Brought my bike in because the brakes weren't working and I couldn't figure out why. Everyone was helpful and the service was fast.

BEWARE! Way over priced. Tells me he can fix my bike but when I pick it up and it's not fixed, he makes an excuse and says "well we're not dealers of this bike" it's an excuse because he forgot to fix it. It was not the same part as the brand name but it didn't need to be. If I was rating the staff it would not get any stars. Fire Collin! He is beyond rude. The owners should know about him. The staff says he's just not a people person. This shop won't be here for long. Update - the response sounds good but it has nothing to do with the issue. RUDE EMPLOYEE , OVER PRICED, NOT FIXED WHEN YOU SAID IT COULD BE. Now I have to find a reliable repair center to repair what they did not. read more

One of the employees was laughing at the fact that they had my bike for 6 weeks without even finishing the job. Very disappointed in the way they handled the situation. Multiple times I called and asked for an update with no reply or response back. I've spent $3000 there in the past year on repairs and parts. Time to use the other Trek bike store in the area. I have used them for tune ups in the past and they did an adequate job. Last tune up I mentioned some noise coming when peddling. Got the bike back and they said everything was fine. Next ride out noise was worse than ever. Brought the bike back after my ride and discussed the issue with the service tech. He rode and it and noticed the noise, suspected something in the linkage bolts. This was on Saturday, said he would schedule work on Tuesday and call me if they had any questions. Never heard anything on Tuesday, so called and left a message on Wednesday, no return call. Called again Friday and spoke with someone, asked if I could get a status. Put on hold for 15 minutes, then tells me no one has looked at the bike. I asked why, he mumbled something about no one pulled the ticket. I asked when they would work on it, and he said he had no idea when they could get to it, so I told him not to do any work and I would pick up the bike later. When I arrived to get the bike, no apology, no discussion about why it wasn't worked on. I get stuff happens, but have the courtesy to call me and let me know what's going on and when things can get done. You just lost a customer, and someone looking at new bikes in the future. I will never step foot back in your business. read more

Excellent location you can park in front of it or probably in the back of the building. Have a good collection of trek and Electra. They have for all ages all budgets. They even have many electric bicycles. No pressure from sellers. I did not try any of the bicycles because it was raining outside. I have to come back to try a few and decide on one. Prices are within normal limits and actually they had a few discounts here and there. read more

The other I made an appointment to drop off my bike for repairs. I dropped off my bike for new rear break shoes. When dropping off my bike they said it wouldn't be ready until the next day. I am a below the right knee amputee. I told them that my bike is my wheelchair and I needed my bike today. They said they would fit me in. They called me that afternoon and left a message on my phone letting me know my bike was ready for pickup. Due to technological difficulties I didn't receive that message until several days after. Fortunately, I called them the next morning. They said my bike was ready for pickup. I kind of panic when my wheelchair isn't nearby. My bike? It's riding perfectly again. On a recent trip to PG, the beautiful weather made us happy we'd brought our bikes. We had almost left them at home because when we pulled them out of the barn we realized our donkeys had been messing with EVERYTHING on them. We also had blown an inter-tube but planned/hoped to find a local bike shop to get a repair. We found Epicenter Cycling and rolled my dirty, donkey messed with bike in, and were met with the nicest people. They COULD have just sold us an inner tube, but what they DID do was provide the best cycling customer service we have ever experienced. They immediately identified several tweaky problems with my bike (bad donkeys), and quickly hooked it up on the rack and began adjusting, tuning , etc....no waiting, right on the spot! We decided to drag our other bike in (because we' were now suspicious that the donkeys truly are masterminds of sabotage) as well. In a flash (and for a very reasonable fee to boot) Epicenter had both bikes tuned, and had installed an adorable new basket - and the cutest garden gnome bike bell ever! If you're in the Pacific Grove or Monterey area looking for a bike, or are needing your donkey chewed bike repaired, go see the guys at Epicenter. Simply excellent bike shop! read more

I never liked this store, or the management, or the product selection, until my experience getting my bike fixed today. I needed a valve stem replaced, David greeted me during everyone's lunch break, and was all over my situation. Not only fixed my valve stem, but ID'd a few other issues that I dodn't know about and that would have caused BIG problems later, he fixed these right away, and I was out the door surprisingly cheap. Well, my dinosaur of a mountain bike was in need of some tuning and repairs. Live in PG and our local bike shop closed as the owner retired. My husband and i parked in Marina and rode our bikes into Monterey on the bike path. We got halfway to the wharf when my husband discovered his front derailer had a loose wire and he was stuck in low gear. We pedaled our way over to Epicenter Cycling in Pacific Grove where Christian diagnosed and fixed the issue in just a few minutes so we could get back on our ride. Not only did Christian fix it fast, he did it at no charge! We will definitely be back when we are in the market for a new bike. Way back in October at the Sea Otter Classic I stopped by Epicenter's booth and saw the perfect bike for me. I was kind of disappointed when they told me that it wouldn't be available until April but I had to have it so I ordered it anyway. That being said I was pleasantly surprised when they called me in late January to inform me that my bike was ready. When I got to the store to pick up my ride they began helping me right away to get everything I wanted added on to the bicycle along with working with me to get the proper fit and suspension settings. Awesome experience. They also advised me on all the local trails. Rode 20+ miles at Fort Ord and the bike worked perfectly first time out. I also previously demo'd a bike at their Aptos store and they took the price of the demo off of the cost of the bike. Bottom line: Great bike shop.
