What a gem! LOVE LOVE LOVE this school!…read morePriced right! Wonderful staff- It is like going home everyday when I drop off and pickup. So blessed and thankful to have found this gem- feels like a step back in time when pace of life was slower and things meant more.

Sending our kids to Valley Christian School when they entered Middle School was one of the best…read moredecisions we've ever made as Parents. The only regret we have is not starting them there in Kindergarten. At Valley, our kids weren't just taught, they were Seen, Known, and Cared for. They were held accountable not only in their Academics, but in their Behavior and Values. The school helped shape them into kind, grounded young people who know who they are and what they stand for. What my Kids learned at Valley not only prepared them for high school, but also set their foundation as they grow into young adults. Our daughter, now a junior in high school, has carried the discipline and strong foundation she gained at VCS and continues to earn straight A's. She still stays close with the school, like I've noticed many former students do. That tells me a lot. Our Son, who graduated last week, came in as a quiet, average student who didn't have much confidence. Today, he's a straight A student and athlete. The basketball games are a lot of fun and I will miss them!! Most importantly, he's developed a very strong core value set and is confident, motivated, and ready for high school. As a parent, I could not ask for anything more. Mrs. Palm, the principal, is truly one of the most God-honoring women we've ever met. Her love for the students is real, and you can feel it in the way she leads...with strength, grace, and Deep Faith. She's not just a Principal; she's a Mom who treats the kids at her School like one of her own. The Teachers and Faculty have also been a tremendous blessing to our family. There's no way to fully describe the love and guidance our kids have received at Valley Christian. It's not something you see every day. VCS is much more than a school, it's a Family. We made an investment when we chose VCS, but God has returned it tenfold. He used this school to bless our family in ways we never expected and ways that exceed any monetary value. Thank you VCS, we are so grateful. Five stars ***** without question. Go Lions!

I found Baypoint Prep shortly before the school year and wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I…read morecouldn't be more impressed. Excellent teachers, organized drop off/pickup, frequent and in depth communication and lots and lots of warmth! My daughter started kindergarten this year (their first year as a full time school in San Marcos) and she is just thriving. We have had so much positivity, joy and support surrounding this schooling experience. On a personal note, I've worked in the field of Learning Disabilities and Dyslexia for the past 12 years. I have seen so many amazing individuals feel ostracized by the typical classroom environment. My biggest fear in enrolling my daughter in school was that it would hamper her joy of learning. Instead, it has had the opposite effect. I feel this is due to intentional practices that Baypoint has in place, as well as genuine warmth and welcome from the educators. They understand that each child is an individual, welcome parent communication and (at least in our home) have amplified my daughter's joy of learning. I feel extremely grateful to be part of the BPA-SD community. I have looked at many other charters and private schools, but feel like this couldn't have worked out better. I highly recommend checking it out to see if it's a good fit for your child and family.

You could improve by caring more about education instead of dress codes and grades. Students get…read moredetention for the smallest things, and it can go on their records. If this is really a college prep school, the main focus should be helping students learn and prepare for college, not just punishing them for little mistakes. They do not care or pay attention if some of the BOYS are bullying others, also the food seems terrible in my opinion I've seen it, times I've been told it's been expired. I heard some kids got sick from it.'

This is the first year my son who's in the second grade has attended this school…read more He has encountered bullying from one individual. As usual the vice principal read me the standard " we have taken this incident script". I take my son to school everyday and the behavior of most of the at the before recess is atrocious. I did volunteered for a times but his 2nd class could barely read at a 1st grade level and it was frustrating for me as I was just wasting time. The playground supervisor can barely control those undisciplined students. This school will set your child back immensely if they can read at grade level they will be forced to wait for the students who cannot. I have gotten a report that the same boy has continued his bullying agenda.

They have art, Spanish and tech programs. The teachers and admin are very supportive. The staff is highly trained and if you check out site it is evident that there are cool things happening there. The negative review by one parent where he felt he was wasting time volunteering was funny, because if there were a lot of low readers than it would be very valuable to volunteer for. Don't let one negative comment fool you! There are tours offered to parents to find out about the program and to see for themselves.
