The only downside for us was that it was pretty hot inside, almost like the AC wasn't on. It also took a few minutes for someone to come out from the back to help us. When she did come out, she had been on her phone and honestly seemed a little bothered that we interrupted her. Overall, I think the concept is cute and they have a lot of options I'd be interested in trying. There were two employees working--a young man and a young woman--and they were both fantastic. They greeted us with warm smiles, were friendly and engaging throughout our visit, happily answered our questions, offered samples, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Great customer service can make a good experience even better, and they definitely delivered. We ordered the six-pack of cookies and sampled several flavors, including the Confetti Cookie, Chocolate Chip & Chunk, Oatmeal Cream Pie Cookie, and Strawberry Matcha Cookie. Every single one was a hit! The cookies were tasty, fresh, and generously sized. My personal favorite was the Oatmeal Cream Pie Cookie. It was absolutely phenomenal, and I'd go back just to buy a whole box of those. We also tried the soft serve. My friend ordered the Cereal Milk Soft Serve with Cornflake Crunch. She loved it and happily finished every bite. I sampled it, and for me, it tasted a little too much like spoiled milk. That's completely a personal preference, though--not a knock on the quality. If you're into that nostalgic cereal milk flavor, you'll probably enjoy it much more than I did. I also sampled the Pineapple Upside Down Soft Serve, and while it was okay, it didn't wow me to order a full serving. The kids, however, absolutely loved the Shirley Temple Lemonade Fizz, and it was a big hit with them! Overall, Milk Bar made for a fun little snack stop during our day in Williamsburg. The cookies absolutely stole the show, especially that incredible Oatmeal Cream Pie Cookie. The only reason I'm giving Milk Bar 4 stars instead of 5 is because the ice cream selections was very limited, and neither flavor really won me over. I had a few bites but instead of black sesame, it tasted more like thyme. It's definitely a unique dessert, preference is to each their own! I like their cold brew, which is what my friend had.
