5 Star Review for Valley Tree Care Recently, I called Valley Tree Care to help me with my two citrus trees. My grapefruit tree was struggling with yellowing leaves and no growth. The orange tree looked better, but not optimal. The arborist, Jarrod Masters, came out to take a look. He was professional and very knowledgeable. After diagnosing the trees and writing up a care plan, he answered all my questions concerning my citrus trees and gave me advice about my other trees in my yard as well. All in all, he spent an hour and a half addressing all my concerns. He was extremely kind and polite. Within the week, the trees received nutrients, fungal treatments and deep-watering spikes. The citrus trees are responding well and have never looked better! Everyone, from the field help, Josiah and Sam, to the office staff Stephanie, Valerie, Lance and others, have been extremely kind, patient and very helpful. I've been using Valley Tree Feeders for a year now after my two queen palms started looking pretty bad in the summer of 2020. Nick, the tree care technician, has been great! He's very prompt, knowledgable and courteous. You can tell that he really enjoys his job. After several treatments, my palms are slowly improving. They look much better than my neighbor's, who lost one queen palm completely and two more of their palms don't look like they're long for this world. Having said that, I've now probably spent about as much money attempting to save my existing palms as I would have spent to have them removed and replaced with new ones. However, my current queens are very tall and majestic (prior to last summer), so I'm hoping they'll make a full recovery. It's been a slow process, but they appear to be on their way back. I began using Valley Tree Feeders after last summer's brutal heat killed two of my queen palms and left other pygmy date palms looking bad. They were prompt and called prior to appointment & arrived on time. Very courteous service technicians treatment my remaining queen palms & pygmy palms. I am having the trees treated every three months & just completed my third fertilization & treatment and the trees have improved. Jacob came out this morning for the treatment and also helped me with the water schedule for the upcoming summer months. They take before and after photos of my trees so they can track the progress and adjust any additional treatments that may be needed. I highly recommend using Valley Tree Feeders! read more

When I called & left a message they called on Labor Day, & said they would be out Wed., and would call Tues to give me a time, and then their Tech would call about 1/2 hour ahead on Wed to let me know he was on his way. AND that's just what they did. Same story for Fri visit ! Really nice guys, very professional! They do what they say they'll do!!!!!! Unlike others I've called that promise to come, they don't and you never hear from them again, even when you call back! Another company called me back at end of day while I was at dinner. Max and his crew did an outstanding job trimming the large tree in front of our home. From the very beginning, the company was a pleasure to work with, professional, friendly, and highly communicative throughout the entire process. They took the time to truly understand our needs before getting started, which made a big difference. Max was especially attentive and made sure he clearly understood exactly how we wanted the tree to look. He even came into our backyard to take a look at our citrus tree to make sure our landscaper properly trimmed it. The team worked quickly and efficiently. I should have posted this long ago. All I can give is positive feedback. I have been using Valley Tree Feeders for 13+ years. Everyone I have encountered with there has always been courteous. Let's start with Patrick almost always handling the phones and scheduling the appointments and reminders. Rick, (the owner) calls, follows up and actually services as well. He also is up to date on latest and greatest and most effective products to use. Last but not least all the techs that come out and have been courteous, professional, knowledgeable. Mar 19, 2025 I "Yelp" a business when its bad and I Yelp a business when its good. In this case, I am Yelping VALLEY TREE CARE because they are FANTASTIC! I was impressed from the very beginning when Josiah came out to give me an estimate. He took his time and we figured out exactly which of my many trees would be trimmed and how they would be trimmed.....I have a lot of trees. Today the four workmen showed up. I have never seen such four hard working men. And they were very considerate of my property. My trees look beautiful and they made sure my entire property was devoid of limbs and tree debris. We had Valley Tree Feeders thin and trim a large mesquite tree in the front and multiple Moringa trees in the back. They did a great job with both, the rear trees were trimmed so they didn't overhang the neighbors while artfully trimming the part facing our yard. They look great. The mesquite tree was nicely thinned and lower branches removed. Both the front and rear yards were cleaned up nicely and I'm pleased with the result. Tree trimming is not inexpensive but I felt they provided a really good quality result, well above the usual hack job many landscapers provide, at a reasonable price. read more

I would like to correct my first impression of Valley Tree Feeders. My original review was not favorable and not being computer savvy I can't seem to find it so I could change it. Second best option is to tell you that Patrick was right...it takes time for the Palms to respond to the treatments....which they did and are now much, much healthier. Needed tree removal and stump grinding. I procrastinated, feeling overwhelmed by the whole process. Josiah took the time and effort to explain what needed to be done. With the past two summers we've had our trees were looking sad and stressed. We called Valley Tree Care and Sheldon came out and walked the yard with us. He was very knowledgeable and communicated what needed to be done clearly and in a way that didn't require you to be an arborist to understand. I contacted Tom ( who by the way is extremely humble lol) about my citrus trees. He scheduled and appt and was here on time and when he said he would. he diagnosed my very sick trees ( I have already lost 8). we scheduled a treatment ... I left town for a few days and when I got back the trees seemed greener and perkier !!! we have a few more sessions to go however HIGH hopes are soon to be had!!! quality and value show thru the results!! We had Valley Tree Care come out to give us an estimate on fertilizing, pruning and adding water stakes to 3 of our trees. The entire team was great and followed through on what they said they were going to do. They were also very diligent in cleaning up after they were finished. I contacted this company for an estimate only. Since then, I have received over 25 follow-up calls in a span of 14 weeks, which I found to be excessive. While I understand the need for follow-up, this level of contact felt overwhelming. I would recommend being cautious when sharing personal contact information, especially if you prefer limited communication. A more balanced approach to customer outreach would be appreciated. read more

Requested help with orange tree that was infested with insects. After one treatment, the tree is looking much healthier. Tree expert, Sheldon, is very knowledgeable and answered our questions.
