I asked Yelp for a recommendation and Oahu Windows and Doors contacted me very quickly. They said they would send Nick, "our repair guy," out to take a look and give me an estimate on a repair. Nick arrived exactly at the appointed time, took a quick look (and listen) at my door and diagnosed the problem in a minute or two. Then, since the problem was a seal on the door, asked me if I simply wanted him to remove the seal to stop the sound, and gave me the pros and cons of doing so. I said yes and he removed the seal and put things back together. He gave me some tips on what to use to lubricate the door, as well as--if I ever wanted to replace the door--what I should look for and how to save money. During a free on-site assessment, Preston answered all our questions & discussed several options before we decided what we needed. Preston prepared our quote within 24 hours, and the pricing was very fair & reasonable. We needed the door replaced within 4 weeks in preparation for guests, but Preston was able to schedule us within 2 weeks of accepting the quote. Installation day: Preston arrived 10 mins early to set up, and work was handled by Preston, Nick O., and a 3rd worker I didn't get the name of (sorry). All 3 were very professional and friendly. They were also all very patient and nice with our dog who kept barking at them. The doorframe they were working with is nonstandard size and uneven, but they successfully fit a new door without issues and within the schedule. They were self-sufficient and didn't need to ask me many questions or need my help with anything, which made the day really easy for me. The door looks great, fits perfectly, and is super smooth. They are telling us now that the last window will have to wait til May, not to mention some of our windows don't have screens. They are saying the screens will take another month before they can install them. We were told that they have a "Big Job" to finish before finishing up our installation. We had a total of 8 windows that were to be installed. We were told lies of incomplete orders, jobs that took precedence and a very rude receptionist that lacks customer service. If you want quality customer service, this is not that company.

Alex was here every single day. He brought Scott and Anthony with him on different days and I couldn't have been happier with the crew we were given. Every morning we talked about the plan for the day, and what they needed from me. Some days they needed nothing, some days I had decisions to make. The thing I liked the best was I never had to bring anything to Alex's attention. He was on top of everything. Taking a little longer to get a certain window done? Alex told me. A screen needed to be resized and put in, he let me know before I noticed it wasn't there. Or the fact that one of the sliding door screens came in slightly bent. Just enough that you had to be particular about how you closed it all the way.. Alex told ME about the problem. That he already had a new one on order and they would get it handled. I didn't have to find it first a week later and ask to get it replaced. If there was a problem, he already had a solution. And when the typical finishing for the windows wasn't going to work, he took the time to find a solution that came out absolutely stunning. The initial quote and set up process wasn't quite as smooth. I felt like the communication could have been better once we signed the contract. Lack of contact made us a few weeks later in the schedule of getting them installed and that was a bummer. But the actual install couldn't have gone better, and it was meant to be I guess. Window world won't be your cheapest option. But they back their work, they stay until it's finished and the lifetime guarantee on their windows is great peace of mind. I would recommend them a million times over.
