Super Happy with His New Bike! Great customer service!

We had a great experience at the store. I went in nervous because I had no prior knowledge about BMX bikes. The staff were super nice and asked great questions to see what is best for my son. Ty

New bike

I have never been into this bike shop, but I was greeted promptly once I entered. I was looking for a bike and it had been decades since I last rode one. I thought I wanted a cruiser, but as I kept talking with kenny about what I wanted to do he recommended another bike. This place is awesome. I felt really comfortable and felt the employees were honest and not trying to sell me the most expensive bike for my money. I left with the perfect bike plus extra knowledge about biking. Thank you so much Valley bikes. I will always talk highly about my visit and purchase.

My bike came out amazing! Thank you!

Ask the Community - Valley Bikes

What is the approximate coast to fix or replace bike brakes?

That is a loaded question as there are about 12 different types of brakes on bicycles and no less than 50 different symptoms. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to bring the bike in so that we can look at it and then we can give you an idea…

DC-10, I should have left a review years ago…read more.... Folks, here's an honest review from one happy customer and someone who's known Doug for many years. 40+ yrs Doug is a sweet, down to earth gentlemen that knows his $h!t on just about everything. He can work on bicycles that many know him by, but he is so much more on motorcycles, race bikes, off road bikes and quads. Not many know he is a Salinas native whom at one time was an AMA Super-bike Champion Bad A$$ that toured the world.... I am honored to have him as my personal mechanic on my 93 GSXR 1100 for all my personal needs. I trust NO ONE to work on my toys but rest assured you can trust Doug to get things running right and done right the first time. His prices are comparable and knowing whatever he works on, you can rest easy knowing he treats it as his own. I've gone to other bike shops in Salinas, Monterey, Seaside, San Jose and non compare to the respect and quality of service I get from DC-10. I highly recommend Doug and his DC-10 shop for all your motorcycle repairs and needs. Loyalty, Honesty, Trustworthy, Workmanship. Five stars for me and a customer for life. Thanks DC-10 for all you do !!!

Bike & coffee review!!…read more Let's start with the coffee. By far the best I had my whole trip to Carmel/Monterey. Absolute perfection. We actually all got drinks from their seasonal menu. Highly recommend using the pistachio milk! Presentation was gorgeous and service was SO good. Friendliest people fr. The space is so clean and so trendy, welcoming, and smells amazing. Don't forget a pup cup for your pup! DO THE BIKE RENTALS! Absolute highlight of our trip. BUT the team at this location recommended we actually rent from their Monterey location based on what we wanted to experience (literally biking on the coast / 17 mile drive route- hello!!!). They were also able to recommend what bikes we should book, etc. Only thing that wasn't cute was the prices on the flyer at the bike shop are inaccurate. Said $50 all day ride from Monterey but in fact it was $75. They said the flyer was out of date. Regardless, Mad Dog is so fab

Saw this place ranked among Yelp's Top 50 Best Coffee Shops in America and knew I had to try it!…read more This review is strictly for the coffee shop! The coffee shop is located at the front, with bike rentals in the back. The store itself is super cute and extremely dog-friendly, which is always a huge plus. Parking: No designated parking lot, so you'll have to find street parking. It was pretty difficult on a Sunday, but honestly, that's nothing out of the ordinary for downtown Carmel. We got 3 drinks from their seasonal menu, and unfortunately, they were all just okay. Strawberry Fields -- $8.50 The matcha was decent, and I appreciated that they used strawberry purée. However, it wasn't memorable enough for me to order again. Vanilla Cardamom Latte -- $7.50 The cardamom was SUPER strong, and I felt like it overpowered everything else. The description mentioned rich espresso and creamy vanilla, but both were definitely lacking. Velvet Noir -- $7.50 This tasted as described: dark chocolate and cherry espresso. It was not overwhelmingly sweet. Service deserves a shoutout! Despite my mixed feelings about the drinks, the service was AMAZING! The cashier was super friendly and even made a special pup treat for my dog, which I genuinely appreciated. My dog absolutely loved it! As an avid coffee drinker, I'm not sure I'd personally consider this one of the "best coffee shops" based on the drinks alone. I was hoping for stronger espresso flavors, especially given the recognition and price point. That said, the customer service and dog-friendly atmosphere were fantastic! I didn't get a chance to rent a bike this time, but I'd definitely stop by again on my next visit to Carmel. Maybe I'll have better luck with a different drink next time!
