Bear Electric has a great custoimer service approach. We called with an urgent issue, they moved heaven and earth and showed up with 2 people and all the right moves. Problem solved. read more

Bear Electric worked with our contractor (Bill Fletcher of Garden Home Interiors) who helped us redo our kitchen about one year ago (fall 2022). This involved installing a new, larger panel and wiring for lighting of all sorts (canned, pendant, under-cabinet) and the relocated appliances plus a couple return visits for touch-ups. Everyone who came to the house was professional and friendly, and showed up when they were expected to. We are happy customers. read more

Chris Dodd and his apprentice Luis did an outstanding job. We needed a few things done and ended up having outlets installed for two bidets, an outlet added to the pantry, and checked an outlet for the electric range. Chris has done a couple jobs here and has always been professional and is especially good with communication, explaining our options, as well as completing each task quickly. We trust Chris's knowledge and skills. Oh, also everything was cleaned up as he went - hardly a sign he had been here! Thank you Chris and Luis! read more

I was really impressed with Bear Electric. Dakota and Jonathan were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They took some time to explain my weird 70s house and how to find the reset switch on the panel for the two bathrooms. I've already recommended this company to my friend Sarah. I would definitely hire Bear Electric in the future. -Erica, Beaverton OR read more

I hired them to install 2 electric meters. I paid them @2780, only to find out that the job had not been complete. They came back to me to say that PGE said their job was not approved - Bear's Service Manager, Mark, then blamed us, saying that we should have known based on a conversation we had with PGE 2 years prior. We hired Bear to pull permits and work with PGE to get the job done. Mark then suggested we install a solar light to "avoid" PGE and took no further responsibliity for the failed project, saying he put "hours" into it already. Only after filing a complaint with the BBB, did Mark reach out, asking me to reach out to PGE because he wasn't having any luck (he did not acknowledge the complaint). Very unprofessional. We are a small business. read more

I was referred by a family friend. The guys were quick with the install and friendly. They ran electric for a new electric water heater for me and charged a flat rate for the service. read more

Fernando completed all services fast and efficient. He was courteous and professional. I will recommend Bear Electric to all my neighbors. Thanks for such good service. read more

Pro: got an appointment the next day. Fixed the issue within the hour. Con: I Would of gave 5 stars except we were quoted $150/hour on the phone for "local rate" they tried to charge us out of town rate (when finished) and then on top of that extra for him having a 2nd guy with him which we were not told would be happening let alone being charged extra for him to be there to assist when he was not needed (in my opinion) The job was done in 45 minutes but charged $225 for an hour when all said and done. Husband called the office to asked why about paying more than quoted but didn't get any clear answers back. read more

The Bear Electric team is wonderful. We've called them 4 times over the last few years for a range of issues, e.g., new outlet installs, fixing minor issues, etc. They are always responsive, extremely competent, reliable. and provide the best customer service. They also have the greatest % of female electricians and apprentices that I have ever experienced in the trades. Go Bear!!! read more

Mark and his team were great. They put in a charger into my garage and did some other things in my house. Thank you.

We needed repairs to the electric pump for our septic system. Bear Electric has done work for us before and we knew we could depend on them to solve our problem. Fernando came out and diagnosed the problem. He was able to fix our pump connection and repair the alarm system saving us from the expense of excavating the entire electrical line. Fernando took the time and effort in solve our problem professionally and courteously. read more

I called and request an appointment for someone to come out and look at my electrical panel. An electrician got on the phone and walked me through the issue, saving me about $300 in a service call. Really appreciate that type of service and expertise. read more

Had a new ductless heat pump installed today by the Heat Pump Store. Bear Electric was who they chose to run the power from our electric panel to the unit while employees from The Heat Pump Store installed the unit. Mike Kahl was the electrician and he and his assistant did a great job. I will definitely be looking them up for a bid for future work. read more

The review belated by about twenty years. We are returning loyal customers. First, in 2000, the BE's specialist (a lady electrician) installed the connection for the sump pump in the crawlspace -- did an impeccable job, flawless. Fast forward twenty three years later, we called BE to install the kitchen outlet and experienced the same quality, reasonable rates, and timely professional work. Thank you, Angie, Adam and the crew! read more

Thank you so much Bear electric for your outstanding service. Brad and Parker have been our" go to" guys for quite some time. We met them first as a sub contractor to our home build and have been hiring them ever since. This is a great company and we look forward to using them whenever we need an electrician read more

I absolutely recommend Bear Electric! Mark and his team went above and beyond in making sure that all the heating units in my house were working properly before we put it on the market. Even took some old thermostats off the wall that I had forgotten about, making all my rooms look ready for sale. Thank you Mark and Bear Electric! read more

This company again has done a professional and timely job! Thank you to the guys who came out to fix our issue (grounded out, aka melted, wire on our back porch light). Sorry, I don't remember his name (or his apprentice). But I highly recommend this company. This is the 3rd experience we've had with them and I am pleased! Called Monday and they were able to come out Tuesday afternoon. Thank you Kim in Tigard read more

I highly recommend Bear Electric. Scheduling was easy and communication received two thumbs up. A team of two, Evan and Brandon, arrived to work on my AC install and a few other issues (reverse polarity, GFCI, etc). They were courteous, time conscious, and thoughtful. Bear will be returning to help increase our house from 100 to 200 amps and to create a dedicated line for the bathroom, and I will update the review afterwards. read more

Fernando was right on time, and was able to quickly troubleshoot and resolve our issues.

I am so happy with bear electric, they did some work on my rental house for us. it is so nice have such hard working, honest people. they knew what they were doing and worked with haste. I will always use this company and refer them when ever I can. this was the second time using them and both times they were very kind, on time and hard workers. thank you read more

Bear revived my new homes electrical service earlier in 2014, this was a nightmare as the service manager promised it would be a 2 day job, instead it stretched into a 2 week job. They kept sending out different guys who had to start over and tried to figure stuff out. Eventually they did get it done but not with the materials promised. They gave me a cost for replacing outlets with individual GFCI's but when they were completed they just used a few in the service panel, guess that saved them some money off my bid. I've consulted with a second electrician prior to performing the rest of my remodel and they commented that I have one of the 'cheap' boxes, not that it doesn't work or do the job it is intended to do but it is about not anything above service grade. They replaced my service in March, because of a new roof gable I needed the service moved over two feet. I called Bear and was told that Dave was gone, Mark was now in charge. I explained what I needed and they said that they could get guys out there on Wednesday, which was pretty quick. Now all the experience I have with subcontractors is they look at the issue and they give you a quote for what it is going to cost, or at least they call and get approval before moving forward. Nope, not Bear... Apparently they just do work and charge you. It took two electricians 4 hours to move the riser conduit through a different hole in the roof and reconnect the service. I know that it is dangerous work working with live wires and that is why there were two guys there, but come on, disconnecting two wires, drilling a hole moving a riser and gluing in new support wires? two guys, four hours? Trained professionals. I called and talked with Mark just now and explained that I was shocked at the cost and if I would have known what they wanted to charge I would have looked around for other options before scheduling them. He straight up told me that they were too busy and they don't call for authorization. There are too many other numbers in the book that I would ever do business with this business ever again. Just so it is clear what they did... There was a charge for $31,57 worth of materials, a $122.08 electrical permit and $478 in labor. So that is $478 to drill a hole, unhook a few live wires, and install two guidelines, one of which was loose and dangling. read more

They came out took the materials I supplies and independently completed the job correctly and on time. What more could you ask? I will be using them again. read more

We've used Bear for multiple electrical projects. They are very courteous, watching to keep the doors to the stairs closed to protect my young child and dog. They stick to their bid. Also, they've spent extra time in our house hunting down electrical problems or hazards not within the scope of their work! Very appreciative. They found a junction box concealed by plaster in our ceiling and somehow only cut the plaster surrounding the junction box then connected a light and light switch for me. Both times the inspector complemented their work and told us we choose a good company. We will continue to use them for our electrical needs. read more

Bear Electric was a referral from our HVAC company, and I can understand why they like to work with them. We needed a new outlet for a range installation- a new neutral had to be pulled and a 50-amp breaker installed. The electrician arrived on time and was so nice. It was not an easy job- a 50 yr old house with a crawlspace, but he rose to the task. In any case, the job was beautifully done and the range was installed today. I will definitely call them again- we have lots more projects to tackle on this old house. read more

Mark from Bear is always professional and does a great job. He has done work on our. Last two homes. Always very solid work.

I just had my furnace replaced and Bear Electric was called to subcontract the electrical work. Coming from two internationally known companies as an Facility Maintenance Assistant, I was completely impressed with Mike and Spencer from Bear Electric. Professional and very considerate to me (and to each other as I could hear them clearly downstairs :-) ), they were a refreshing pleasure to work with. I will call Bear Electric again for any work I need. read more

We built our home with BC Custom Construction who used Bear Electric as their electrical subcontractor. After a bit of a bumpy start with the quote, Bear Electric did a fabulous job on installation and especially follow-up. They stand behind their work. Brad comes out and answers all my questions. Thank you for your great attitude and service. read more

Had them install an outlet for a newer washer and dryer, everything was going smooth until they accidently went through the ceiling drywall when attempting to run wire. It took a while and little nudging, but they took care of everything including patching, fixing the damaged attic access hatch, painting, and even patched the screws that popped out when fixing the drywall. Due to the incident they knocked off some of the cost of the original electrical work and cleaned up around everywhere they worked. Very professional and highly recommended. read more

I requested a quote from Bear Electric via e-mail. Rob Cokeley responded with a rough estimate and some clarifying questions within an hour. After a few e-mails to clarify details and rough cost - we agreed on a date and time window for a technician to come out. Mike was on time and very professional. He was patient while my wife made up her mind on placement and worked quickly once the decision had been made. The work wasn't easy - he was swimming through an attic full of blown-in insulation and working on a lathe and plaster wall - but he finished earlier than expected and our cost was less than we were quoted. Overall, I would give Bear Electric a 5/5 rating. read more

I can not say enough great things about this company. I was in desperate need of an electrician when some outlets in my condo went out shortly before I wanted to list it for sale. I was in a serious pinch as other electricians flat out turned me down or said they had no openings and could not help me. Bear electric got someone to my house within 2 days of my calling and since I wasn't able to be home at the time of service they worked with me on payment as well!!! I would absolutely use them in the future and recommend them to anyone for any electrical needs! Thanks to the entire Bear Electric Team. read more

I highly recommend Bear Electric. On the phone they are very courteous and listened carefully to problem and my needs. My electrical issues often have a common cause and to make sure I didn't waste money they talked me through a bunch of steps without making me feel dumb. They didn't know that I already tried all of those things myself before calling and when we all decided it was time to send out a professional they did so in a very timely manner. The electrician called before he left and gave me an estimated time of arrival. When he and his apprentice arrived they were both courteous and respectful of our home. He took the time to explain the problem and worked with me to get it fixed immediately. I found them both very friendly and eager to listen and share stories. Before they left they vacuumed up the area and left it tidy. I am definitely going to call Bear Electric the next time I need an electrician. read more

Best electrical company to work with. So friendly, hard working and so accommodating. Highly recommend for large or small projects.

I can't say enough good things about Bear Electric and their crew. Mark, the Service/Dispatch Manager is very professional. He helped me figure out what I needed to get done on my old house with a number of electrical issues. Fernando was the technician that worked on my house. I had so many issues and concerns that needed to be fixed, removed, updated, etc., I thought it would be really expensive or just too big of a job. Fernando handled it like a pro; and as I added things to the list, just kept plugging along. Everything took four separate visits, yes my house was that bad. Fernando kept me in the loop on the work, clarified my requests and made suggestions that were always in my best interest. Highly recommend Bear Electric! read more
