More than 5 stars! First introduced to this company when my homeowners association contracted them to care for a huge oak limb that weighed a few hundred pounds, dangling precariously more than 30' overhead. We needed several trees removed from our small yard before the roots took over the neighborhood. Amazingly fast and very affordable. Even went the extra mile and rehung our sun shade to a different tree. Clean up was perfect. Wish they did landscaping too! You can't go wrong with this company. Professional. Efficient. Affordable. read more

My neighbors used them - the huge tree was also in my yard. They came over and trimmed a ton off and did a great job! I will also say the clean up in my yard was awesome - you'd have never known they were there. Great job!!! read more

While doing my neighbors yard they thought it appropriate to use the leaf blower directed at my yard to blow dust completely covering my asthmatic children playing. they proceeded to use the weed whacker on the fence line and shot my kids including toddlers with rocks. read more

We are so grateful for Alfonso's team and for all their amazing work. They removed a giant tree that was leaning dangerously and took care of a lot of other tree work (pruning, tree shaping, stump grinding) on the property at the same time. They were reliable, efficient, tidy, and courteous. Very affordable price as well. Thank you!! read more

Vasquez Tree came out and gave me a quote that came in under everyone else. I had a Sycamore tree and stump removed that was probably about 40 or so feet tall. They finished the job in about 5 hours and cleaned up everything, without damaging my chain link fence. I would highly recommend them. Plus removed many old large branches that had fallen and were sitting on the side of the house. Awesome job! BTW: they only accept cash and checks read more

Vazquez Tree Service - Now you see it, now it's gone - Tree Services Near Me

Alfonso Vasquez and his crew are first rate. The price was very reasonable and the guys were hard-working. They all have special talents and mesh well together as a team. We had one of the trunks from a huge five-trunk bay laurel come down on the back of our house on Thursday, and they were on the job Monday. They had to take the entire thing down, working carefully around phone and SMUD lines. The tree was right up against a neighbor's new fence, and we were amazed how skillfully they prevented even the small stuff from going over. Clean up was very thorough. Highly recommended! read more

Professional, safe and efficient as always! I've utilized Vazquez Tree Service for several of my properties. Alfonso and his team take all necessary steps to ensure safety, such as wearing masks as well as all safety gear. They explain what's to be expected in doing the job, they have reasonable rates, and they make sure to clean up any left over debris. Thanks for the great service! I will continue to recommend your company. read more

The BEST tree service in the greater Sacramento area! I just had a massive, beast of a fruitless Mulberry tree professionally cut and trimmed by Vasquez Tree Service snd the work was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The crew of 3-4 men had to work in the tight confines of my backyard and a difficult neighbor. They worked non-stop for five hours and everything went without any issue. There is not one scrap of tree debris anywhere. It's perfectly clean an the tree looks beautiful and healthy now. I couldn't be happier and at a very, very reasonable cost. Their trucks and wood chipper were new and everyone worked so efficiently. I've had this tree trimmed 3 other times by various companies and this was by far the absolute best! 10 stars for Vasquez Tree Service! Do yourself a favor and call them for a quote and you will be amazed by the price and QUALITY work! read more

Went with Alfonso again for this year and still five star. His team was super patient with our chaotic backyard chickens, dogs and kids had to be corralled. Everything looks great and the whole team is really friendly. read more

A good experience. Alphonso gave me a reasonable estimate, and had a team out to my place 3 days later. They were very flexible and kindly accommodated my neighbor, when she decided spur of the moment that she wanted her part trimmed as well. Good value and nice to deal with. read more

I obtained 3 quotes from tree service companies, all yelp recommend, I verified their licenses with the State Contractor's Board and I checked the BBB website to make sure each company did not have any complaints in the last 3 years. I ended up hiring Alfonso's company, Vasquez Tree Service. They took down a huge fruitless mulberry and nice sized Modesto ash for me. They grinded both stumps plus a third. They did a great job at a great price. They showed up on time for the job and Alfonso replied to my initial phone call quickly and came to my house and gave me a quote. read more

This tree service did an okay job on my maple tree in the back yard, when I needed to remove some branches overhanging my house, my neighbor's apple tree and the back fence. The price was fair and the men who did the job were well trained. They cleaned up the yard after themselves, arrived on time and did not mess around. However, the tree is now very blocky with partial limbs sprouting leaves all over. (This is not entirely their fault, I asked them to do it). The workers are Hispanic and there was some language barrier, even though I speak Spanish myself. One of the workers spoke English pretty well. In retrospect, I probably should have just had that tree removed and at some point next fall I probably will. But I have found a group of tree trimmers who work locally for extra income who A) charge less and B) show much more interest in the tree's health and appearance. So I will likely use them for tree work in the future. read more

Vasquez Tree Service provided exceptional service. We had a 47yo dying Maple. Alfonso is the owner and heb was there to personally oversee the project. They came out with a crew, truck with mulcher. They took the tree down, cleaned up all the debris, and were very efficient. Perfect. The were also the lowest bid we got. Will be calling Alfonso for future tree work. Highly recommended. read more

We contacted four (4) tree service companies, to obtain a bid/quote for cutting and trimming the corner area of our yard. The work required cleaning up, and thinning out a large magnolia tree and topping an olive tree, along with a variety of other trees and bushes. It appeared that after we purchased the house, this are of the yard (between the fence and yard, had never been trimmed or cleaned. After obtaining the four (4) quotes, which ran from $2,500.00 down to Vazquez Tree Service. The jobs to be performed, per company where all presented to them in same manner. In a couple of hours, Vazquez Tree Service, had completed the job, cleaned the front yard, side yard, and the street. At this juncture, I was seriously recommend them, as an affordable, reliable service. Insured, licensed and bonded. Antelope/Sacramento read more

Out of three bids, Vasquez came in the lowest, but they did, imho, a very good job. They were on time, organized, and cleaned up well after themselves. No "cherry pickers", just tree climbers with chainsaws. read more

Very unprofessional guys. Don't ever book a service with them. Alfonso is not a good person to talk to. They were cutting down the trees of my neighbor and they never talked to us about it or communicated with us. While doing their job, they broke off a huge branch of my tree which fell in my yard and destroyed my bench and other plants. Even, then for another 30 mins, they never reported such thing. When I finally saw it in my yard, I approached them to talk to them. They denied all responsibility and even asked me money to clean it up. All I wanted then was to clean up the mess they made in my yard. Still, they denied to do it. They told me that it isn't their responsibility as I have no proof of them doing it. They were standing right next to my fallen tree chopping down the neighbor's tree. They tried to blame on the tree for being rotten and weak. it was a healthy tree with all green branches and leaves. They don't know how to take responsibility for their actions. They don't know anything about customer service. So, don't ever use their service. They have fake reviews everywhere. You will see the same reviews on yahoo, angielist and other websites. That means they were posted by the company itself. No one legitimate would post the same review on every website out there. read more

We have a huge dead pine tree in front of our yard and it needed to be removed. Vasquez Tree Service provided the most reasonable quote. They came around 11:00 a.m. and finished by 3:00 p.m. The crew was very professional and they cleaned up after they finished. I will definitely refer Vazquez Tree Service to everybody I know. I had more trees that need to be removed on my backyard, guess who I'm calling when I'm ready to get those removed...you guessed it, Vazquez Tree Service. They are that good. read more

This is the third time I've used this tree service, and it won't be the last, these guys rock. Reasonable prices, professional work, on time, total clean up afterwards and polite. Alfonso is a really good person and it shows in the people he hires to work for him. Had electrical and phone wires, other plants and fences right next to the tree to come down, absolutely nothing got damaged. Precision work for sure. read more

If possible, would not even give one star! Cannot recommend this company at all! Not reliable, was stood up three times, no call backs, no cancellations. They don't know anything about customer service. That's no good business practice and very disrespectful! There are plenty of other Tree Services in Sacramento. My recommendation: don't bother with them and call someone else! read more

We have a HUGE oak tree in our very SMALL back yard. we had several tree services come out, two would not touch it (too big of a job and too tight of a space) Mr. Vazquez came out TWICE to discuss price and our concerns . we set a date to begin work. They arrived on time and spent two days working in horrible heat and humidity. They are exceptional workers. Very professional, dependable, and their clean up was superb. WE are beyond happy with their service. Just wish we could rate them a 10!!!!!!!! They are the BEST. read more

This is the second time I have used Alfonso and his crew for tree service. This time to prune a huge fruitless pear, remove two dead trees and grind the stumps, and remove a few branches from a tall tree overhanging a Japanese maple. They show up timely, were extremely frindly, courteous, and professional. They completed the job quickly and thoroughly, cleaning up afterwards completely and hauling away. They were careful not to harm my large prized Japanese maple while removing the large limbs of another tree crowding it. Excellent job, totally pleased. As a State employee, finances are tight due to years of pay cuts. The work was very reasonable, well within my budget. I highly recommend them to anyone! Greg read more

The owner is very truthful, his company trimmed 6 trees for us and did a wonderful job and at a very reasonable price..I referred my brother to him for tree trimming, Alfonso told my brother to contact SMUD to do the work around the power lines..Even though he could do the work, SMUD was responsible for the maintenance around the lines and he didn't want to charge him. He also mentioned what season to have the trees trimmed.. Sunday, Alfonso sent one of his workers to grind some roots that were still growing in my front yard, at no charge, from a tree that was removed 1 year ago.. If you need honest, reliable, dependable, work done, Vasquez Tree Service is the place to call... John & Vickie Johnson read more

We had to have a huge tree removed from a rental property that had a two foot crack in its trunk. We got three estimates and Vasquez was by far the most reasonable. They did a fantastic job, were reliable, and cleaned up not only our backyard, but the two neighbor's yards on either side of the property where many years of dead leaves & branches had accumulated. They showed up on time with a crew of about six men and had the job done in two & a half days. I would certainly use these folks again for future tree trimming! We had several tree services come out and bid a job that included 4 trees needing either trimming or removal. The guys from Vazquez were friendly, knowledgable and responsive to our questions and concerns. They trimmed the trees and now they look better then they ever have. They also cut the other trees down to manageable pieces so we will have wood for the fireplace in several months should we ever chose to use it. They cleaned up after they were done and the yard looked better then when they came and all for an EXTREMELY competitive price. We will be calling Vazquez in the future when we need to trim the trees again. Thank you guys!!! read more

Alfonso finally picked up his check for the service performed (at my job after many attempts to set a time to swing by the house 3-4)and was very sincere in his apologies - apparently his laptop was stolen and he didn't know numbers and appointments for a couple week period (things happen) and due to busy schedule was unable to come by my house so my job was more convienent. Alfonso was a nice guy and I may or may not use them in the future again read more

ATTENTION ALL! I could not help reading Wendy's incredulous post from December. Not sure what is going on in that household, but as a neighbor of yours (yes, I know who you are), I can tell you that Alonzo has taken care of all the tree trimming needs on all of our properties for the past eighteen years, and never ever has he screwed me. We do armwrestle a bit back and forth while he gives me the estimate, we settle on the price, he does the work and I pay him. That is how it works here in America. Obviously one can not please everyone all the time, but your disparaging remarks could not go un-responded to. If anyone has any questions about Alfonzo's integrity, unlike some people that choose to hide behind a post, I am an open book. I am not a relative, not an employee (like some B.S. Yelps) and not a friend. I am merely a satisfied customer that has had years of experience with Alfonzo and think that Wendy' issues might have nothing to do with Alfonzo's work. I talked to Alfonso personally a received a decent bid. We set up the service for a Saturday morning 3 weeks later. I had everything ready to go, cars moved, contacted the neighbors ect. Alfonso and his company never showed up. I called and texted a few times and nothing. Apparently the tree business is booming because I was under the impression that $700 was a decent job. Guess not, thanks for nothing. read more

Alfonso and crew recently did some work for me in my backyard. They removed a good size Douglas Fir and three small to mid-size Birch, including grinding the stumps. They also trimmed a large Sycamore and two large Birch. Before hiring them I met with three other well-regarded tree trimming businesses, and I choose Alfonso because his was the lowest bid (half as much as the most expensive bid, in fact). They started shortly before 8 a.m. and were finished by 3 p.m. They did a great job and cleaned-up the yard before they left. I highly recommend Vasquez Tree Service and would hire them again for a tree removal or trim. read more

In case this review gets taken down like mine always seem to, check Angie's List for almost the exact same review! My husband and I had thought we could take down a 30' - 40' tree in our front yard ourselves. And we got most of it down- all except 1 large branch that overhung the roof. Of course this looked ridiculous and I was afraid a good wind storm might take the branch (and part of our roof) down by itself. So, just 4 days before Thanksgiving, I called Vazquez Tree service since I was familiar with them from when we'd gotten bids on taking down a 120' redwood tree that was just 4 feet from the rear side of the house. At the time, his references had checked out really well but I'd decided to go with another company that could bring in really large equipment. The owner came out the next day. He said they were booked literally every day for the next 4 weeks except Thanksgiving Day. He offered to do it on Thanksgiving. I asked if didn't he want to have the day off and told him that we wouldn't even be in town, but he said that he could see we were in a pickle, so they'd do it for us, although they wouldn't be able to deal with all the wood and leaves that we'd already stacked neatly in the street. I said that it sounded great and offered to pay him a portion before hand, but he turned me down. After we got back from Thanksgiving, imagine my shock to not only see the tree gone, the stump ground, but also no more branches, leaves or split logs! Even the yard was cleaner than I'd left it. I couldn't believe it! They'd even done what they'd said they couldn't! On Thanksgiving! And for only $325! I was beyond grateful. Thank you Vazquez Tree Service! My only compliant is that it was hard to connect with them afterwards to pay them. Not a big problem for me. It would seem like a bigger problem for them. read more
