I've had a very good experience with VERI, they sell and install factory direct (so you save money) water softeners and filters. Two people knocked on my door on Friday evening requesting a water sample and offering a $25 gift card in exchange. I provided the water and the next morning a rep was out at my house to go over what was in my water. The rep was very professional and demoed their water softener and water filter to perfection. I decided to go with their products and everything was installed the same day! Final price for everything I purchased and had installed was competitive and fair and I got a lot of freebie soap products! They explained how to use everything, how/when to perform maintenance, and what to do if a leak occurs. Great services all around from all of their reps and techs, they even fill out and submit your warranty cards for you and also offer a Veterans discount! I currently have Valley Environmental Resources service in my home and have had it for four years. My daughter recently bought a house five minutes from me in the same zip code. She saw my system and asked me for a reference. I gave her Valley Environmental Resources. She contacted the office and was given a pitch and an attempt to set up an appointment. She told whomever she spoke to she was still out of state and simply wanted a price on the exact same system I have she was already sold. They said they would get back to her, she still had not gotten a phone call after a month. I placed a call about a month and a half ago and got the same exact pitch. I explained you did not need to sell her she simply needed the price so she can budget it into her move in. I was told you all completely understood the situation and would reach out to her right away. It is now a month and a half later and no one has contacted my daughter or me. These people are completely non responsive and obviously do not value new business or existing customer business. read more

Sales person Mike Parker was awesome and not pushy. We did go through and get the system. Installers showed up at 5-530pm to install the system. It seemed like they were rushing a little. When they installed the system in the garage they didn't put anything down on our newly apoxy floor and got solder on the garage floor under the pipes. When they were installing the RO system in the kitchen, they put something down on our counters that stained them. Someone came out to look at it and said she needed to get with the owners because she wasn't sure what it was and we still haven't heard back about either of hose issues. Have had the system for about 2 months. No issues as of yet. Like all the products thus far. Dishwashing liquid isn't as strong as usual Store bought stuff but still does the job. I can definitely see the difference in cooking and in my hair. It's so much softer now. Yes there's a $150 annual service fee but i think it's worth it when you know your family's drinking and bathing in clean water. Yes there's also the purchasing of the salt for the system but it's about $6/bag at Home Depot. Was not a fan of the salesman, but then again i don't like sales people in general. Ok so we have the system in place for a good 5 months and let me tell you the water is great but don't let these people lie to you when they tell you your payment is only $120. A month make sure you ask how much of that is actually going into your payment cuz I just found out only $40 of that is going into my payment. I will end up paying $10,000. for the system when it's only supposed to be about 5,000. And yes I wrote a nice letter of recommendation because they asked you to they basically force you to write something in order to get the discount offer so don't get suckered into this plan please make sure you ask the payment plan how much is going to go into the actual payment please don't get suckered into this like I did. They do have an amazing sales team that can basically rap you into anything.. ( the rest of this is basically the stuff that they approve that I could write on here) family recently purchased Aqurd Guard water system for our house. At first I was a little on the hesitant side on such a big purchase! But what really just convinced me with the thought of me not having to Lug around 5 gallons jugs from the grocery store anymore. Our family tends to go through a lot of water a month whether it be five gallon jugs or the case of waters not to mention the bags of ice it ends up getting pretty expensive every month, after doing some quick math and adding all the expenses up it pretty much breaks down to the same price you would pay monthly for this unit. Not to mention all the cleaning supplies that comes along with this deal of course you also get shampoo you get soap you get laundry detergent cleaning supplies once you break it down and make sense. This company was so quick and installing their product. I was really surprised to see one night they were doing their presentation the next day they were setting everything up within a matter of hours. The people who installed the unit were super friendly answered every single question I had walked through everything detail by detail make sure that I understood everything before they walked away from the house really made me feel comfortable with this product knowing that I kind of knew everything I needed to know and in case I didn't they're only one phone call away . * All the cleaning supply bottles come with a scan logo on the bottle which means you can scan it with your phone and it tells you exactly how to use it a video pops right up super helpful. I've used the soap and the dishwasher detergent, as for the soap it ladders up really quick and actually has a nice feel to it and it smells pretty decent for being made out of oatmeal. The dish detergent works really well and left no spots on my dishes so I Give It 2 Thumbs Up. As for the rest of the cleaning supplies haven't got around to using them but I have no doubt they work well haven't had an issue with the soap or the dish detergent yet. We have only had this system in our house for about a week and I am already telling you there is such a big difference in our water first thing I noticed was my hair and not only left it smooth and easy to manage but it has a nice shine to it! I didn't believe it when the salesman told me but I'm seeing it for myself. Overall I am actually glad I made this purchase I have recommended it to my friends my family. I had the sales man at my house and he was great. He actually sold me the system and made me want to get it. I enjoyed his visit. Nothing against him. I did have a problem with the price. Im not sure if it was overpriced or what but for me personally it was too much. I had a second thought and canceled my purchase the next morning. According to the contract I had 3 days so I was in the clear. However when I called Tom to make sure I was all clear and good he told me that signing the notice of cancellation wasnt enough. He then told me that someone would have to come out to my home again (taking up my time again) to have me sign some more paperwork. I guess $8000 dollars worth of "free" things had been authorized for me and I needed to release it for another family. I didnt sign anything for any "free" things so I told Tom that and he then explained to me that they also wanted to make sure the rep didnt upset me (he didnt by any means). He also then told me I would never be able to buy the softener again lol. After I told him I did not want anyone to show up to my house and that I already did my part legally he got really shitty with me in a passive aggressive way. Just rude in all honesty. He also insinuated that he was going to have a meeting with my rep and my rep was going to get in trouble for me backing out. I hope this is the last I hear from Tom and I am truly canceled. So in case Tom does try to put blame on my sales rep (i forgot his name sorry) let me make it clear. Originally i canceled due to finances but now im glad to have canceled because of how rude Tom is. I had this system for almost 5 years to the date and after paying 5K to install, plus about 160/ yr for service, and another $8/ mo in salt the tank cracked and they want ANOTHER $600 to 'ship' the replacement tank/ part to me. Yeah, No. I really like the cleaner softer water, but shame on me I should not have taken the bate of their charlatan sales people, and done my research for a cheaper better unit. A lady named Destiny came knocking on our door after we recently moved looking like she was a municipal authority. She said I could help the Phoenix neighborhood by letting her test our water sample and in response we'd get an Amazon gift card. The next day someone would contact me with the sample results and talk about their company. Ah, so she's not with the city. However, it was supposed to be a courtesy water check with a brief overview of their business so we might think of them if we decided to do anything with our water. She handed me a small bottle which I filled and gave back to her. Fast forward a day. Tom calls saying Andrew would be there in an hour. No need to buy anything. "Put your money away," he said. "Just listen to the water report and think of Valley Environmental Resources should you decide you need a water company. Keep the Amazon card as our gift." Andrew shows up saying he's ready to test our water and get to work on our system. He also makes sure my husband is home because he has to do this with both of us here since he has paperwork we need to sign. Hmm. I tell him I already gave a sample and he's supposed to tell me what the report says. He says he needs to call the office to straighten this out. He puts the call on speakerphone and proceeds to tell dispatch he's got an RTL (or some similar acronym) who is confused. I told him I'm not confused and I'm not letting him in to the house. He kept using acronyms and words making it appear I was being hostile. Whoever was on the other end of the phone said, "Yep, that's an RTL, I'll send you a new assignment." Andrew then turned and walked away. Do not give business to this company! I just happened to be surfing the Internet for water system companies the afternoon of Destiny's visit. We just had our water softener installed this month and we LOVE IT! The water coming out of the refrigerator is delicious! and I say "delicious" because I am very picky with the water I drink, for years I had to buy cases and cases of water, what a waste! I have been duped big time.. I wouldnt even give them the one star! I have been paying the price for 5 years.... Back in 2013 I had someone knocking on my door to sell me the best water softener system ever. with Valley Environmental Resources. Everything was fine. up until you need to have maintenance done bi-yearly which turns out to be $200-$300 for the filters and what not. Then a few weeks ago my tank sprung a leak, and now they want to charge me $599 for the Tank. there is no way out of this contract so I either suck it up and just pay the monthly charges for the next 2 years and not use it anymore or get the new tank for the $599 and struggle more... I called both the Company that sold me the product as well as the finance company and they both could not shed any light or be helpful in the situation. Had annual work done for 150 that is recommended to keep warranty and the tech knocked plumbing loose and one of his lines to osmosis was leaking as well. Long story short house flooded and they refused to address damages even after tech showed to see what happened. They was reluctant to do anything till I got my insurance involved with pictures of everything from beginning to end. Their line to osmosis still leaks and I have been trying to contact them for a 3rd visit to fix so I can dry out my house . Finally the owner calls back after we left at least 5 messages from 1030 this morning till after 2 and now I'm waiting to see how much longer it will take to get a tech here. Customer service is rude and repetitive with no logical reasoning to their service ( or lack thereof).... Many ways to charge you but no ways to help you. The system will turn your house water brown throughout all pipes and stain your toilet bowels during the cleaning process. They have told us if we mess with the system (changing filters/adjusting, etc) then our warranty voids. So we paid over $100 for a disconnection service and what was supposed to be removal process, and was told we are responsible for where we take the system and what we do with it. We paid over $100 for them to shut it off!!! We coulda did that! Needless to say, the system is sitting at the house, not being used. If they come to your door offering a "free water test" just ask them what they're selling and how much it will cost. They'll come back the next day with a shady salesperson who will waste two hours of your time, assume control of your home, and then tell you it will be only $6700 for a water softener, all while insulting you, your home, your water, your soap, and using EXTREMELY high pressure sales tactics. We bought our water system about 8 months ago. When the sales rep "Deif" arrived at our house, he showed us how our water could be improved, how it would make cleaning the shower easier and the bonus was the 5 years of cleaning supplies. We were impressed and bought the RO system. He scheduled a team to come install the system, arranged financing and promised to come back in one month to see how the system was working and if we had any problems or concerns. Deif stated since our home is only 6 years old, the build up from the untreated water should be gone in no time. Once we signed on the dotted line and the installation complete, we never heard another word from them. Except for a form letter we were sent requesting we copy it and post it as our glowing review. That's not going to happen. One month after our system was installed, we had a leak. We called Valley Environmental Resources, they laugh and told us to call a plumber. Evidently, once the system is installed all problems with that system are the owner's problems. We demand they send out a service tech, the service tech arrived, spent 3 minutes accessing the leak and told us to call a plumber. My husband ended up fixing the leak himself. Next are the 5 years of cleaning supplies: laundry detergent, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, shampoo, all purpose cleaner, etc. These products combined with the RO system are supposed to make laundry cleaner, glass shower easier to clean, skin softer, hair shinier, etc. Plus the money we were suppose to save is literally going down the drain with the excess water the RO system uses to regenerate and the bags of salt you must purchase to make the system work. What totally bogus claims. We have to use twice the amount of laundry detergent to clean the clothes, double the dishwasher soap, the all purpose cleaner was three times the amount and still have to use a scrub brush to clean the shower. We called Valley Environmental Resources to find out the reason we needed to use double the amount. The sales rep stated that if the cleaning supplies are left in a hot garage or storage, it could cause them to not work as advertised. We storage them in the hall closet and our home is thermostat controlled at 80 degrees. We thought the cleaning supplies might have lost their effectiveness while storied in their warehouse. We asked if we could have replacement cleaning supplies to see if that made all the difference. No can do. My husband takes blood pressure medication and with the salt in the drinking water his blood pressure has gone up creating a health issue for him. I have experienced water retention in my hands. In conclusion, if you want to work with a company, that provides a great presentation with absolutely no customer service to back up the claims and promises of the sales reps, then this is your company. If you expect great customer service for the huge amount of money you are spending on a RO system, keep looking. This company is all talk, no action. read more

When it comes to bad reviews, you really have to go out of your way to make me take time out of my schedule to write one, but I figured I would be doing other folks wondering about this company a favor. One man initially knocked on my door to say he was going to test the water and get results delivered, and for my time give me a $25 gift card to a few places. Scheduled a time to come back and everything. I figured they were selling something but wouldn't quite be the experience it turned out to be. They then called me to make sure me (and my wife) were home to get the results and gift card dropped off. Absolutely no mention of a sales guy coming to pitch us for an hour. Sales guy (Parker) arrives with a briefcase of test items and immediately sits down at my kitchen table. He saw that my wife was doing laundry and said, "I'll just wait here until she is done". I told him you can talk to me, that's fine. Right after this our youngest (1-year old) starts crying as it's around the time he gets up. As my wife goes to attend to him, this guy has the nerve to say, "well get it and come back". When we both look at each other in shock and tell me one of us is enough, he goes into this tirade of, "well I can leave, if you guys aren't interested I can just go now, etc" The absolute worst first impression I've encountered in my 30+ years on earth. Because my wife and I were recently talking about getting something done anyway, I held my tongue and asked about the product. He continued to try and argue about my wife being there because she does the laundry and is part of the budget, etc. I had to let this challenged person know that I am more than capable of having a one on one conversation with him. When he persisted I said either show this to me or this is it. So he does all of these different tests, which were honestly impressive over the course of about 30 minutes. At the end of it he talked prices, etc. So he tells me I'm going to get the gift card and I'll be back while you and your wife talk about it. We decide we need to think about it and guess what? No gift card. I didn't even ask for it. When I tell him we need longer to think about it, he starts packing up his stuff pissed off saying, "In all my years I've done this demonstration only twice (obvious lie) and I wasted an hour here". I told him I am in sales also and this isn't how you do business with potential customers. He then asks, "well does your wife want it, It's a yes or a no, not a think about it, etc". I told him over and over again we will think about it. When he realized I wasn't going to buy then and there he says, "scarp all of the money plans we talked about, it's just going to be 7K" in a pissed off way. Last thing he says was, "I was trying to help you". Let me just say that Parker's entire demeanor, insults, sales tactics, and way of doing business completely destroyed any chances of me ever wanting to work with this shady company. Got the RO system for the entire house. It was a fast presentation given by Gary Yee so I was glad my husband had researched it prior otherwise it would have been further over my head. System filters out everything including prescription drugs that get flushed into our water. The water tastes great (like nothing) and leaves my skin soft. My hair has brightened since having it also. It's expensive but it can be used as a major home purchase during tax season so keep that in mind. It also moves with you. Definitely worth every penny. read more

I've had my Ro system since 2012/2013 ish and I love the system. It's pricey when you add in the annual filter cost of about $200 and salt purchases. What they failed to mention is you'll have to replace the drinking water tank after about 5 plus years at $400. That's not why I'm writing nor the reason for the one-star review. My issues are with the techs not showing when scheduled. This happened twice within a 7 day period. The first appt was on 12/02/2021 at 8 am. I looked up at it was 5 'til 9 am and no tech. I checked my cameras and he showed at 8:53 am but didn't call, ring the doorbell, or knock. He sat there looking at his phone, then walked off. Called and rescheduled and asked for different tech. They scheduled me for 12/07/2021 at 7 am. It is now 10:58 am, still no tech. I got a confirmation email for the first appt. No email confirmation for the current appt. This is not good customer service at all. I've since called 5 times. and left one voice message. I've sent an email 3 times. One with the video of their tech. This is beyond crazy.. read more

The home that I purchased had the water softener which has Valley Environmental's logo and phone number. I called to have the softener serviced. A nice man came out to my home charged me $150.00 to replace the filters on my R/O system and then looked at the softener system. Said I would have to have them take the tube out to the shop and have them re bead the cylinder which would cost about $350.00. Today I have black water coming out the faucets and in my toilets. I look online a plumbing company says first try to back wash, then it may need cleaning. Valley Environmental never ever suggested or tried to back wash. It really amazes me how amazingly fast this company is. Brian came in to discuss our water and gave us a demonstration. He was friendly, funny, and very professional. We were completely baffled that our fridge water was worse than our tap water (we change the filter frequently.) There was no question about the system's purchase. Our 6 year old son who is not a water drinker, chugged an entire glass right away. My hair and skin has never been softer. I even rewashed all of my laundry! My husband is excited to wash his motorcycle and his truck now that he wont have to worry about the hard water spots! I am 32 years old and never thought I would be excited for water. My husband and I had our water system installed in August 2016. Bob from Valley Environmental Resources was the sales representative that sold us our system. He was very knowledgeable of the system and was willing to answer any questions and/or concerns that we had as customers. The system was installed the next day and has been working wonderfully since then! There was a water issue of crypto in our town water and our friends in the area were affected by it. Luckily, this system was able to block the bacteria and our water was not affected! I went for 4 stars instead of 5 because the sales pitch although informative is much more lengthy than I had time for. Take all of this with a grain of salt. My household has only 2 people, and we are both very conservative. (We have never used a palm-full of shampoo or soap, we don't use more water than necessary such as turning the sink off while brushing teeth and installing low flow shower heads and toilets, we don't use harsh chemicals unless actually needed, we wipe down the sinks and showers after use so we don't get the calcium build-up anyways, we buy items in bulk.) All of these lifestyle factors make it hard for us to see any big benefit this early. Below are more detailed descriptions of likes and dislikes. The team was very prompt, clean and courteous. They showed up when they said they would, did a superb job with installation, and cleaned up afterwards. I would give their name to someone looking for a water softener. However, we have not seen all the benefits and cost savings we were advertised. We haven't noticed any regular cost savings in products yet (was already stocked up and they gave us enough for a family of 4 for at least a year - which will probably last us 5 years [which does save us money obviously, however I can't say "this system saves us $X annually"]). The other non-noticed advertised improvement is we have just as much (maybe more) lint in our dryer as we did before we installed the softener. We had our system installed in August 2016 and have yet to add salt to the system. Which is good (maybe)...but it makes me wonder if our water wasn't as bad/hard/chemically-filled as we were told. In hindsight, we should have saved some money and not installed the reverse osmosis fountain. We just don't use it, and it takes up half of our under-sink-storage. I have to admit that I love my water now, and my dishwasher works again! But I also have to say I have had my issues with the people that work at Valley Environmental. My salesperson, Parker, was unique to say the least but convincing when he showed me how dirty my water was so I bought the system. And I will say again that I am very happy with the system itself. I will also say that the woman who answers the phone and the owner (I wish I could remember their names right now) have been the nicest, most professional people there. The other people are argumentative and rude and if I hadn't already bought the system I wouldn't have simply due to the poor quality of people that work directly with customers. My directions were to give them a 5-star rating but I can't in good conscience do that because of the poor quality of customer care. They were quick and to the point, explained everything and showed us just how much hard water was effecting us. the install was the next day and only took about 2 hours! It has been a little over a month since they installed our water softener and it has made a world of difference. We arent scrubbing things for 30 minutes to get them clean any more, my dishes dont have the white residue left on them, i have already saved about 50.00 this month on not having to buy soap or water jugs, and my sons skin isnt dry and itchy any more so no more expensive lotions for him! Product is ok. Don't see or feel the benefits that were promised. Could have spent a lot less for the same quality product.

First of all i wasn't interested in getting a water treatment system at the beginning. The system was to expensive and i was fine buying bottle water every 2 weeks. I listen to the sales pitch and i was still wasn't interested until i saw the water particles in the water and how high the ph was. My water pipes were probably in danger. Well to the point of this review,I got a water treatment system and I'm glad i did. Just like everything else theirs pros and cons. Pros: softer skin, cleaner and softer clothes, no more bottle water, better ph for the pipes, good drinking water. Cons: pricey system, adding salt every month, and cleaning the salt tank every now and then. VER came and installed our system about 6 months ago and they did a good job. The installers were professional and left their work area clean. the installers were very knowledgeable of the system. They showed me the basics of the system and how to maintain the system.
