Everything I've had at Vanishing West has been truly delicious. Their standard cider is great, but the cocktails are really the star of the show. Don't sleep on the food either. The cowboy nachos are far and away better than most brewery snacks. Make sure you get their punch card!

Fun, new cider place along Colfax. Had been here previously when it was a different brewery but am glad to see Vanishing Ciders has done a good job in making it a place to call home. Fun decor, fun names of ciders (the Cougar Juice is hilarious and tasty), and a fun space to listen to live music. While the venue is small in terms of capacity, VWC makes use of the quaint locale in terms of great service and friendly servers. Additionally, VWC also has a few food items available on the menu. I sampled a little bit of the pretzel, but really their cheese boards and fresh baked bread looked very yum! I will be back for sure when I am in the mood for a cider.

Had a fantastic time at Vanishing West Ciders. We went for a live music event in the small but cozy space. Vanishing West Ciders has made the space their own after another brewery vacated it. Full of fun Western theme decor, they take to heart their motto, "Ride Fast, Sip Slow." There are many cider options to choose from. They also have beer, wine, and cocktails that use their ciders. I started with a flight to determine what I would like. Their cider names are hilarious and smart. Who wouldn't want to order a Cougar Juice? (Yes, I bought the t-shirt!) My favorite, since I prefer a dryer cider, was Champagne Weather. They have a few bites to eat. The Bavarian Pretzel was plentiful. They ran out of the mustard but substituted it with their tasty bacon cider jam. All staff are super friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return when I am in the area and have a hankering for cider.

Be sure to meet the owner standing there in the center, and her sister.

I stopped into Vanishing West Ciders around 5 pm on a Thursday evening after working nearby. I absolutely love ciders and the promise of a new brand was enticing enough to draw me in. I was not disappointed! I was greeted and served quickly. Apparently, this cidery opened just a couple of weeks ago so it's not too busy yet. They haven't even had their grand opening I feel blessed to have enjoyed it during my short time in Aurora. I ordered a flight and sampled five different flavors. I also ordered a cheese platter and the cider donut holes. There was not a thing that I did not enjoy. The ciders in my flight were: 1) Let's Mosey which is a classic apple cider. Oh wow, does it go down easy. It was my favorite. 2) Cougar juice which was a refreshing peach flavor. Very good as well. 3) Campground Swinger, a lovely pineapple flavor. This was my 2nd favorite. 4) Tanglefoot. This was a tart raspberry, not too tart though. Just perfect. 5) Bramble Rambler, blackberry flavor. I would drink any of these again! I was pleased to find out that they will be offering different seasonal flavors. I heard something about potentially a spiced pear coming up in November, I believe. This is the kind of place where you can just keep coming back and trying something different every time. Cheese platter was fantastic. They provided high-end cheese, salami, nuts, and their cider jams. It was all good! I have to comment on the almonds though. They were absolutely beautiful and tasty. They were peeled, lightly oiled and salted, very smooth. They are the best almonds I've ever had! The cheese platter serves probably 3 to 4 people comfortably. Definitely worth the price. So many delicious bites on one platter. Gorgeous presentation, as well. I took some of the cider donut holes to go just because I was so curious They were amazing. The texture and density was absolutely perfect better than a normal donut hole. Highly recommend this cute little cidery. I love their western theme too.

WOW! From top to bottom I cannot say enough good things about Vanishing West. From the fun western-chic decor to the clean and cozy space we felt like we were at home the minute we sat down. I believe the owner was working and I feel terrible I didn't ask her name but she she so engaging and helpful getting us all lined out with our flights and explained each of the ciders we got in excellent detail. We chatted about our respective fur babies and throughly enjoyed each and every one of our ciders. The only downside was we were on a limited time schedule so regretfully we couldn't stay longer, but we will most definitely be back and we're already looking forward to our next visit! Thanks for everything, 1000/10.

There are huge stainless steel VATs. There's lots of boxes and bottles everywhere as well. However, I think the best part is definitely the options for tasting menu as well as options for a full glasses of a variety of siders that they produce both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I had recently had Haykin Family Cider as part of a dinner pairing menu at a local restaurant, so I was pleased to see it on the list. The tasting room is large and nicely decorated. Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. They have multiple options for tastings: flights, tasters, or a glass. All are generous pours at reasonable prices. Their menu lists detailed information about each cider as well as the tasting notes to as the level of how dry or sweet the selection is. Haykin Family Cider makes small batch cider with bubbles that are similar to sparkling wine. We were able to hang out for a bit and laugh and relax. It was a great experience and I would happily return.

The ciders are in a good variety with each one being just as good as the next one while I can't remember each of them I had as I was just soo tired by this point in the adventure I can say I did enjoy each one of them as they all had awesome flavors and were just refreshing! The fried mushrooms we ordered were outstanding they had a Thai chili sauce on them which was super yummy mixed with a perfectly fried shroom that was full of flavor making for some of the best fried mushrooms I've ever had! My burger was just standard while the meat was flavorful the green chili fell short leaving me wishing it had more chili on it but don't get me wrong it was still yummy and a good burger that you really can't go wrong with! Overall chill place to grab some cider who knows if I'll ever get back here again but if so I'll be looking forward to it!

So often it seems like ciders automatically have that original apple cider taste, but Stem goes out of the box! The customizable flights ($12) made it super easy to try the ciders. On this visit, my favorites were the hard mango and hazy apricot! However, I liked all that I tried- salted cucumber, chile guava, and hard peach tea! Most unusual was definitely the salted cucumber! I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was too! My partner and I tried the soft pretzels ($11.95) and the green chile and pepper jack burger ($17.95). Both were great! Pretzels were fresh, tender, and piping hot! Comes with 3 and they paired well with the cider cheese. The burger was incredible tasty caramelized onions, green chile, beef, and cheese- we requested aioli on the side but great flavors and served with perfect crispy fries! This RiNo location was super relaxing with both indoor and patio seating and live music during this particular evening! Service was attentive and friendly!

So much outdoor space that we will definitely make the drive back on a cool, sunny day. We sat at a massive table that could easily seat a party of 10. Maybe they use these as community tables when they're busy. Either way, it was quite spacious! We ordered ciders and the parents ordered one of their flights to taste some of their traditional ciders. I immediately set down the Blueberry Lime. In love. With ciders, is there really ever a bad one? I think not, lol. The food was amazing as well. It looked scrumptious - presentation was fabulous. Cooked to order but we didn't wait too long. We tried their cactus appetizer which reminded me of grilled onions - tasty. Burgers were on the menu for us. And I loved their salad. So very fresh. Stem uses local sources for their fresh ingredients and it really makes all the difference. My partner had the chicken fried cheeseburger and would have liked more flavor. The breading became soft fast and didn't stand a chance with the gravy, making it a soggy mess. My Fuego, on the other hand, was great (GF CRISPY CHICKEN, FUEGO PICKLES, JALAPENO SLAW, HABANERO JACK, SPICY AIOLI). It was huge but packed well. Our servers were great and checked on us often. Definitely bookmarking Stem to return. They've got so many ciders and craft beers on tap, as well as cocktails to offer. And that view!

A friend recommended Acreage, so after a long day in Boulder, hiking and walking around town, we stopped by on a Saturday evening. And honestly, it lived up to the hype and then some. The setting is what really makes this place special. It was busy with what felt like a true local crowd--families, kids, groups of friends--all hanging out. There's a huge outdoor area with picnic table-style seating, plus some indoor space, but the real star is the view. The mountain backdrop is unreal, and the sunset we caught that night was one of those "okay, we could live here" moments. They do take reservations, and I'd highly recommend making one if you're going on a weekend. We loved it so much that we've been back twice since, once while apartment hunting and again after we moved, when we brought family to show them one of the spots that sold us on Denver. For a cider-focused spot, the food seriously overdelivered. The soft pretzels are next level--three per order and perfect for sharing. Everyone gets their own and is happy. The roasted baby carrots were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time. The Jalapeño Caesar with added chicken is really solid, and the winter salad (also with chicken) was a huge portion and great if you want something a bit lighter/greener. The Lafayette cheesesteak sandwich, though, has been the standout for me--top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich and this one absolutely delivered. There are still a few things on the menu I'm looking forward to trying next time. And of course, the cider. I'm not a big beer guy and neither is my girlfriend, so this place is perfect if you're looking for an alternative. I'd definitely recommend doing a flight. They've got a wide range--from fruitier options like blueberry and apricot (crowd favorites) to drier ciders, which I tend to prefer. They also rotate some unique options--recently we tried a salted cucumber cider that was great and quite refreshing. My personal favorite is the Banjo series, which is aged in bourbon barrels. It has a subtle bourbon flavor that makes it super unique and really enjoyable. All in all, Acreage is more than just a cider spot--it's an experience. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the surprisingly great food and drinks, it's become one of our go-to places!
