M track and Summit track. M track is traditional middle school and summit track is more project based in all subjects with the use of Summit platform. Neither track requires you to do much homeschooling anymore like in the earlier grades or other campuses (c track at Bear Valley for grades k8th). There's everything here as far as extra curricular activities and more for middle school.. ASB, theater, and lots of exploratory classes throughout their years here. It is not a bilingual school as another student stated in her review. As for math, there's a placement test required before entry to the school. Based on this, you're placed based on scores. There is a zoom math helpline available day and evening hours for free.. Students are in campus 3 days a week. There is a study period as part of their schedule so lots of help is available daily. The other days are at home or on campus Mondays available to students who need extra supports from teachers. The IEP services are also provided here.. in person and not online. I was punished with having multiple grades lowered despite doing work because I was in the hospital. Drug use and bullying is extremely common here, little is done to stop it. Kids are reckless on bikes and motorbikes. Suspension and detention policies are too loose. My entire time here, 6th to 8th, was very depressing and filled with bullying. Students can be forced to go no contact with others rather than have civil conversations. I wish I never attended.

The class sizes were small and well equipped. The school had multiple small plays and ceremonies involving the students for the parents. I had to withdraw my daughters because we moved but Grace set such a high standard that we haven't been satisfied with the schools and daycares in our new area.

His parents only enrolled him because it's "supposedly the best around and has high ratings" I now believe that it's only due to test scores. The child I had to watch was a troubled kid. He needed the right attention but instead of doing that they have enabled his behavior by letting him play on the playground to "decompress" whenever he wants and take him out of class to go to a "sensory room" which in my experience was very degrading. They also let him wander the halls all day without returning him to class. If you treat a child like they are less than their peers that child is doomed to be unsuccessful. Canyon View Elementary doesn't know how to discipline a child the right away. Instead they use a "reward system" and whenever said child got all his rewards all he wanted to do was spend time with the the staff. Which was again taking him out of class and preventing him to learn. He can hardly spell a word. They can't even handle him and his parents have to take time off work multiple times a week because he keeps getting suspended, almost like they don't know what they're doing and just don't want to deal with the child anymore. Why should the parents stop doing their job when the school should be doing theirs? Hands down the worst elementary school around in a while. They are supposed to make the school safe but yet I had to walk into campus (without any other parents) (without being searched, and without proper identification of who I was before entering the campus) I had to watch him until his assigned aid was available. Over all I would give this school zero stars. They don't know what they are doing and should hire more help with kids that have special needs and learn to not treat them accordingly. If they are acting out, calm them down but then treat them like any other child. Every bad reaction deserves a consequence without risking the development of their child's education.

My kids are doing STEM and all of the core learning at a very high level, but they're also having fun and doing lots of creative stuff as well. If you're trying to get your kid into Tk or kindergarten at Painted Rock it can be stressful, but once you're in you are good to go and won't want to leave until your kids graduate.
