Butter Cake

The pizza is absolutely fantastic, perfectly thin, crispy crust with just the right amount of crunch in every bite. And the butter cake? Even better than mastros Steakhouse rich, indulgent, and unforgettable. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

We were in the neighborhood with an hour to spare wanting to watch the World Series so decided to stop in Upper crust pizza and wine. We sat in the 21 and older lounge area. It was cozy and dimly lit with plenty of TV's. We watched the game while having a glass of wine, Caprese salad, and build your own Calzone. The marinara sauce served on the side was good. My husband liked it too, but wished they used the marinara inside instead of as a dipping sauce. He also wished they used mozzarella instead of ricotta inside the Calzone. There's another side of the restaurant that's family friendly. We've eaten there before a year ago and tried the veggie pizza, which was great. Upper crust is a chill spot to grab a bite, enjoy some wine, and catch a game. It's got a very casual lounge vibe or the other side is also causal, family friendly. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

Rating: 1.5 / 5 Stars The hallmark of a reliable neighborhood haunt is consistency. It is the silent contract between the kitchen and the regular: we return for the flavors we know, and in exchange, the establishment maintains its standards. Having frequented Upper Crust for some time, I have long appreciated its place in our local rotation. However, during my visit today, that contract wasn't just breached--it was shredded. The meal began with a pair of personal pizzas that can only be described as arid. A pizza requires the trinity of crust, cheese, and sauce to work in harmony; here, the sauce was a ghost, leaving the palate wandering through a desert of dry dough and over-baked cheese. The wings followed suit, arriving with a technical flaw that even a novice line cook should catch. Rather than being properly tossed in a bowl to ensure an even, emulsified coating, they were served bone-dry, perched atop a reservoir of sauce at the bottom of the plate. It was a "deconstructed" presentation that I'm certain was unintentional and entirely unappetizing. However, a kitchen can have an off day. What a restaurant cannot afford is a failure in leadership. When I brought these concerns to the manager on duty--a woman who seemed more interested in protecting her ego than her patrons--the interaction shifted from a standard quality-control check to an exercise in hostility. Instead of the practiced grace one expects from management, I was met with a defensive, remarkably rude posture. In my two decades of reviewing, I've found that a restaurant is only as resilient as its floor leadership. Today, that leadership was brittle. Upper Crust has the bones of a good establishment, but today's experience suggests a troubling lapse in both culinary execution and basic hospitality. One hopes this was a momentary lapse and not a new standard, but for now, the "crust" isn't the only thing feeling a bit too dry. The Details The Dish: Two personal pizzas (sauce-deficient) and 2 lbs of "untossed" wings. The Service: Dismissive and combative management; a disappointing departure from previous visits. The Verdict: A neighborhood staple in desperate need of a refresher course in customer relations.

This place is perfect for a large group. I had a girls night here with a reservation for 12 and they had our table all prepared for us when we arrived. We were in a back room all to ourselves. It was cozy and private and our service was stellar. Nico was the name of our server. He was efficient and friendly. He was willing to split our checks in whatever way we wanted. There was no large group fee. He gave us the space we needed to visit but took great care of us at the same time. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't order off the happy hour menu but it was understandable that they only offer it on the patio and in the lounge. My daughter and I shared a half pound of wings, a create your own calzone, and tiramisu. The tiramisu was to die for! The calzone was huge and filled with ricotta cheese. The wings were crunchy and delicious. Our friends had a wide different items ie. a margarita pizza, meatballs, salad, etc. I had two pear martinis that were very tasty and my daughter had the upper crust mule, which was basically a Moscow mule. Overall our night was delightful and we would definitely go back to this place for happy hour, girls night, or just a night with the family

I have had a crazy busy day. I wanted something good to eat so I decided to try Upper Crust Pizza. I had it delivered this pizza hits the spot! It is so good and they gave me peppers and parmesan. I love both on my pizza. Thanks for satisfying my craving! I hope to come and check this place out in person soon.

They took care of us for my daughter birthday in July with a huge order, great communication with the owners. They deliver or do pick ups. We decided to pick it up. We order pretty much everything on the menu and they had it ready for us at the time noted. All the food was good and the party really enjoyed.

We've visited this place a few times now, and I have to say, the pizza and wings are fantastic! This last time, we ordered half pepperoni and half with jalapenos and pineapple--so delicious! Plus, the customer service is always top-notch. I honestly think this spot beats Gramaldie's pizza any day!

Stuffed mushrooms & extra crispy honey hot Wings
Jacqui B.

I love that this neighborhood favorite still has a great vibe. The wine list isn't as extensive as it once was, but still some nice selections. Happy hour includes several food options. On this visit, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the extra crispy honey hot wings. This is kind of our standard order and then sometimes we also order the meatballs trio to share if we're still feeling a little peckish. Great lighting, friendly staff, consistently generous portions for the price.

Plate sized pizza was free with coupon. This was a good version of pizza with a nice chewy crust. Lunch crowd was small, but lively.

At the risk of sounding insufferable, the food was absolutely mid. Wings were "okay"- no more, no less. Pros: good flavor hot buffalo sauce, great ranch, not overly big and meaty. Cons: not crispy enough for my taste. Especially the flats. Could go much hotter. Crispy buffalo salad: again, mid. Decent chicken, and that's about it. I ended up zhuzhing up the salad at home with blue cheese crumbles and some additional dressing. Why am I paying $18 to make my own salad??? Overall, I won't go out of my way to be back. If I'm meeting a friend for a beer, then sure.

Let's see what had one server who saw the left over plates (from the appetizers) and until I asked him to pick them up in a polite manner he was to walk away. And he was perturbed. Our server decided on how own to split a salad for us. Then we never saw him or anyone else see if we wanted refills. Started strong then fumbled midway through. The final kicker? He dropped the check and then never saw him. I went up to the hostess area where pick up is located and asked if they could check us out. Despite seeing a POS machine which allows them to do that. They didn't. Excuses included we don't know his code, we can't use a code. The idea of checking someone out when they got to bolt and your decision not to, is bad biz. Here is a simple way to solve this. 1. You have a piece of paper next to that pos which lists the servers that day and their codes. 2.. you then see their name, enter their code and close the check. Or you just use the code you have, and check out the customer. After this we decided we are NEVER coming back.

Jessica, my waitress was really awesome and very friendly and helped me pick out some really great things on the menu. I had the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. The German pretzel bites with beer, cheese and the churros with ice cream and a few beers and I have to say the prices are excellent and the food is incredibly good and I don't say that lightning most dive bars are just good for the ambience and a few cheap drinks. This place is great all around. Also, their patio area is dog friendly, so I was able to bring my little furry friend with me and he hung out and laid down near the table. Another bonus.

You can tell right away this is the kind of place regulars come back to often. Food I didn't try much food, but I did have the cheese crisp and it was solid. Light, flaky, and more like an open-faced tostada than a quesadilla. It came topped with green chili and chicken, and everything worked well together. Based on that, I'd expect the rest of the menu to be consistent, even if it's not trying to reinvent the wheel. Service Service was efficient, especially considering how busy it was. No complaints here... you can tell the staff knows how to handle a full house and keep things moving. Ambience This is where the place stands out. The vibe feels like a food network designed a biker bar, but in a fun, not over-the-top way. It's also apparently a Kansas City Chiefs bar, which adds to the identity. There was a live band playing early 2000s rock hits, which kept the energy up. Crowd was friendly overall, very much a neighborhood crowd. Overall This isn't a destination bar, but it's a really solid go-to if you live nearby. Think of it as an elevated dive/sports bar with a strong local following. Good drinks, good energy, and a place that does what it's supposed to do well.
