I had an appointment set up with Valley Drilling to pump out a septic tank. They did not show for the appointment. The phone number for the business is no longer in service. Looks like they closed up shop and left their customers hanging. read more

Not sure what to say. Oh well, here goes; Tank installed November 2022. But unfortunately , we had some follow up issues. Sorry. They were never addressed. So one day I see water coming out of my drive way so I call a plumber and he realizes that I have a problem with my septic system and tells me to find a specialist. So I call my home warranty Co, they send a plumber that gives me a scary high price and describes the problem as a non functioning seepage pit, basically the 30 feet pit is not percolating( soil is not absorbing into the water), so it's getting full and water is coming out. I called 4 contractors Tim at Valley Drilling was the only one that didn't give me any shit(joke inserted) about getting a permit and didn't charge me extra for minor extra work. Tim sent his worker including Angel( 15+ year experience guy who worked like he was 25) and Steve the new guy. Both of them stayed till the very end. He also send 2 drillers that have been doing this work since they were kids with their dad. I think at the end I had about 50 years of experience dealing with my shitty problem. I even had the county inspector pop up and give his blessing. At the end Tim was solid on his price I was very happy they worked with my cement guy on getting every ready for a new drive way. Here is what unfolded recently ... My vacation home is a 150 miles away from my main home and I am hardly ever there. So I had to trust Ben completely when he said that he had replaced the well pump motor and that the well was now in good working order. Ben was not happy when I asked if it was okay to pay him in several days giving me time to verify the wells status. His previous temporary fix a week earlier didn't work at all, so I was a bit reluctant to pay this time without checking it out. Despite my hesitancy, he demanded that I pay him immediately via a credit card. So I paid in full based on what I believed was his honorable reputation. The well did work for a couple of watering cycles, but 2-3 weeks later it failed once again. Ben went out to investigate and stated that it was a minor issue and that he would fix it in couple weeks. About 2.5 weeks later, with temps close to 100 degrees and a lot of dying plants, I called Ashley his assistant to convey some urgency. She assured me that he would be out in a few days to make the repairs. Needless to say, he never showed up, nor were any of my increasingly desperate calls to his office ever returned.

Here are things to watch out for with Pride Plumbing of Redlands and Palm Desert: 1) bait and switch service scope and pricing; 2) sloppy and legally-insufficient estimates; 3) inexperienced plumbers with very poor communication and interpersonal skills; 4) promised and broken arrival times; 5) inability to work cooperatively with other tradesmen (by their own admission); 6) customer blaming for their miscommunication; 7) unfamiliarity with high-end, European-made gas appliances (by their own admission); 8) leaving metal debris behind for the customer to dispose of; 9) not providing customers timely copies of their estimates; and 10) not providing customers copies of paid receipts for work. If you have a mid-mod in Palm Springs or a kitchen renovation with high-end European appliances, I do not recommend Pride based on my experience. They'll arrive late, argue with you, overcharge you, waste your time, and then not give you a receipt.

Discussed potential future fixes for current minor concerns and for now, found a plastic piece in the pipes that could be what's been causing our ongoing issue. Also, just over time, these pipes got greasy from grease that can get down the sink from even just cleaning dirty plates. Our 1st and quickest option was a jet flow process. We did this and it did clean out the pipes and got that plastic piece out. We are continuing to monitor our situation and discussing future needs for the pipes anyways but per usual, Always Ready Plumbing and Drain was amazing. They arrived quickly, always super friendly, professional and efficient, and the pricing was still fair for what was needed this time as well. I continue to not be able to rave enough about them! Valley Drilling just finished putting in a brand-new multi-stage ATU septic system at the house and honestly, I didn't even know backyard alchemy like this existed. Our old tank was basically a 1970s science experiment that had started failing in the most dramatic way possible. Called Valley, they came out the next day, walked the property like engineers instead of salesmen, and laid out exactly why we needed the advanced treatment unit. Two weeks later their crew showed up with the kind of equipment that makes you glad you're not paying the diesel bill. Three days start-to-finish. They trenched, dropped the massive multi-chamber tank, wired the blower and controls, ran the polished effluent lines to a drip field that disappears into the landscaping so well my wife thought they forgot part of the job. System runs quieter than the pool pump, the lawn is already growing back, and the alarm panel in the garage looks like it belongs on a spaceship. Water table's high here; every other company told me it "might not work." Valley just made it work, perfectly. Already sent their card to everyone in the neighborhood group chat. Five stars, zero septic anxiety for the first time in fifteen years. read more
