Wish I could give more stars! John was quick to respond and quick to come out to repair an extraction kitchen fan in the property I manage. He texted to say he could come earlier which made my day much easier. John was respectful, took off his shoes, had researched the brand (which is older and not made anymore) and got to work straight away. He dismantled it so we could clean it and showed me how to do it myself in future. John also recommended a great degreaser, but he scrubbed the filters clean for me with elbow grease. Great guy. After not hearing anything back by the 18th I contacted another company who actually answered the phone and made an appointment for the next day. They arrived as promised. Then today, a week after submitting the request, I get a response asking if I still needed the repair. I highly recommend JAB Handyman Services. I had a Samsung dishwasher that wasn't draining. I contacted John through yelp and he responded immediately. What's even better is that I live in Kapalua and John had no problem coming out to West Maui. Many appliance repair companies are in Kahului or Kihei and they don't come out to Kapalua. More importantly, John was very punctual and efficient. He fixed the problem within an hour and his bill was extremely reasonable. I also have to say that I have not had very good luck in finding good reliable repair people in Maui who actually show up at their scheduled time. Maybe that's why I am impressed with John. He accepted my job on yelp, showed up during his scheduled time and fixed the problem without issue. John is definitely now my go-to appliance guy. read more
