It's a mixed review based on observations from myself and spouse. When we pulled up to their "back door" I jumped out to snap a few pictures of the entrance since this was missing from the information. There was a rude woman asking "what are you doing?" and complaining about me posting pictures with her in it... ok understood! Reading other reviews I guess this welcoming approach is normal. We needed 3 window screens made up, not a stock size, and hubby had been here before and was satisfied so came back. They said a few days, but they were ready the next day, which was a pleasant surprise. It wasn't cheap, ($55 per window screen) but I guess that's the price you pay for quick service. So, all in all the service was good, the product was good, but the personal service left a lot to be desired. It might be a good idea to shop around and see what other places offer. read more

They were always personal and efficient .My 9 windows and 2 doors in a up stairs unit were professionally installed in 2 1/2 days while moving the scaffolding and clean up process ! I walked into this business wanting to discuss my screen door problem & find a solution (broken track - how to deal with?? & new door needed). The owner was rude and very condescending, dismissive of my questions. Because at the time I thought I didn't have another option, I sucked it up and continued to be friendly and try to work with him, trying to bring some Aloha into that space. I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but I write this with the hope that people will not patronize such unprofessional behavior. Thankfully, I ended up discovering Hawaiian Door and Window Screens who came to my house, were incredibly professional, knowledgable, friendly & fast (less than 1 hr to repair track AND create beautiful new door). Jim the owner is rude , dismissive and unprofessional! I had an appointment for Monday and repair for Wednesday , he no showed for both . When I called him about it "he was just too busy". When I asked why no phone call and general professional follow up to let me know , he said " now I don't want to work for you for questioning me "! That says it all. I have used VIS several times, the last time was to replace a 44 year old sliding screen door. The woman who answered the phone was polite and made the appointment at my convenience. The gentleman who came out was knowledgeable and friendly. It took a week to make the screen. When it arrived to was beautiful and so easy to open and close. I would highly recommend VIS! read more

We have called Valley Isle Screen twice and spoke to an employee once and the owner the second time. The first call we told the employee we would like to purchase a door and have it installed. He told us Jim the owner would call us. We waited a few days and called the business again. We got hold of Jim, he said he had been waiting for us to call him. We told him we would like to purchase a door and have it installed. Jim had somewhat of a confrontational attitude for some unknown reason. We told him the dimensions of our front door. It had been over a week and no one has come out to look at our house, measure our door or contact us. I emailed Valley Isle Screen again and asked the procedure for ordering a door and having it installed. Jim replied and said " Very simple, call the shop during our business hours M-F 8 to 12 and 1 to 4." I really wish it was that simple. DON"T do business with this man. We took our screen to him to get repaired around the 3rd week of Feb. 2022. He promised us it would be done in a week. A week came and went and he never called so I called him, that was a Tuesday. He then said he was busy doing a big job (what my job goes to the back then?) and would have it done by Friday. Friday came and went and he never called. Finally in March we heard from him. I just got a call from him and he says you need to pick this screen up as I have been staring at it for 2 months now. I told him the true story of how he dropped the ball and we just heard it was ready and would be right up to get it. He then said "you have to pay for it". It's a given that when you have work done you pay for it. he threatened to sell it to someone else and I told him that is our screen and he said, "no we made you a new one, this is ours". I said where is ours, he said he does not know. The guy is legit losing it crazy! He doesn't remember anything obviously, doesn't keep his commitments and is beyond rude and threatening. These people have Zero customer service sense. The lady who answers their phone carries a chip on her shoulder and obviously does not like dealing with customers. If you have a problem with work they do for you all I can say is that we are still waiting to get a call back,, We never should have paid the bill until it was done correct! read more

I called this Valley Isle Screen Company as I wanted to purchase two security/screen doors. The lady that answered the phone said they do most of their work in Kihei. I told her that my job was in West Maui. She said that they didn't do work in West Maui. I asked why and was told that their crew was small and they had plenty of work. I couldn't believe it!....The Island is not that Big. read more

The company was great. The lady on the phone was efficient and scheduled on a timely basis (next day to measure) with delivery and installation on third day. Installed a cat door we purchased. Installation was quick and results were excellent. Maybe they were reorganizing as this company used to be owned by another gentleman. Anyway, they worked well with us! read more
