The Good: I like this location because its not a crowded as…read morethe one in Phoenix. It is also a lot cleaner. I am in and out for each appointment. I enjoy the peacefulness of an under-crowded Veterans Hospital. How can I forget to mention the parking situation. Well lets just say you don't have to drive around the entire parking lot a few times for a spot. Just arrive and park! The Bad: I was recently here and the lab LOST my sample. Needless to say I had to return to redo it. Also if your drawing blood I would recommend having the nurse do it verses a trainee. On 3 different occasions I have had to redo blood draws due to missing a vein... Ouch! and .....seriously

I wish I had better to say about the quality of care here…read more The good... Almost everyone here, desk clerks, support staff, medical assistants are excellent. Lab is super efficient and friendly. So, what is the problem? For the third time in 3 years I have to see a different primary care person. Over the years they have been all over the place. Exceptional, great, terrible, mediocre, and now, this year, useless. Not a Doctor, not a PA, a Nursing practitioner. This person seemed completely uncaring, and yet socially woke! No sense of humor, no human connection. Just filling an empty chair! I feel like I wasted my time getting my annual checkup from a drone. Dont Veterans deserve a Doctor as their primary health person?

7am appointment and they insisted I get there early, including texts at 5:30am to get there early!…read moreSo I arrive at 6:30am only to sit outside until 7am when they open. The office staff did not greet me, did not say good-morning, did not even acknowledge the fact that I've been standing outside. And they charged me more than what was quoted. Dead cockroach in the waiting room. 1 star is being generous.

While in the waiting room, I was told I couldn't be seen for my CT until they can figure out what happened... which took an additional 5 days from original appointment date. CT itself was quick and pictures were uploaded to my portal the next day. However!! It has now been 4 days since my scan (and now the end of week) and a radiologist has not read my CT/sent off to my referring doctor. I called SimonMed today and was told my call cannot be redirected from their call center to the actual location which is frustrating because 9 out of 10 times call centers are absolutely NO help. Also was told I should expect results to be read in 7-10 business days... l There is no sense of urgency at this business and for someone who needs to get the process moving faster to schedule a much needed surgery... this is NOT a place I can recommend to anyone.

I had two procedures done in January. i had to pay over $600 out of pocket at the time of the…read moreprocedure. I had asked the desk clerk for a printout of the breakdown of charges for each procedure, my portion vs the insurance. He told me they couldn't do that and handed me a post it note with my portion of the two procedures, so two numbers, but no breakdown of the insurance portion or total procedure cost. When I got the insurance bill I realized they had overcharged me by almost double. I called to get a refund and was told 2-3 weeks. I Waited 4 weeks and called again. I was then told my refund had been issued that same day. Waited another 4 weeks and called back only to be told again that my refund was issued the day I was calling. Asked to speak to a supervisor who was no help. He couldn't explain why I had to call 3x and was told each time I'd have a refund in 2-3 weeks, nor was he able to guarantee this refund would be in my hands in 2-3 weeks, only that it should be. Here we are almost in May and they still owe me $315. Not sure why I they can't estimate closer than that in the first place as they had all my insurance info well in advance. It also should not take 4 months and at least 3 calls to get my refund. Horrible cust experience from the billing side. The only reason I gave them two stars instead of 1 is that the two people who performed my actual procedures were great. I do not recommend this business.

The experience on the day was awesome, it was the colonoscopy I got while not sedated afterwards…read morethat was the problem. I checked with both my doctor and Premier, beforehand, to be sure that they accepted my insurance, BCBS of AZ. However, I just got a letter from BCBS of AZ that they are only paying $63 of the $1463 that the anesthesiologist charged. I haven't gotten the bill from the anesthesiologist yet. Even if it is lower than what they charged the insurance company, a screening colonoscopy is protected by the ACA. It is supposed to be completely covered as preventative medicine. Section 2713 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act eliminates consumer cost sharing for screening colonoscopies. This is because out of pocket costs are a deterrent for such an important screening test. (And in my opinion especially when combine with the yuck factor of this particular procedure.) There are so many things wrong with this: #1) $1430?! # 2) why the hell did neither my dr nor the facility warn me? #3) why is the facility allowing this to go on, BCBS is a very big carrier #4) why would my doctor use a place so unethical Premier, my doctor, and the anesthesiologist are all to blame here. Totally unethical. Makes you wonder what else goes on. I Googled this and found out it is a common thing happening to unsuspecting patients.
