Horrible made 2 appointments with Ashley for Saturday, first canceled at 6am. Following Saturday canceled 30 minutes before appointment. Her reason was she was really sick and throwing up. When I called the salon she answered and was rude as fuck still lying saying she was sick. Don't know what her deal is but she lost a client. read more

I honestly had not heard of Lavish Lounge before and I just wanted a simple wash and cut with a same day appointment. I could not be happier with the service I got here. I called on a Saturday afternoon and asked if there was anyone available, and Ashley said she could fit me in immediately, which was amazing. She also let me use the Yelp offer to get a free deep conditioning treatment (a $35 value). Ashley was so nice, friendly, welcoming, and most importantly for me was that she was completely respectful of the fact that I had to work (I brought my laptop) and made me as comfortable as possible and didn't make me feel pressured to chat the entire time. The cost of my cut was $65, which is super reasonable for me, especially considering my hair is pretty long (down to my right above my waist). There is plenty of free parking in the back if you can't find street parking. The bathroom is really nice and clean, which is always important to me. And they offer free coffee! Overall, I had a great experience and I am definitely coming back to Ashley. read more

Instead of greeting me respectfully, she spoke to me sarcastically and even questioned whether I could "afford" the service, repeating several times that "not everyone can afford to come here honey." This was completely unnecessary and very disrespectful. I was originally quoted $300-$400 for two hair pieces to be lightened, with no color, trim, or additional services included. When I arrived, the price suddenly increased to over $700, and I was told that $400 was "just the starting point," which had never been mentioned before. She also removed my extensions but did not reinstall them, yet still charged me. She made it clear she didn't know how to work with the type of extensions I had, which was frustrating because I just placement them recently. Overall, her customer service skills were extremely lacking. The experience felt disrespectful, unprofessional, and far below what any client should expect. I would NOT recommend this salon, especially if you value clear communication, fair pricing, and basic respect. I initially messaged Judy and waited over a week and nothing. So then I messaged Rayhana and she got back to me right away, even scheduled me in. I was beyond excited. I get to the salon and her assistant greeted me (not a smile) and stated Rayhana would be in shortly. I waited a bit and then Rayhana finally showed up but very unfriendly and dismissive. Not a smile either. Now, I don't expect people to always be smiling. But I am paying for your services, you being friendly is a part of the customer service you provide for your business. There wasn't even friendly convo. She was very serious and dry. She just asked about my hair history and what I wanted, that pretty much sums up all the convo we had. Maybe a few sentences here and there. Then a regular customer seemed to have walked in because her and her assistants demeanor changed to smiling and laughing and conversing with her. So it wasn't that they were in a bad mood or just having a bad morning. They were choosing who to be friendly/nice to. It also bothered me that her assistant did half my hair. I'm supposed to be paying more bc the owner Rayhana is doing my hair... so why is she having her assistant do most of her work. The assistant also washed my hair; toned it; and blow dryed it. When my hair was done, it was too blonde and then one side seemed to not match the other? And I told her and she had the nerve to say "i can't do it even/perfect. I am not a robot" she said "I am not a robot" about 3-5 times. I was beyond irritated. Plus she charged me $90 for a haircut. $90!! When she didn't spend more than 10 minutes cutting it. 5-10min cut. Outrageous. Never coming back here again. Poor service customer. Not friendly at all. They pick and choose.

My first time at this hair salon. I have coarse, salt and pepper, waist length curly hair and was looking for a new stylist. Denise recommended Chevo. She said he enjoyed cutting curly hair. I met Chevo for a quick chat and felt comfortable and fixed up an appointment. Chevo confirmed the appointment the morning of. He put in a lot of effort, was very patient, took his time, went into great detail with the cutting and styling. He gave my hair more lift and fuller, softer layers.
