I arrived at 10:00 for a scheduled appointment and was turned away because the stylist quit. No one called to tell me she was no longer there. Furthermore, they did not demonstrate any desire to either work me in anyway or reschedule before I left. They said someone would call me to schedule another appoitment, but no one did. This is very unprofessional. read more

This is a little long over due, but I was so happy to come across this Salon and meet Hairstylist LYVIA! To give a little background on how we met, I originally had a hair appointment with another hairstylist at another salon one weekend, my hairstylist cancelled on me last minute just a few days before a Vegas trip! So I needed help ASAP. My friend Greta who also does lashes here, recommended me to Lyvia. Luckily she had a opening that same day and I came in. Since, I have continued to come back. She has been so patient with my thick hair and all my hair questions/needs. She takes time to respond to my questions and always gives me her honest opinion and hair advice when needed. I'm so glad I met her. read more

Ericka Cole is the best of the best and never disappoints!! The salon is clean and every one who works here is so welcoming and pleasant. Thank you ladies, especially Ericka, for always sending me back into the real world better than I came in!!! read more

I found this salon originally on Groupon when they were having a special, and I'm glad I did. Brooke helped me and really listened to what I wanted. The color melt she did on my hair was so perfect! I look forward to coming back in soon to change it up for spring! read more

My stylist Brittanye just moved to Salon Vanity from a Glendora Village salon that I never felt very welcomed at. I've been so happy to have found Brittanye because I have very difficult hair to deal with and she gets my hair that's elastic and curly and poofy. She also has been doing my daughters full head of lion's main and my son and husband who have hair that grows in every direction and is course and curly. She understands color, highlights, tone, style is an expert stylist and charges fair market price for very meticulous work. She uses great products- I have psoriasis in the scalp and her products have been the gentlest I've ever encountered! We have always told her we'd follow her anywhere within 15-20 miles if she ever moved, and we are so thrilled with salon vanity, its staff that is so welcoming, down to earth and kind. It's the perfect salon for Brittany and her clients. There's a comradery at salon vanity between the stylists that was missing at the old salon and it makes the place so welcoming! We love it read more

So I found this place through a Groupon about a year ago and have been seeing Katrin since my first visit. She's amazing! She pays such great attention to detail and always explains the process but more importantly takes her time and never makes you wait. She offers great advice and is honest about what looks good. She has such a great personality, she's friendly, funny but also, very professional. I have called her few times for a last minute trim and she always manages to squeeze me in, even if it means working late on a Friday night. I am SO happy I found this place. It is always clean and everyone is very nice. The little waiting area is super cute. I'd totally recommend Katrin to anyone. She's amazing at cuts, coloring and styling! I'd give her more than 5 stars if I could! read more

So happy to have stepped into Salon Vanity. Genna B. was an amazing stylist. Besides making me feel pretty at the end she was a great listener. She made me feel right at home greeting me with some coffee and listening to all my needs. I loved my experience with Genna? and the salon decor was very inviting. To anyone that is looking for a good salon I recommend it. You will leave feeling like a princess and beautiful. Thank you Geena, can't wait to see you again soon. read more

I went in last November and told Katie to just do whatever she wanted. She's funny and easy to talk to, but more than that she is a color goddess and made me a unicorn princess. I've been back to see her a few months later to get my hair toned. She gave me a cool, stormy silver and blended my roots in. I have an appointment in a week, and I know I'm going to love whatever we do next. read more

Geena is the GIRL!!! My lifeless hair truly transformed the day I walked in late one afternoon and met Geena. I LOVE this woman! She made me feel at ease right away. I was looking for a change, but not quite sure what I wanted, so Geena took matters into her own hands, but all along kept me informed with what she was doing; getting my thoughts on the style, the cut, how dark or light I want my hair...before you know it, nearly 3 hours zoomed by and I was left in awe!! I LOVE my new cut and color...and so did my husband!! I am looking forward to my next visit!!! I should mention her prices are extremely affordable and quality of products is superb! (she uses Paul Mitchell and Redken). Go see Geena!! Your hair will thank you :-) read more

Katrin has been styling my hair for 5+ years now and has given my matted mess a complete makeover. She is meticulous at color and recently she gave me a Brazilian Blow out. I was always hesitant that it would take the volume or curl out of my hair, but all it takes out is the unruly frizz leaving shiny manageable hair! Embarrassingly, before the Brazilian I couldn't leave the house the day I washed my hair because no one needed to see my raw unruly huge hair! The Brazilian allows me to go out in public even on hair washing day! I'm so very thankful for Katrin and the meticulous beautiful work she does! read more

Vanity Salon - Chocolate bass and Carmel Bayalage!! AMAZING!! - Hair Salons Near Me - Glendora, California

So I have very unfriendly and uncooperative hair and to top it off I have extensions. Lyvia has done a SUPERB job in making sure my hair stays healthy and shiny with great volume. She takes her time and does a meticulous job. FLAWLESS work of art. I won't go to anyone else. She does my haircuts, hair color, Brazilian blow outs, extensions.... extensions that blend perfectly with your real hair. Never had I gotten so many compliments on my hair like I do now. I can't stop staring at my hair... almost like we are in this close relationship as retarded as that may sound, but that's what great hair will do to you read more

Love love love! Went in asking for an Auburn look and left with exactly what I wanted thanks to Lyvia Uribe! 10/10 would recommend her. I didn't ever feel her rushing the process and she really paid attention to detail.. Amazing customer service, good prices and even better work.. BEFORE AND AFTER PICS! read more

Ask for Kelsey! I found this place on Yelp! It's taken me a bit to write this review. But I have officially been going to Salon Vanity getting my hair cut and colored by Kelsey for just about 1 year. I went from medium length to cutting more and more until I ended up with a pixie. I love it! I have loved every visit, and I go in every 3 weeks. Once I went short she was happy to give me mini-cuts in between my regular cut & color. Friendly, prompt, careful and really makes an effort to give you exactly the cut you want. Appt only, but she's very flexible and I always get a text reminder before the day of my appt. read more

Tiffany is a sweet but overbearing person. I just went in for a haircut but what I got was a continuous sermon. Tiffany described herself as a messenger for Jesus and she gave me that message from beginning to end all I wanted was a haircut nice or not I will not be going back to Tiffany if I wanted a sermon I would go to church. I'm sure her Christian clients adore her she's just not my style and I'm not hers read more

I can't believe how rude Lyvia is. Over the phone she seemed so friendly but in person she is unbelievably condescending and rude. She thinks so highly of herself and seems to be stuck in a bubble of reality. I went in for a basic trim and she cut off way more than I wanted her to. When I said something she made a sarcastic remark. I don't think the other hair stylists here are nearly as bad as her, so if you're gonna come here don't go to Lyvia. read more

Perfect hair and makeup salon in Glendora! If you need to look fab for your girls night out or a date with your guy, they will hook it up! I went here for a quick makeup application and blowout and Geena did an incredible job making me look beautiful and classy. She listened to everything I wanted for my hair and makeup and was also a great person to have a conversation with while getting the work done. I think the only critique I can give and it's more so for the salon not the people working there is it'd be great to see a variety of products for makeup available - either different brands or something. What was used on me did the job but it's always nice to have lots of variety when getting makeup done. As for Geena though and others I saw working there, they did an amazing job with my look and made my whole experience welcoming and fun! read more

Kelsey is my stylist, she is amazing, very affordable and takes her time "every time" in making sure my hair looks perfect. I came to her with my hair looking and feeling beyond damaged and she has slowly giving me treatments and haircuts to repair my hair. I really don't know how she does it but I get highlights and my hair does not get damaged like before. My hair is now feeling smooth and much, much healthier!! I have recently bought one of the products she has been telling me to use and finally decided to get and my oh my, looove this product!! Is one of the hair products they offer and sell at this salon. (U Luxury Moisture & Shine) Thank you Kelsey for taking care of my hair, you're the best!! read more

Emily is hands down the best hair stylist in Southern California. She goes above and beyond to make you feel beautiful. I came in with some pretty intense hair issues prior to my wedding and walked out feeling like a million dollars. she made me feel comfortable and was realistic but enthusiastic about what would look best and what the possibilities were for my special day. She is super creative and a total perfectionist. I have friends who go to her as well and her work has always been flawless with coloring, cuts and styling. If you're looking for a new salon and stylist in SoCal, I wouldn't recommend anyone but Emily. read more

To anyone who is sceptical: I am from London, England. I did not know who to go to for my hair. I love cool, stylish and sometimes colourful hair. I was referred to this Salon and I met Lyv. In brief, fabulous hairdresser and fabulous person. Listens and understands - attentive, specific and very talented. We went from dirty blonde to ash white to silver and it was near damn perfect. Very lovely person who works hair like an art and I couldn't be happier. I am quite particular and sometimes bossy which can be a bad thing (I know this) but her patience was incomparable and the results were exactly what I wanted. This is after my second appointment with Lyv and I drove 2.5hours to get here. Definitely worth it. Thank you, see you soon! Matt - Huntington Beach read more

This salon was amazing! I used a groupon for balayage and a haircut. My stylist Mitzi was awesome and her balayage is the best I have ever received. I have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful my hair looks. I was nervous going to a new salon to get color done but this was such a great experience. Mitzi was so kind and professional. I would highly recommend this salon and definitely recommend Mitzi--her work is amazing!! read more

Kileen is the best!!! My skin is looking amazing! She is so gentle and sweet. Honestly, my skin has never looked better.....

I don't know where to start. This is going to be a review packed with compliments... so if you're looking for something negative... check out another salon's page! :) My review is about a specific stylist, Kelsey T (or Kelsey Jene as I'll reference later). I first met Kelsey in LA when she was at another salon in Silverlake. I started seeing her because i was FED UP with getting a "shellac manicure" at other salons in LA, only to have it chip and peel off within a week... so much for a $30 manicure! (And seriously, in LA... i couldn't figure out why it was so hard to find anyone who was reliable and charged a reasonable price!) Kelsey is ACTUALLY a certified shellac specialist... meaning she was trained using the products and ONLY uses shellac products. She's the real deal. After seeing her, i swear i could go 3 weeks or longer, but i just get too excited about my next color, so i can't wait longer than two weeks. Seriously though.... she has the BEST imagination with the colors/ styles and has the talent to back it up. check instagram for #shellacbykelseyjene you won't be disappointed. i swear i "like" them all! okay... so after seeing Kelsey for months for my nails, i decided i wanted this spunky little chick to do my hair too! And i am in love... haha. seriously though, she just gets it. cut, color, you name it... she's awesome. it started with her having to fix a MAJOR screw up by my last stylist.... like, it was bad. Kelsey stayed after hours to make sure i was perfect... literally. It got so late she had to lock up and we decided to order pizza while my hair was getting its SECOND deep conditioning treatment. She's always ready to talk me through my new obsession with wanting to grow out my pixie cut, or to go platinum or now (this weekend) ombre! Bottom line... i would probably follow her to the moon to get my hair and nails done. Since i have started seeing her, she has changed salons and I have changed jobs and had to move to Orange County, but i refuse to find someone else. there just really isn't another option. TRUST ME- ask for Kelsey, you won't regret it. i can promise you will walk out laughing with an awesome new or refreshed look. read more

I love, love, love this salon. The decor is very well done! Ask for Stephanie...She is the BEST. She recently took my long dark hair to a really pretty chestnut color with lots of layers and straight bangs. It came out perfect...couldnt b happier! read more

Like every other woman on this planet we've all had our fair shares of good and not so good hair experiences. Luckily for me my not so good experiences stopped when I came to Brittnye. Being pregnant and feeling frumpy goes hand in hand so when I came in, Brittnye not only brightened up my color but made sure I was comfortable (which we all know is nearly impossible at 39 weeks) I was very grateful to leave refreshed, feeling pretty, and ready to meet my baby! Thanks Brittnye! read more

Jessi is AMAZING! I found this place on Yelp and needed a change from the previous place I was going to. I called and got an appointment at 5:30... same day (and they're open until 7pm!). I loved it! The place is great and Jessi did such a wonderful job! I will definitely be coming back. read more

LOVE this salon and my hairdresser, who also happens to own it, Kristen Officer!! I've been going to her for years and would follow her anywhere. She is an expert in color and cuts! I've also used Aryn and she does great work too!! I do not trust my hair to anyone but Kristen. read more

This salon is awesome, I came here for a cut and color and I am extremely happy with the final result. The staff here is very welcoming and friendly. My hairdresser was Emily & she was so helpful and patient. I recommend anyone who is thinking about getting something new done to ask for Emily! She got my hair exactly the way I wanted it, and for someone as picky as me, that's saying a lot. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Extremely disappointed, had such a bad experience here. I had high hopes because of all the positive reviews, and it's nearby home too. I had an appointment with Lyvia and wow she is the most unprofessional hair stylist I've come across. She is EXTREMELY condescending and rude, despite me being polite and trying to understand her point of view. I just wanted a simple color for my hair and she kept complaining how it's apparently going to be a lot of work, even though I'm the one paying her. Why complain right to your customers face? So unprofessional. I've heard good things about the other hair stylists in this salon so I do feel bad about leaving a negative review, but Lyvia ruined the experience for me. She also charged me $70 just to wash my hair!!! When she had promised to do everything during my initial appointment, she attempted to rip me off by suddenly changing plans and trying to set me up with a different appointment. Never coming back here. read more

Needed a new stylist and colorist and was referred by my friend to go see Aryn. It was the luckiest day of my life. Having very long, very curly unmanageable hair - it's really more of a mane. Aryn took it on without batting an eye and did an amazing job correcting, coloring and styling my hair. I will never go anywhere else. Whatever I ask for she does and she is fast! The prices are more than reasonable and the salon is adorable. Great atmosphere. You will not be disappointed!! read more

A friend got me a gift certificate to see Killeen (Calderon), the Esthetician there, and I was hooked! I've been back every 4-6 weeks for a facial and peel or microdermabrasion.
