We had the install! New Daikin side discharge AC along with Daikin 2 stage furnace - a complete system installed from the ground up in a day, including tear down of our old units. Everyone in the crew was clean and neat in appearance and arrived right on time. They were coming and going throughout the day and there were a bunch of them, including Tony Lescanec and Jim Thomason, and they were all really great guys (I say "guys" because I saw no women on site). I'm the type that wants to know stuff and I asked a lot of questions. They were always courteous and friendly in answering everything I "needed" to know. After the install, they went over each piece with us, including the new fancy thermostat. The system is fantastic - it's so quiet - and it works great! I can't wait to see how it does during the upcoming HOT summer months. Btw, they left the area rather clean, save for a couple of pointy screws. Great work by the team from Roth Home. Beware of Flat Rate Pricing There's a lot that can be said about the service Roth Home offers, in terms of the timeliness and quality of their work. However, their flat rate pricing resulted in my wife and me paying $790.42 for an hour's worth of actual plumbing work for what turned out to be two simple tasks--removing and installing a new faucet in the kitchen sink and draining our hot water heater. Roth Home's initial price for the faucet repair was $878.24. They also drained the hot water heater while they were here. We did not ask questions about what was involved and how long it would take (our mistake). When we questioned the charges after the work was done, we were given a 10% senior discount. Later they said we weren't charged the usual fee of $336 to drain the hot water heater. According to them, we were "only" charged $790.42 and received a "savings" of $423.82. Our recommendation is to ask questions and proceed with caution. Document what you are told (and by whom) and how long any work takes. read more

Very speedy! Our AC crapped out on us on a Saturday, with a baby, trying to sleep in the crib at night! Plus, we couldn't open the windows because of the air quality from the Forest fires was really terrible. We had to talk to an AI on Saturday but the bot scheduled a technician to come out to our house in Gaston, Oregon. The technician was here within three hours.. The technician's name was Brenden F. and he was extremely nice and speedy and practical. We were worried about parts stores being closed and that would run up the bill, but he had a part for it and replaced it on site. I had a leaking shower diverter in my bathtub. Roth Home came out and quoted $764 dollars to fix it. I'm not that knowledgeable on plumbing he didn't explain to me that it is an easy job only taking no more than 10 minutes to do I just loosening an Allen wrench and slipping the tub sleeve off and replacing it with a new one and tightening up gallon wrench if you had explained to me how easy it was any idiot could've done it and I would not have agreed to the high price he quoted I feel that is deceptive. Rather than fixing the workings inside the toilet bowl tank, they required us to replace the toilets! And then they used all plastic super cheap parts in the tanks. Later we had a high water pressure issue and they were able to fix the broken plastic piece in the tanks... for $450! Roth plumbing provided me with one of the worst experiences in my 36 years as a homeowner. I normally would not write a review, especially a negative one, but I do not want anyone to endure the bad experience I had. My main complaints include the following: 1. I felt I was overcharged for the repair. It was an emergency, a leaking water pipe into the house which was getting worse over time. Thus, getting three quotes from different contractors was not realistic, given what I felt was an impending disaster. I still feel that Roth, through their representative, took advantage of me and my situation. 1. I was nickled and dimed to increase the final bill by over $1,000.00 without an itemized list of those extra charges, despite my asking for one. 3. Lastly, the Roth plumber/representative kept trying to get me to agree to more repairs in spite of my shock at the cost of the main repair and my telling him I could not afford more. Apparently, just about every faucet in my house was deficient, according to him. He was relentless in this and showed no consideration for my obvious distress at the cost of the main repair. There were smaller unprofessional behaviors which I noted but will not mention here. In the end, I just wanted him to leave my house. Roth installed new my heating and air conditioning system last year and I was so pleased with the professionalism and consideration of the whole group involved in that endeavor. Either Roth's standards have slipped considerably or the plumbing division operates with much lower standards. We called Ross Home to look at our hot water heater. Their service person came out and told us it would need to be replaced at a cost of about $3750.00 and it could not be replaced that day. We called Sever Plumbing for a second opinion. They came that same day and replace the unit for $2250.00. The service person from Roth was great but the cost was way too high. In 2023, Roth Plumbing installed a main sewer line cleanout for us. The job required cutting into our concrete driveway and modifying the existing pipe to allow access for future maintenance. Just over a year later--shortly after the warranty expired--the newly poured concrete is already failing. It has begun to sink several inches. I hired another plumber to inspect the work with a camera, and they confirmed the pipe is starting to separate at the cleanout connection. It's extremely disappointing to see such a critical and expensive repair start to fail in less than two years. In 2024 Roth Home had a $99 coupon special for a furnace tuneup which I took advantage of. I have dealt with Roth in the past and their sloppy work but I figured what could go wrong with a furnace tuneup. Well was I mistaken. What this $99 special is all about boils down to commission and the furnace techs trying to sell you a new furnace. In 2024 when Roth Home did the first tuneup the tech said he was getting an error code and he'd be surprised if the furnace would last a couple months. I asked what furnace part was on the brink of failing and the tech couldn't tell me. Because of his vague response and something in my gut I declined getting a new furnace. Fast forward to Sept 2025 same thing I get another email for a $99 dollar tuneup so I called and made an appt. Same thing happened. Different tech saying he is getting an error code and I should replace the furnace. He goes on to give me a ridiculous quote of around $15,000-$17,000 I pass. Fast forward to February 25th 2026 my furnace quit in the evening.. Next day February 26th bright and early I call another HVAC repair company and make an emergency appt. and explain the situation. The technician came out and troubleshooted. The furnace did not need to be replaced. The problem was the condensation pump that failed. For the past 2 years of trying to save on furnace tuneups it cost me almost $600.00 to replace the condensation pump including labor. The problem here is that the last 2 years when I used Roth Home they never flushed out my condensation pump to the extent there was sludge in the PVC pipe and a rusty drain pan because the condensation pump wasn't serviced in the last 2 years which caused the condensation pump to fail. I am lucky that there was no internal damage from the water not draining properly because of the slime build up and the condensation pump water overflowing. The same day on 2/26 I called Roth Home and spoke to a man named Craig and explained about why my pump failed. I have pictures to prove this. While I was on the phone he looked at my service records and said Oh its noted they cleaned the pump in 2024 and 2025. I responded I don't care what the techs say there was so much slime and water pan rusted it wasn't done, Craig says he'll call me back after he talks with the Service Manager. On 2/27/26 Craig calls back doesn't leave a reachable phone number doesn't leave a message so I have to call Roth Home 3 times to get a hold of him. Bottom line is Roth Home refuses to refund my money for the two furnace tuneups telling me cleaning and flushing the condensation pump is not part of the $99 special while yesterday he told me the tech did clean it in 2024 and 2025 and to add insult to injury he said I declined to have the condensation pump replaced. This is a Liability issue. Standard industry practice and your own service agreement for a "tune-up" include clearing condensate lines and ensuring the pump is free of obstructions. By failing to perform this basic task for two consecutive years, your company breached its duty of care, leading directly to the premature failure of the equipment. I formally demand reimbursement for damages resulting from your company's failure to perform contracted maintenance on my HVAC system. For the past two years, I have paid for annual furnace tune-ups (performed in 2024 and Sept. 2025. Despite these professional "tune-ups," your technicians failed to inspect or clean the condensation pump, a standard requirement for HVAC preventive maintenance. UPDATE 3/26/26 Roth Home has been reported to the Attorney General. Standard industry practice and your own service agreement for a "tune-up" include clearing condensate lines and ensuring the pump is free of obstructions. By failing to perform this basic task for two consecutive years, Roth Home breached its duty of care, leading directly to the premature failure of the equipment. On 2/26/26 Craig stated to me in a phone conversation that servicing the compressor unit was not part of the tuneup. On 2/27/26 Craig changed his story saying they did service the compressor unit. The HVAC company I hired to troubleshoot when my furnace stopped working will testify to the fact that this compressor unit failed prematurely because of no maintenance was done yearly on the compressor when I had my last 2 years of tuneups. The sludge had to be cleaned out and the pan was rusted out as a result of water backing up. Pictures have been taken by the HVAC Company I hired proving this. Each year Roth technicians were only focused on selling me a new furnace and central air stating they are having a special. Roth Home is misleading, deceitful and dishonest and I have already filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office. The ratings alone plus my pictures testify to the fact that Roth has a 2.9 rating on Yelp and I am not the only customer that has been a victim of their deceptive practices. read more

On June 25,2025 Richard Brown came to my house and cleaned my furnace drum as it was filthy. He was also asked to check out my yearly AC. He did an outstanding job and communicated with me along the way the process of each task. I swear I could tell a difference in the air in my house, esp since I have allergies. Richard also recommended my ducts be cleaned as there was large clumps of dust bunnies on my furnace filter . I will ask for him every year for my maintenance needs. On June 26, 2025 Jason Escobar and Jacob came to my home and cleaned all ducts and return air duct. I couldn't believe how dirty the return air duct was. Again both did an outstanding job. I can totally tell the difference in the air. Breathing much cleaner air. Might not have to dust as often either which is a plus. I would consider Roths more of a high end company but so far it's been worth every penny (and I am frugal) !! This company hires clean cut, top of the line employees. My one star rating is too high a rating. It cost $112 to have Ted come out and quote me $965.76 to replace 5 smoke detectors. It would cost $124 to order the smoke detectors from Amazon. First Roth homes sent their plumber out on the same day that I called for assistance. Now that a first! Josh and his apprentice came out to my house to fix a leak under my sink. Josh was very thorough and explained to me that the fix was temporary and that I also needed a new faucet So Josh went out purchased me a new faucet and came right back that same day and fixed my leak permanently and replaced my faucet. Josh took the time to explain everything to me He showed me the cost of if I went out and bought the faucet and come back and install the faucet and the cost if he purchased and installed the faucet. Avoid this company at all cost. Dishonesty and predatory practices are woven into their culture! extremely disappointed with the service provided by Roth HVAC Company. Had them out last year due to what we believe was a needed system coolant recharge. We were told then that the system was fine and didn't need to be charged. But it was only blowing about 65 degree air and he said that fine. But I wasn't there as he was dealing with my wife. Charged us $105 and left without any service to us. And we still couldn't cool the house below 68-69 degrees.... Fast forward one year to last Saturday... Their technician, Rick, is incompetent at his job. It took him an unreasonable amount of time to diagnose a possible leak and cracked piece of plastic on a cover. While one of their competitors found all the problems and had a solution in under 20 minutes. To make matters worse, Rick said that a part I needed is not manufactured anymore but he could get one at a cost and would take a few hours for him to replace making it a $1900 repair on top of UV leak detection! Yet the competent honest competitor fixed the leak recharged our system and will be replacing the readily available $67 part on Tuesday all for less than $500. Roth HVAC tech Rick insisted that our entire system needed to be replaced, and their quote of nearly $24,000 was significantly higher than every other quote we received. Nearly double! But There was no need to replace our entire system, and we feel that we were taken advantage of and given a predatory pricing. To add insult to injury, Roth HVAC Company wanted to charged us $1200 for UV dye leak detection, which would have allowed them to find the leak and repair the unit. This is a service that they charged us less than $200 for two years ago on my rental unit about ten miles away. This drastic price increase is unacceptable and leads us to question the integrity and honesty of this technician and the company as he said he "doesn't make prices up from thin air". I am writing a letter to Roth HVAC Company and my credit card company to request a chargeback due to the incompetence of the technician dispatched, misdiagnosis, failure to service, and predatory pricing because you are too incompetent to fix something! Instead you want to try and make big bucks and get someone to replace something that they don't need too and ultimately can be fixed for about $500!
