Full Size Oli's Mexican Pizza
Tiffany D.

I ordered a Mexican pizza with Machaka and sour cream. I had no idea what I was in for, this food was sooooo good. I cannot believe I have driven by this place so many times and never stopped! Who knew some of the best Mexican food was right under my nose. The employees are super sweet and the service was awesome. The place looks cool, I will definitely be back with my friends. I am so happy I tried this place today.

I stopped by here on Friday with the fam bam and we all love Valle Luna, we were greeted when we walked in and seated within about 5 minutes. It was very quick. The ambiance in here is nice as well very clean and organized and a darker setting not so bright inside which I like ( it is also not dark either ) it was good. I love their chips and salsa it is soooooo yummy! The chips were made fresh and were nice and warm when it was dropped off to the table, they also have a spicy salsa and that one is pretty hot if you are into spicy stuff. I love just the regular salsa. It is amazing. I ordered the steak fundido with extra jalapeño cream cheese with rice and beans. YUM! Seriously love this meal. My mom got the steak and shrimp fajitas with flour tortillas and it sizzles coming to the table, SMELLS amazing and a cool experience. She also got rice and beans and they serve fixing to add to it like sour cream, avocado, cheese and lettuce. Amazing! My son got the kids burger with fries - the kids burger is pretty decent size! He loved it, no complaints there. My cousins kiddo got the kids chicken tacos with french fries - he loved it as well! Their tacos are also yummy! I love the beef one. Chicken is also pretty darn good. Other kiddo got the 2 bean and cheese kids burrito with a side of rice, she loved it as well. Then another one got the dinner combos 2 Flauta's one chicken and one beef with sautéed vegetables on the side. Our server was good and attentive, checked on us a good amount of times. I liked that! All in all, amazing yummy experience! Thank you!!

Corned beef tacos for St Paddy's day

I've keep missing the corned beef tacos on St Paddy's day but this year we made it! I honestly didn't expect much but a novelty but they were surprisingly good. They came out super quick and were so juicy. The corned beef had cheese and a cabbage slaw in a house fried crispy shell. I paired it with the melon margaritas. Can't wait for next year!

Baja Fish Taco Dinner

Valle Luna, direct translation Moon Valley, is an unsuspecting little Sonoran Mexican restaurant on North Cave Creek Rd. The parking lot was jammed packed when I pulled in and I hoped it wouldn't be a long wait. Upon entering we were greeted immediately and almost as soon we were being walked to our seat. I noticed the place is huge as the led us through several different rooms before seating us. The service was relatively slow but very friendly. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and my mom ordered the chimichanga. The fish tacos were so good. There is some kind of sauce on the taco and that along with the house made salsa was amazing. The chimichanga was good, nothing amazing. Margs were ok. My mom had the classic marg and it was very watered down. I had a skinny marg and it was average. The first one tasted better than the second one. Overall I thought it was good but not amazing. I'll go back for the fish taco and salsa.

The food is consistently good and they have great margaritas. Rustic vibe and service is always fun. Gloria is a GREAT server!

Fundido with shredded beef, rice and no beans

This was the third Mexican restaurant we visited while in Arizona. And we LOVED IT! The place had a Spanish-styled home feel on the inside. We made it just in time for the lunch menu and ordered the burrito and their popular dish, Fundido. Both were delicious, with a nice size portion and for a good price. The chips and salsa were good and they kept it flowing as long as you wanted. The best part was the margarita special. $1.99 12oz margaritas. They were very tasty with the right amount of alcohol. This was a fave for us. There are more than one location so please check one out. The service was great as well. Our server was very helpful and the food came out fast!

Valle Luna never misses for a chill lunch. I got the chicken quesadilla and it was hot, cheesy, and super satisfying -exactly what I wanted. Went with a friend and the vibe was relaxed, service was quick, and portions were solid.

Sunday funday is a good day at Valle Luna. About 6 food specials with the taco basket being the clear best choice. Margaritas are still $6-$7. Bartender though is very repetitive.

Ask the Community - Valle Luna

Why did this location quit serving chips/salsa and huevos rancheros on Sunday breakfast? We are so bummed. We went there every Sunday for breakfast. Now we have to find a new breakfast location during football season.

Stupid of them!! Why I won't come back

Is Valle Luna restaurant dog friendly?

Upon arrival I/we were a bit hesitant because the facade is a little rough. But upon entry we're greeted by the friendliest bartender I've/we've encountered in quite some time. Alex is not only efficient, fast and friendly she had wonderful menu suggestions and explained many items that stand out. We ordered the small queso with chips and salsa. Quite good. Potato skins were pretty average. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich with onion rings. Both were great. I ordered the Reuben with fries. EXCELLENT! The bar is quite comfortable. There are many booths, tv's and tables as well. There is also an additional room with tables and OTB and pool tables. The place is much larger than expected. When we arrived there were only a few people in the bar/restaurant (11:30 am) but as we sat they filled up quickly. This is the kind of place that "regulars" haunt and for good reason... Just jumbo screen/ audio of cartoons we must've been pestering our poor waitress, but there was just no solid "sorry, we can't get the game on" so we just sat there too long to the point where it would be inconvenient to leave after already ordering food lol. Took a while to get our food and drinks, especially refill on the chips. Didn't seem to busy, but was a smaller staff so maybe that was the cause. The queso and Korean street corn were tasty with the chips. Good fish and chips and a standard caesar salad. The cocktails with lime were sooooo tart and sour would maybe just stick to the draft beers. Anyways, interesting experience to say the least, meh.

She chatted with us enough to make us know that she cared, but not so much as to be intrusive. When my sister mentioned that one of the beers on the menu had our surname in its name, our server brought her a mardi gras type beaded necklace with the logo of the beer on it. Such a thoughtful touch! We started with the Pogi, which is basically a cross between a biscuit and a roll. What made it really special was the house-made warm cranberry sauce. It was so good that I asked for a large side to take home, which they happily provided for me. It's going on English muffins in the morning. My husband had the beef stroganoff, and it has literally ruined him for stroganoff from anywhere else, ever. The beef was tender and well-seasoned, and it was served over fluffy spaetzle. My spaetzle with feta cheese, bacon, and sour cream was delicious. For dessert, we had the Apple Strudel and the Black Forest Cake. The strudel was flaky, with apples that were delicately spiced but not mushy or overly sweet. The cake... I've never had such a beautifully light cake. My fork met almost no resistance as I took a bite. It was made with fresh cherries -- not processed pie filling-- and had a whipped cream frosting that again, was not overly sweet. Although I've never been to Germany or Hungary, I have no doubt that our meal was the real deal. All in all, a simply wonderful experience.

With several locations in Phoenix, this one was closest so we made our way and didn't have any trouble parking in their complimentary lot. Ambiance (5/5): I loved the vibe. Think of it as a pub with a lot of character. There's wallpaper on the walls which you don't expect at an English pub. But it works. There's seating at the bar, high tops, and tables/booths. They also have two pool tables. Cool decor abounds, including some cool pictures a flag of the area in England where pasties were invented. Service (4.5/5): While they weren't packed while we were there, there were a good number of people hanging out. Our waiter did a good job of taking care of us. He checked in with us regularly and closed us out efficiently when we were ready to make a move. He also repeated our orders to make sure they were right, which is always a nice touch. Drinks (4.5/5): While they have a full bar, when I'm at a pub, I'm thinking about beer. They have a good beer list consisting of both European beers and craft brews. I went with a Bavik pils. Their beers are reasonably priced too, which is always a big plus in my book. Given that they're a pub, I wish they had a larger menu, but outside of that, exactly what I was looking for. Food (4.5/5): If you're like me, you probably have never had a pasty. Or heard of them. If that's the case, you're in for a treat. Think of pasties as essentially British empanadas. They were invented in England and the menu gives you a nice history of how they came about. Most of the menu consists of these delectable pies. You have 30 or so of them to choose from (including vegetarian options). Outside of that, you have some appetizers and desserts for the most part. I went with the meat and cheese pasty which has sausage, beef, and cheese and is served with your choice of one of three dipping sauces. I went with the red wine gravy which was the perfect compliment to the pasty. The pasties were baked just right, flavorful, and a unique experience. They're a little pricey for the portion size, but still pretty filling. If you're feeling more adventurous, they have non-traditional pasties too like the Cubano, Tikka Masala, etc. They even have a dessert pasty with apples and cinnamon which is served a la mode with ice cream. I preferred the savory option as the pasty was a tad overcooked. But overall, an awesome meal. Cornish Pasty, I'll definitely be back. Stay pasty, my friends.
