She was so gentle and paid close attention to detail. She asked me what my problem areas (acne and dryness), then she customized a facial for me according to that. I have a low pain tolerance and I did not feel her extractions one bit because she has a magic touch. I was amazed at how smooth, clean, and glowing she left my face. This is my first Yelp review, although I've been using Yelp for quite some time! I met Sonia last week and was very pleasantly surprised! Her salon is so cute and welcoming. She was very sweet, and at the end of the service she gave a break down of the products she used on my face, just like anyone in her position would; but the one thing I truly appreciate about her is that her service is the main focus rather than the products. I've been to a few places where they do the service just to have you purchase a few products as if the product is the most important piece. Let's be honest, selling products are important for any business, but I am in sells as well and my sales philosophy is to be of service rather than a product pusher because customers are more likely to return to the business based upon the service they received. Because she didn't push anything on me, but rather answered all my questions about what each product was used for, I feel comfortable investing in products from her when I am in the market for a new routine. My favorite part of her service was her extractions because her technique gets all the black heads out without hurting her face! She accomplishes that with a special products that helps the black head slip out of the pore. When I left, I noticed my face was glowing! It's been a few days since the service and my face is still very soft and has a soft glow to it! I highly recommend Vanity Parlor! read more
