Never returned my calls, finally I get a hold of him, and then when we finally made an appointment he no showed me without so much as a call or text. So unprofessional. read more

Val is awesome! Saved me some major headache diagnosing an apartment with a furnace that lost power. Everyone is happy and I just wish I called sooner. Thank you!! read more

Two appts made in afternoon with two no shows and no response for explanation . Very unhappy! Will try a different help resource. Well, I have to amend my first negative review as Val persisted in trying to make amends. He followed up the following day with a new appointment in the morning and completed the job efficiently. He just needs to give customers an update on his appointments if running behind. Very personable and professional in his work habits. Will call him in future for any needed work read more

Val is the best Electrician I've ever worked with. I hired him a few years ago to do electric work in my attic to install a heat pump and also replace a panel. I hired him again recently to upgrade kitchen sockets. Both times I passed inspection without a hitch. Val and his team are professional fast and excellent communicators. He helped me out with a big time crunch. He's a really nice person too. I was super stressed and Val is always calm and reassured me it would all get done. It did! I recommended him to several friends and they all love working with him. Val is the best!!! read more

Val is simply the BEST!!! He's as thoughtful and pleasant as he is skillful. He tracked down a very difficult short in my old house and upgraded breakers that would have lead to more problems. I highly recommend Val. read more

Val and his team at Value Electrical Construction are wonderful! They installed the electrical work for my HVAC system. Additionally they installed some outdoor outlets as well. The work was fantastic and reasonably priced. Val communicates well and is all around a wonderful person. Val was recommended by my HVAC contractors. When I saw his quote my eyes popped straight out of my head but it was too close to install time to call around. Way too expensive for the work performed. I will say that both Val and his technician were unfailingly nice however. read more

Electricians are too expensive? Not Value Electrical! His quote was less that the others I tapped and when the job turned out to be way easier than originally thought, Val Dimitrov knocked off a 1/3rd. He arrived exactly when promised. Soft spoken and efficient. Methodical. An expert. Just what you've hoped for. His contact info is tacked up on my wall for easy reference, next to a flashlight in case the lights are out when I need him! Do yourself a favor. Call VEC. read more

My husband and I purchased a chandelier from a lighting store, and the shop owner recommended Val as an electrician to install it. Val picked up our fixture from the shop and brought it to our house. He was very efficient, professional, and patient, handling unexpected issues along the way with the ease of an expert. After he finished installing our fixture, he noticed our recessed lighting was cool-toned and asked if we liked that. He showed us a switch on the light that changes the color temperature, which we didn't know about. It was so easy, and we changed the settings on the rest of the lights in our living areas that night to a warmer tone, making the ambiance more cozy and inviting. read more

Val and his crew did an excellent job. They were recommended to us by the team that installed our HVAC system. Val and his crew ran 220V out to our backyard and installed a 14-50 plug for our electric car. They were punctual, did high quality work, and did an excellent job communicating. The whole crew wore masks, which made us feel extra safe during COVID. We'll be calling Val again for future electrical work. read more

Val is fantastic! We have an old home with ancient electrical we are looking to upgrade. Val was extremely thorough, patient with explanations, and provided excellent guidance. Val provided a detailed quote and kindly made adjustments and additions to reflect exactly what we wanted. We had to hit pause on our electrical upgrade due to other home issues, but we look forward to working with Val in the coming months. We appreciate his attention to detail, explanations and deep knowledge. read more

Needed help with replacing a 2 prong outlet with a 3 prong outlet and Val was nice enough to come the same day and give me a very reasonable price for calling out an electrician ($120). Very nice guy and appreciated the help. Will definitely be calling him again if I ever need any work done! read more

Val was recommended by our real estate agent. She knows the pros. We needed to install motion detected external lighting in the front and rear of our two unit condo building and it was somewhat complex. He spent a good amount of time assessing our plans and made very smart recommendations. His estimate was accurate and fair. He and his team were very professional, prompt and skilled. A couple of installations took more time than was planned but we were not charged for the extra time. He also provided advice on a couple of interior lighting issues. Have lived in SF for 30+ years and have NEVER found a contractor who was so professional. He is VERY busy and in demand so be patient and it might take a little time for him to respond, but the wait is worth it. Thank you very much Val! read more

Val was great to work with, did a nice clean install of a Tesla wall charger. I won't use anyone else as an electrician. Highly recommend.

We hired Val to upgrade the electrical in our 1917 house, after we noticed singe marks on a few of our outlets. He has been amazing! Every step of the way he has made us feel supported and shown a great attention to detail. Pros 1. He and his team are always on time 2. His work is great and thoughtfully executed 3. He follows up on the work before we need to mention anything 4. He takes time to thoroughly walk through the progress 5. He laid down plastic to protect our floors! 6. He was honest about the work needed 7. He listens and is flexible if something needs to be fixed 8. He can recommend skilled help in other work you may need help with. Cons Nothing so far We would always recommend Val for your electrical needs. read more

We had another electrician come scare us and tell us our house needed to be fully re-wired because it was dangerous. Val came and was honest and told us exactly what we needed to do which saved us tens of thousands of dollars. Val proceeded to install an electric charger, fix some items in our house, and all at the best price quoted to us. He even told us items we did not need to do (such as upgrading total amps) to save money which speaks to his character and integrity. Highly recommend Val and his team if you want fair, honest and timely service. Thank you Val! read more

Val is honest and reliable . Would recommend him to anyone . He called me to let me know he'd be fifteen minutes late . Very courteous .

Contacted Val for some work- which I had a hard time explaining what the problem was- he was very patient and took the time to explain what was wrong, what caused the problem and what the repair involved. He called me to check if he could come early and was 100% professional. I would have to say that he has been the easiest to to work with Electrician that I have dealt with in San Francisco- and we have had to deal with quite a few. We are going to use him for additional work and in house. read more

We got off to a rocky start but it ended up being great. We had called Val last week and asked him to come out to put up a fan and switch a couple switches. He stated he could come Thursday and get it all done but after he didn't show up Thursday morning or at 11 when he said he would be here, we called. He did call us back around 2 and said he had our number down wrong and apologized and said he would be here at 4 30. He did show up around 5 30, so at least he showed but he didn't come to do the work, so I was a little worried, as we had waited for him all day with nothing to show. He stated he would be back Friday morning with one of his guys and they would get it all done. He was supposed to come at 8 but didn't show until 9 but, again, he seemed competent and all of the amazing reviews kept me going. Once he came in, his guy and him were very pleasant and so professional. They asked all of the questions they needed to and didn't do work with out my approval. He gave us a quote that he actually stuck to. I am a bit of a neat freak and they put plastic up everywhere and kept the mess to a small area, no dents or paint scratches... You wouldn't know they were here if they hadn't left cut holes from the wiring (but we knew these were going to be there, since Val let us know about a guy who could come patch for us)... They did minimal amount of cuts and left no mess on the floor or surrounding furniture. I will use these guys for work in the future. Val and his guy (I apologize for not knowing his name) were absolutely sweet and so professional. The work looks solid and I am excited that this was done relatively inexpensively but done well. Thanks, Val! read more

Up one star for actually showing up to our third appointment (albeit an hour late) and up another star for appearing to be a really nice & knowledgable guy when I got to meet him, but down a star again for being a week late (and still waiting) in sending me a quote for the work we discussed and (still) not responding to e-mail. I don't want to be harsh and I really did like his friendly demeanor and willingness to spend time with me going through my project and giving advice on it, but reliability and being able to move forward in a reasonably timely manner is very important too. read more

Came out and did the work promptly. Was recommended by my A/C contractor and it was a great recommendation. Would totally use him again! Val was great. read more

Val (the owner) come over on short notice and installed an exterior light on the 2nd store of our home. Great professional attitude: humble, polite, and thorough. The wiring had been installed by someone else several years earlier. He verified that it was "hot," that the switch worked, and most importantly, that I was satisfied with the installation. And yes, the price was reasonable. Yes I would hire him again! read more

Val was great. Professional, friendly, efficient, and identified the problem with our track light, dimmer and switch in five minutes. Quick turnaround on having him come through same day, and price was fair. Highly recommend! read more

Value Electrical Construction - an electric car plugged into a charging station - Electricians Near Me

Value Electric (Val) is the BEST! If you are looking for an honest, always-there-when-you-need-him, trustworthy, respectful electrician then call Val. Not only have I used him on numerious occassions, friends, family members, and clients have also had the pleasure of working with him. I have been using/referring Val for the past 4+ years and not one person has ever had anything negative to say about him or his team! Being a real estate agent, having the best people on my referral list is expected. I know, without a doubt, that when one of my clients ask me for a electrician referral I can, without hesitation, give them Vals number and know that not only will he make my client happy, but he will make me look good. Val, thank you for being the exception! You make my life much easier. Cheers to many, many, many more referrals. All the best! Gary Snow, Paragon Real Estate Group read more

Value Electrical installed a huge lighting fixture on my 20' ceilings. They had all of the right equipment and brought enough people to get the job done. They were incredibly helpful, polite, and communicative. They were even happy to do a few other jobs around my apartment. They had extremely reasonable prices - much better than other quotes I got. I would absolutely hire them again for a big or small job! read more

I decided to put my fate in the hands of past yelpers and trust that the 5 star rating meant absolute excellence. They were right, Val is fantastic!!! He was prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He installed a new chandelier, 2 circuit breakers, and some other odds and ends. When I got the bill I was shocked by the low price. It was one of those, "did you forget a zero?" moments. I ended up throwing in a tip. Honestly, when was the last time you tipped your electrician because you thought they under-charged you? I would definitely hire Val again and recommend him to all of my friends and family. read more

It's true as other people say! Val is really nice and helpful person! We asked for a free estimate for the light in the kitchen. I expected that he wouldn't do much becuase it was free, but he did a thorough eximination and found it was the light bulb's problem. He could have just told us it wasn't an electrical problem and left us with a question we needed to figure out ourselves. Moreover, because our disposer was broken too and we didn't know the reason, we asked if he could check it too. He agreed and helped us find out it was the machine itself not working, when his parking time had only 1 min left. He helped us to the last minute and risked being fined up to 60 dollars or more, even when he knew the service could gain him nothing more than reputation. If a free service can have such quality, I'm sure the charge services will be as reliable as one can imagine. Thank you Val! read more

Val has been our exclusive "go to guy" for electric (and occasionally plumbing) at my place of employment and he's tops! Knowledgeable, efficient, timely and affordable. Just met with him today on a quote for one of two apt. buildings I manage. Just the nicest guy!!! read more

We recently bought a new chandelier and it was recommended to get a professional electrician to install it so of course I went to Yelp to find a good one and I'm glad I went with Val. He was super friendly and while he showed up a bit later than I had expected, he was very efficient in installing our chandelier along with a dimmer (which he suggested) and it turned out great. I would definitely use Val again and recommend him to anyone looking to get some electrical work done. read more

Val at value electrical construction inc is an honest and trustworthy man to deal with. He gave me the best quote of anyone on yelp and came to fix a couple of electrical problems at our rental unit. He fixed three issues in about an hour and charged us a fair rate. I will be using his services in the future and highly recommend him to anyone . read more

Look no further than Val! I solicited bids from three top Yelp rated electricians. Val was the ONLY one I would even consider for several reasons. First, he returned my call within an hour (one of the other electricians returned my call after ten days and several follow up phone calls later). Second, he came to the bid prepared. He had laser measuring devices, took thorough notes, drew pictures and talked through every detail with me to ensure he understood what I wanted (none of the other electricians did this- they simply eyed everything and took minimal notes). Finally, his bid was $300 cheaper than the nearest competitor. The quality of his work was amazing. He did exactly what I asked, he was extremely efficient and did an excellent job of cleaning up after. We've already got another project lined up for him! On top of all of this, Val and his assistant are two of the nicest guys I've ever met and it felt like having friends over for the day. read more

Val Dimitrov of Value Electrical Construction did a fantastic job with a complex electrical job. I added 2 rooms and a bathroom in a San Francisco home, and it is very difficult to go through the mundane bureaucratic San Francisco city process of electrical permits and approval throughout the process from start to finish, which requires multiple approvals through the entire process. Val was thorough in the work performed by him and his team and from the initial city approvals, opening of the walls and the completion of the project that was approved by the city of San Francisco with all permits. Great Job Val! read more

Val is amazing. Incredibly reasonable rates, personable, CLEAN, efficient and thoughtful! I wouldn't hesitate to hire Val again! read more

I had a power outage at my house which was kind of scary. A cable had melted up against my circuit box and sparks were flying every time we tried to move it. We called Val who was out there in a few hours. He diagnosed that we had uneven power coming from the pole to our house - 200v on one and 40 on the other. He advised us to call PG & E ASAP and tell them the problem. Within a few more hours, PG & E had come and repaired the line. To recap, Val made time in his day, drove to Brisbane, diagnosed the problem, told us how to get it fixed and told us to contact him later about upgrading the electrical panel in our house. He left his card and didn't charge us for the visit. His card is posted on our refrigerator and he will be the first guy I call next time I need or want electrical work done. read more

VAL and his guys are great. I had a total rewire for my house. New box and all new outlet and switches. It difficult to get them back for fixes and inspection. They did a great job and will use them again. If you need a electrician I would recommend them. read more

I had an electrical short in my unit that was affecting my downstairs shower fan and light. Annoying but not life threatening. One electrician stopped by and spent 3 hours trying to find it, couldn't, and ended up charging me $420. Val came over, found the problem, replaced a broken GFCI outlet and was out the door in 40 minutes, for $135. You bet I'll be calling Val again. read more

I needed a ceiling light fixture installed. I went online and requested quotes on ServiceMaster.com. Val called me within 2 minutes with a quote (cheaper than I expected). Competing electricians took days to get back to me. Val agreed to come early to work around my schedule. He installed the fixture perfectly, kept to his quote and even cleaned up after mess that I made trying to do it myself. read more

Val is just great. I am going through remodeling of the condo and had many issues with the contractor...so when I unearthed another issue with my power; i decided to look for help on yelp. Val was quick to respond and able to squeeze in a time slot to look at my issue. He was on time, fast, professional according to my husband (since I have to be at work)...and with my husband's permission, we are giving him a 5 star! - And you should hear what my husband has to say abt the other contractor, so for him to say Val is worth 5 star..you gotta know it's true - Thanks Val ! read more
