https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPLANdy61/…read more I find it absolutely unacceptable that a Catholic school would bring students to Planned Parenthood to confront and harass people seeking medical care. Imagine going in for something as routine as a Pap smear or a regular women's health checkup at a free clinic, only to be met with rude teachers and students putting crosses in your face while you're simply trying to take care of your health. People come to Planned Parenthood for a variety of medical needs, including routine preventive care. No one should have to feel intimidated, shamed, or harassed for seeking basic healthcare. Whatever your personal or religious beliefs may be, treating patients this way is disrespectful and completely unnecessary. It is especially concerning to see adults modeling this kind of behavior for children. Teaching students about faith should never mean teaching them to disrespect, intimidate, or humiliate people who are simply trying to access medical services.

On Monday at approximately 10 a.m., I observed a group I understood to be affiliated with St…read more Joseph Academy in San Marcos standing outside Planned Parenthood during school hours. I found it horrifying to see children involved in religious advocacy outside a healthcare facility. Planned Parenthood provides far more than abortion care. Its 2024-2025 annual report lists approximately 5.5 million STI testing and treatment services, 2.27 million contraceptive services, and 389,449 cancer screening and prevention services nationwide. People entering that clinic deserve privacy and dignity, whatever care they are seeking. To me, involving young children in this activity during the school day feels like indoctrination and raises serious questions about educational priorities. Were students free to decline? Were parents fully informed? What I witnessed left me deeply disturbed and with serious concerns about the school's judgment.

For the last five years, we have opted to send our children to a private school. Each year we re-evaluate our options. At the end of last school year, I visited San Elijo to see again about sending our children here. I'll say that I was highly impressed with everyone from the front desk person to the principal who took time out of her day to introduce herself to us and answer any questions we had. I can see why families seem to be happy at this school.

Courageously, he named the two children whom he said beat him and pushed him to down (during which he hit his head), he named an adult that was on duty whom my son claimed told the two children to stop and not to harm him any more, and he told his teacher, AND our son provided a consistent account of the assault to my husband and I, his primary doctor, and the concussion specialist. We'd already informed the school when our son sustained minor injuries in a restroom while children tried to bust in on him in a restroom talk to see his (to keep it PC) " brown genitals. He was teased because of his hair, his skin color, and more. We provided this information to the administration too. Nothing substantial was done. So when it escalated to this, it should have been simple to resolve and we should have received support for our son instead of being treated as if our son was the aggressor. The other two children who were named as those who hurt our son weren't harmed or in any danger at any time. Asking them "did they do it" as if kids don't lie wasn't even an uttered thought when it came to them, yet OUR SON was questioned and indirectly invalidated by the alleged notion that there was no footage of the matter--not to mention the alerting of child protective services after we let the school know that he'd had a concussion --that report was not filed when we first mentioned the incident to the school despite his bruises and our complaints! Yet, somehow school admin. claimed the only video footage they only saw of him that day was him coming into the office (after being prompted to wait there during pickup when his teacher "randomly" left earlier than usual that day). . . Still, no one seemed to notice the bruises on his face (black eyes) and the bumps and burn-like bruises on the back of his close-shaven head (it was hot that day). I am a graduate of this district from the 90's so my evaluation of the district, its history, and demographics are accurate and well-informed. Nobody knows anything, allegedly as they claim. The entire matter is dangerous and disheartening! All in all, the entire matter seems skin-color related (as we are all of the HUMAN RACE, right) retaliation given the admin. had been informed of what happened to our oldest and dared to allow similar treatment to our Kinder son in this way without extending true care and concern in our favor as the injured party. Out of 4 children, the only child I have that hasn't been assaulted in this district is my pre-K son who doesn't attend school in the district. I have material evidence to prove all claims made here, so I accept nothing but an apology for their potential negligence and I will continue to tell our story until our son receives the Justice and equal care he earned!

Excellent teachers, organized drop off/pickup, frequent and in depth communication and lots and lots of warmth! My daughter started kindergarten this year (their first year as a full time school in San Marcos) and she is just thriving. We have had so much positivity, joy and support surrounding this schooling experience. On a personal note, I've worked in the field of Learning Disabilities and Dyslexia for the past 12 years. I have seen so many amazing individuals feel ostracized by the typical classroom environment. My biggest fear in enrolling my daughter in school was that it would hamper her joy of learning. Instead, it has had the opposite effect. I feel this is due to intentional practices that Baypoint has in place, as well as genuine warmth and welcome from the educators. They understand that each child is an individual, welcome parent communication and (at least in our home) have amplified my daughter's joy of learning. I feel extremely grateful to be part of the BPA-SD community. I have looked at many other charters and private schools, but feel like this couldn't have worked out better. I highly recommend checking it out to see if it's a good fit for your child and family.

As usual the vice principal read me the standard " we have taken this incident script". I take my son to school everyday and the behavior of most of the at the before recess is atrocious. I did volunteered for a times but his 2nd class could barely read at a 1st grade level and it was frustrating for me as I was just wasting time. The playground supervisor can barely control those undisciplined students. This school will set your child back immensely if they can read at grade level they will be forced to wait for the students who cannot. I have gotten a report that the same boy has continued his bullying agenda.

The negative review by one parent where he felt he was wasting time volunteering was funny, because if there were a lot of low readers than it would be very valuable to volunteer for. Don't let one negative comment fool you! There are tours offered to parents to find out about the program and to see for themselves.
