The inside is on the smaller side but in a cozy sense. Immediately upon entering we were greeted and welcomed. The staff were very friendly and inviting. They recommended items and explained them to us. Parking was easy at the time we went but can get tricky as the day goes on. We were there in the early am so it wasn't packed thankfully. When they delivered the food I was a tad shocked by the presentation. My potatoes, eggs and bacon came delivered on a metal pizza pan with parchment paper. Now it threw me off because I've never seen that and I expected it on a plate. The potatoes had been soaking in grease that didn't appear clean as the potatoes were tiny cut and dark. They also simply tasted of grease. The eggs were scrambled with not much to be desired and the bacon was good. The meal left me underwhelmed and needing to go get an actual meal after we left. Also the utensils were plastic. The experience gave more of food truck vibes than cute little cafe. I had a smoothie which I enjoyed. Although I don't after that I would come back if I did it would only be for a beverage. I was confused because I remember seeing the menu and it mentioned scrum-did-dly-ump-tious so I thought it would be a more southern well seasoned country style and it was more bland fast food style.

Everything was flavorful and filling, the tostada and market hash being the standout menu items for me. The market hash, in particular, was such an unexpectedly delicious dish because it seemed too healthy to be good, but everything worked well together to not make it so drab. There was a good mix of different vegetation too. If I lived nearby, I would most likely opt to get that more often than not. If there was anything I would change, it would be the potatoes. They are soft and seasoned well, but I would prob be more likely to eat them for dinner than brunch. Perhaps that's more of a personal preference though with how I would imagine potatoes during the day and how I like them.

It was quite tasty, but not for me due to the inclusion of walnut bitters. Allergies prevented me from fully enjoying that drink which consisted of bourbon to give it the holiday feel. My second beverage, which doubled as dessert was an eggnog flavored cocktail called Crème de Noel that was absolutely delicious! It consisted of bourbon, cognac, rum and flavored with cinnamon, allspice, fennel and ginger. We started off with the small plates, including crab cakes, and a beet carpaccio. Both were beautiful creations. The crabcakes had good flavor, but were way too small to be considered cakes... more like balls! The beet salad looked amazing, but was off-limits for me due to the inclusion of pistachios. May try during a future visit with the request for nut removal. We ordered one dish to share, and settled on the Halibut Oscar after several consultations with our amazing, knowledgeable server Niko. Niko provided great service and insight on many of the items we requested. He was pleasant and not pushy, allowing us time to peruse the menus and settle on our selections. The halibut was a decent size and accompanied by the thousand layer potato, which resembled a pan fried potato rectangle. All rested on a bed of asparagus. We had requested the sauce which included lump crab meat on the side, and it was the perfect pairing for the halibut! We conversed with the bartender on the way out and learned about the many bar offerings. This is also where I met the artist, Dru Molen, who produced many of the beautiful pieces of art throughout the restaurant. Will return to taste more of the menu selections

I feel bad for judging on such a minor item on their menu because it feels like they threw that on the menu just to appease the masses. It just irks me the wrong way to charge so much for something that is clearly just store bought. Otherwise, I do love this cafe. I will try more items and I definitely do recommend it. Unfortunately, my experience today was completely different. I was served scrambled eggs, and just as I was about to eat a piece, I noticed several short hairs embedded in the eggs. I was extremely disgusted and almost vomited. I immediately called my server, who went to speak with the manager. The manager came over, apologized, and told me that they would remove my meal from the bill. While I appreciate the apology and the gesture, I was much more concerned about how something like this could happen in the kitchen in the first place. I asked the manager to speak with the kitchen staff because this is a serious food-safety and hygiene issue. What made this even more disappointing is that I have trusted this restaurant for years. I used to feel comfortable bringing my family here, and there was a person who always made sure everything was served properly and that customers were taken care of. It also seems that there has been a change in management, as I no longer see the same manager I used to. After today's experience, I no longer feel comfortable eating food prepared in this kitchen. Finding multiple hairs embedded in my food is unacceptable and extremely disturbing. I don't plan to return for at least a year, and unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this restaurant to others. I sincerely hope management takes this incident seriously and addresses the hygiene and food-handling practices in the kitchen. This was a very disappointing and disgusting experience after five years of being a loyal customer.
