Our normal tree trimmer had recently retired, so we received a referral for Valley Tree Service. We needed to get a few of our tall trees in our backyard trimmed, and the way our backyard is setup, it's not easy to get equipment back there. The estimate was very reasonable and Mauricio understood exactly what we needed done. On the day of the job, there seemed to be a scheduling mix-up, and they did not show. While I was worried at first, I called Mauricio and he apologized for the error. He said he would have his crew come out the following day instead - a Saturday, and pretty close to the holidays. They showed up on time and did a fantastic job with the trees. Cleanup was great as well, I don't think any trimmings were left behind. As for the scheduling error - mistakes happen, and Mauricio took responsibility for it and immediately did what he could do make it right, which worked out for us. I appreciate that, and in the end, the works speaks for itself, as we were very pleased with the results. Will happily hire them again in the future. read more

Very unprofessional business and I would not recommend to anyone! We woke up to them cutting our neighbors tree down and it was in our yard and scratched up our vehicle. Then when confronted the worker got very upset and tried to fight my husband. The police were called. Sebastian the supervisor came out and refused to give us his proof of insurance when we requested it. They had a boom lift over our other neighbors vehicle and were cutting trees above it. I liked that Jon had been the one who gave the estimate, and was the one completing the job. They did a great job and cleaned up well too. First off, I would like to recommend Valley Tree Service gets a secretary to answer the phones and make a schedule. I called this morning around 09:30 when I saw Valley Tree Service's truck taking down a tree across the street. I thought: "Well shit, my tree could definitely be trimmed!". When the guy answered, I couldn't really tell if he was talking to me or not... He eventually half-ass'd set up an appointment saying he would show up anywhere from 11AM to 1PM to give me a quote on my tree pruning. I was on-call for work and of course got a call around noon to leave my house. I apologized to my employer and said it would have to be after 1PM. So I waited... and waited... then 1:10PM came around, and I had to leave. Upon arriving home around 4PM, there was one guy still at the job across the street. He told me that I had "Just missed the boss"... Really? 3 hours after the latest time you should have been here? Nah, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

They were the only ones to provide a written estimate and upfront on any problems that might occur during the removal and stumping of the trees. One of the trees was very close to our cement patio so he told me they might not be able to stump the whole thing without damaging the concrete. The crew showed up on time and did a great job. I have had Valley Tree Service for over a year. I have a lot of trees that have had to come down due to a beetle infestation. His workers were polite, (though last year they almost stripped my peach tree of peaches) this year they cut another tree down and instead of cleaning up the small debris they spread it along the fence line and around my rose bushes. I wasn't too happy over that. All in all they are a great bunch and would have them again. A bit pricey but work is good. Watch your fruit trees though! read more

He was honest, and told me it was fine and did not need removal. He suggested trimming the tree next to it to give it more sunlight. His bid was VERY reasonable. I told him I would get back to him. I then asked if he could trim some large branches off of the tree. He did it right on the spot. It took him about 20 minutes. He then loaded the branches into his truck.
