    Full Size Oli's Mexican Pizza
    Tiffany D.

I ordered a Mexican pizza with Machaka and sour cream. I had no idea what I was in for, this food was sooooo good. I cannot believe I have driven by this place so many times and never stopped! Who knew some of the best Mexican food was right under my nose. The employees are super sweet and the service was awesome. The place looks cool, I will definitely be back with my friends. I am so happy I tried this place today.

I stopped by here on Friday with the fam bam and we all love Valle Luna, we were greeted when we walked in and seated within about 5 minutes. It was very quick. The ambiance in here is nice as well very clean and organized and a darker setting not so bright inside which I like ( it is also not dark either ) it was good. I love their chips and salsa it is soooooo yummy! The chips were made fresh and were nice and warm when it was dropped off to the table, they also have a spicy salsa and that one is pretty hot if you are into spicy stuff. I love just the regular salsa. It is amazing. I ordered the steak fundido with extra jalapeño cream cheese with rice and beans. YUM! Seriously love this meal. My mom got the steak and shrimp fajitas with flour tortillas and it sizzles coming to the table, SMELLS amazing and a cool experience. She also got rice and beans and they serve fixing to add to it like sour cream, avocado, cheese and lettuce. Amazing! My son got the kids burger with fries - the kids burger is pretty decent size! He loved it, no complaints there. My cousins kiddo got the kids chicken tacos with french fries - he loved it as well! Their tacos are also yummy! I love the beef one. Chicken is also pretty darn good. Other kiddo got the 2 bean and cheese kids burrito with a side of rice, she loved it as well. Then another one got the dinner combos 2 Flauta's one chicken and one beef with sautéed vegetables on the side. Our server was good and attentive, checked on us a good amount of times. I liked that! All in all, amazing yummy experience! Thank you!!

Corned beef tacos for St Paddy's day

I've keep missing the corned beef tacos on St Paddy's day but this year we made it! I honestly didn't expect much but a novelty but they were surprisingly good. They came out super quick and were so juicy. The corned beef had cheese and a cabbage slaw in a house fried crispy shell. I paired it with the melon margaritas. Can't wait for next year!

Valle Luna, direct translation Moon Valley, is an unsuspecting little Sonoran Mexican restaurant on North Cave Creek Rd. The parking lot was jammed packed when I pulled in and I hoped it wouldn't be a long wait. Upon entering we were greeted immediately and almost as soon we were being walked to our seat. I noticed the place is huge as the led us through several different rooms before seating us. The service was relatively slow but very friendly. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and my mom ordered the chimichanga. The fish tacos were so good. There is some kind of sauce on the taco and that along with the house made salsa was amazing. The chimichanga was good, nothing amazing. Margs were ok. My mom had the classic marg and it was very watered down. I had a skinny marg and it was average. The first one tasted better than the second one. Overall I thought it was good but not amazing. I'll go back for the fish taco and salsa.

The food is consistently good and they have great margaritas. Rustic vibe and service is always fun. Gloria is a GREAT server!

This was the third Mexican restaurant we visited while in Arizona. And we LOVED IT! The place had a Spanish-styled home feel on the inside. We made it just in time for the lunch menu and ordered the burrito and their popular dish, Fundido. Both were delicious, with a nice size portion and for a good price. The chips and salsa were good and they kept it flowing as long as you wanted. The best part was the margarita special. $1.99 12oz margaritas. They were very tasty with the right amount of alcohol. This was a fave for us. There are more than one location so please check one out. The service was great as well. Our server was very helpful and the food came out fast!

Valle Luna never misses for a chill lunch. I got the chicken quesadilla and it was hot, cheesy, and super satisfying -exactly what I wanted. Went with a friend and the vibe was relaxed, service was quick, and portions were solid.

Sunday funday is a good day at Valle Luna. About 6 food specials with the taco basket being the clear best choice. Margaritas are still $6-$7. Bartender though is very repetitive.

Cons: not crispy enough for my taste. Especially the flats. Could go much hotter. Crispy buffalo salad: again, mid. Decent chicken, and that's about it. Located on Cave Creek Road, I had passed by this bar several times and was excited to finally try it out. While I parked across the street at the venue where I was for my event prior, I did notice that they had a decent amount of free parking available. Ambiance (4/5): Cactus Tavern is a dive bar with some Arizona flair. Given the name of the bar, I expected some cactus decor. It did not disappoint...including square lights with cactus cut-outs above each table. There are several high top tables as well as seating at the bar. It's not a huge bar, probably fits 50 people or so, and it was about 90% at capacity when I was there. They also have one pool table. Seems like the type of place where regulars come, which is always a plus in my book. Service (4.5/5): Our waitress did a great job taking care of us despite being quite busy. She was friendly, efficient, and made some recommendations when I asked for some. Pro tip: they give you a cash discount, so if you'd like to save a little bit, make sure you bring cash. Drinks (4/5): With it being a dive bar, the options are going to be on a simpler side. They had eight or so beers on tap, so not a large selection, but I ended up going with a WOW Wheat. A few local beers, plus some usual suspects like Coors Light, Dos Equis, Modelo, etc. While the selection didn't blow my socks off, the prices are reasonable. That counts for a lot. Food (4.5/5): According to Yelp, Cactus Tavern is known for their quesabirria tacos. Since quesabirria is one of my favorite Mexican foods, I couldn't say no. I'm glad I didn't. You get three quesabirria tacos (birria meat, cilantro, cheese, and onions), fresh off the griddle, served with a green salsa and consommé. These were hands down some of the best birria tacos I've ever had. They were served right off the grill, the meat was flavorful, and the oozy cheese was delicious. With a side of elote (on the cob), it made for the perfect meal. This is not your typical bar food, y'all. It's a notch or two above. I was pleasantly surprised. And like the drinks, the food prices are affordable too. Pro tip #2: if you're looking for deals beyond the cash discount, they have daily discounts on various items including a burger and a pint, Philly cheesesteak, etc. depending on the day.

For me, it was a big hike up to the north side- but totally worth the haul! It is definitely a "seasoned" vibe, having immediately taken over the space by a former western bar/beer hall that had been in existence for 50+ years. Their menu says "German and Hungarian" but all I read was German. They have a solid European beer selection, including taps and bottles and some cocktails with a German twist. The one that threw me for a loop (in the best way) was Kriek! So ofc I got a pint. We shared a (fairly large) pretzel to start, which comes with beer cheese. Tasty, but I was genuinely shocked there was no mustard.
