bit of the middle to put the condensed milk which makes every bite much more equal than if it was just placed at the top. This was by far one of, if not the best, Italian ices we've ever had. We would very much recommend it to anyone in the Downtown area looking to cool off.
