They didn't charge for the service call and had an estimator, Omar, out here the same day. He laid out all the options and we chose our new HVAC. They scheduled our install for the following week, which is unheard of in this post-pandemic world. Randolph and Bryan showed up on time and were quick in their work. They completed the install and clean up by early afternoon and took measurements for a new custom door to cover the HVAC system. Today Andrey came to install the custom door. He was also quick, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. In fact, everyone involved from start to finish was top notch. The entire process only took three weeks, as compared to five months to replace a broken garage door in 2021 and a year to replace our kitchen in 2022. We already trusted Air Stars because we had them install Mitsubishi ductless units 18 months ago in our granny unit (to replace baseboard and wall heaters and to add A/C). And he researched and found for us the correct replacement for our halogen under-cabinet lights. Now we have bright light where we need it, without the warming-oven effect. But wait! It gets even better! We had put up our Christmas lights and they were working beautifully until a person servicing out home did something stupid that caused the GFCI to trip. Ooooops!! -- no Christmas lights!! One phone call to Mark, and he set us on the right path to find that breaker and reset it. Long story short: They know what they're doing and they do it well. For kitchen sink the basin just needed to be tightened up to granite and sealed and he would include that at no extra charge. Then he proceeded to tell me that to do the simple fix to the bathroom sink replacing the stopper mechanism would be $900!!!!!! If it were my house I'd send him away but it was for my tenants and I didn't want them to wait. He then called me back to say oh and I couldn't fix the kitchen sink because screws were stripped but no reduction in $900 charge. Never use these people. They clearly think it's ok to charge outrageous prices once they are onsite. One and done for me. They obviously don't see the value of repeat business.
