I'm not sure how often they do this but it did happen to me once. The contract type you have here is month-to-month which I liked because I didn't know how long I wanted the unit. Unlike U-haul storage and some of the other places, ALL of these units are ground floor and drive-up accessible which makes it the easiest to load/unload your items right into or out of your vehicle. It's also open 24/7, 365 which many other places don't have. Staff was always nice. The only weird thing I didn't like was the weird plaster material that the walls on my unit were made out of, they chipped very easily and created a lot of particle dust in my unit. There were some spiders in my unit too, but that's not preventable I feel. If you think you'll get a unit here, ask them to give you the 2nd month free, they did it for me. I would rent a unit from this place again.

She was great-- very helpful and patient. The facility is clean, bright and safe. And the fact that I could have complimentary use of a moving truck sealed the deal. An extra bonus was the ability to drive the moving truck inside the building to unload it-- perfect because it rained on the day of the move. As I'm sure many other storage places do, once you have committed to use their space and you have your items in storage, they raise your rent. However, the real reason I'm giving this facility one star is the poor service. On Saturday I rented a small truck and went to Public Storage to remove my items, a large couch and two living room chairs. I arrive to see a sign on the elevator that says, "Elevator not working. Sorry!" Gosh, the "Sorry!" really doesn't help a lot, given that there was no dolly on the second floor and no ability to move heavy items from the second to the first floor other than the stairs. The person in the office was exceedingly unhelpful. On Monday I wanted to ensure the facility knew that I had moved out and wanted the unit cancelled. There's no human being at either the 314 number to the Barrett Station Road facility or the Public Storage 800 number (both numbers are actually the same, they give you the same menu). Of course, after telling you to go to the app or the web site, you get the option, not to speak with a human being, but to leave a message in case someone deigns to call you back. The office hours are listed on the app as 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. I called at 2:47 pm and left a message with my phone number. I wanted to make certain they received the message, so I called again at 4:29 and left another message. It's now 5:26 pm, close to three hours after I left a message, and I've heard nothing from Public Storage. I've been wracking my brain, but it's difficult to see how their customer service could be any worse.
