Without a doubt 110% the worst Customer Service I have ever received in my entire life! You should absolutely avoid this restaurant at all cost Here's the story I found one of their employees cell phone phones a nice iPhone sitting at an empty table. I picked it up put it in my pocket and waited for somebody hopefully the owner to call it. There was no Find My available and Siri was not set up so I was unable to figure out where it belong or make a call to return it. Sure enough the owner did call and it was one of the employees of the restaurant happy to be able to give the person back their phone. I walked up to the front of the restaurant and I was where I was immediately berated by the rudest employee in the world for taking his phone all but accusing me of theft and then followed me the other side of the restaurant through the kitchen. I didn't go to the kitchen. He went through the kitchen where he came back out and started beating me again he is the most unthankful rudest, and worst employee server I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. In the future, Mr. Weiderman, a simple thank you and a smile goes along freaking way. I cannot speak to the food, and I cannot speak to the ambience because we never received our food and we were immediately kicked out. Admittedly, my argument with the waiter was a little bit loud. And as we can all see from their business managers response to my review, they still refuse to take accountability for their extremely rude service staff. They clearly don't want to do better. I would avoid this place if I were you and I was reading reviews, there are much better places. I also wouldn't try to do any of the servers any favors if you happen to go into this place you will probably be accused of stealing as well. read more

Representing 2022, V is for Valle Luna. My parents used to live in the Valley and moved to Pennsylvania much closer to me in 2021. Every January my dad goes back to Phoenix for a medical follow-up in his birthday month. In January 2022, I joined my dad for this trip to pick him up after the follow-up since he couldn't drive for hours afterward. One evening we went down to Chandler to visit my friend; my dad dropped me off and picked me up later. Afterward, my dad & I enjoyed Valle Luna. I feel like I might've gone here once with my parents when I was in high school, but don't remember. I do remember my 2022 visit. Portion sizes are big; so come hungry! I had enchiladas with rice & black beans. This is amongst the best tasting I've had. Chips & salsa are solid here too. Service was good. There's nice Mexican decor from the tiles to the decorations, and there's a manmade lake behind the restaurant & shopping center, which is nice. I highly recommend Valle Luna. Two years later, my parents & I went to the North Phoenix (Cave Creek Road) location, and while a less fancy looking location, the food & service was excellent and would warrant 5-stars if I ever got around to reviewing that location. read more

The food here was fantastic. Great deals happy hour on the weekends. It was extremely busy probably because of Mother's Day weekend. We waited for about 10 minutes in the bar area before our table was cleaned and a server came by but needless to say amazing deals amazing food highly recommend this is a huge establishment and I would rather wait at a table then wait out in a parking lot. read more

Let me start off by saying the food was fresh and delicious. I got the guacamole boat appetizer, chimichanga dinner, and fried ice cream and all were great! The burrito was a little soggy. The shredded beef was moist. The lettuce was a little cooked due to the heat of the food. The rice was a little dry. The black beans were alright. They put a little shredded cheese on top that was all melty. You don't get chips with your order. The staff was not very friendly. Did a take out order over the phone. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza. There is a little man made lake out back. Watch out for mosquitoes. There was a long line of people waiting to get seated. Monday lunch with the girls for Margaritas and tacos because let's be real, those are the only things that matter. Service was ridiculously fast and polite, I mean, they must've known we were starving. Had great service, obviously. We split 2 of the mini taco plates with a mix of Beef and Chicken because sharing is caring, and also because we're not savages. I liked the chicken better, no surprise there, I'm a chicken connoisseur after all. We sat out on the patio in the sun, it was absolutely gorgeous this Fall day. Hubby & I had dinner here tonight. I doubt we will be back. We were seated right away. Our server came over in a timely manner. We ordered our usual drinks of waters, beer & sangria. When our drinks came I asked for chips & salsa. She said they should be coming. It's weird to have alcohol drinks before chips & salsa. They did finally come. We didn't have plates for the chips, silverware or napkins. The sangria is really small. About half the size of a normal sangria anywhere else. It was okay. Hubby's beer was good & cold. The waters were warm so most of the ice was melted. We didn't have plates for the chips or napkins. Hubby ordered Baja fish tacos with rice & black beans. I ordered chicken fajitas without peppers & no lettuce. When our food was delivered I asked the person who brought it for silverware. He brought it & chip plates. The tacos were not what hubby expected. They were a piece of fried fish. He said they were good with the sauce, my sour cream & my guacamole on them. He loved the rice & black beans. My chicken did not have any char on it. The rice & beans were good. The women's restroom needed a good cleaning as the walls & floor were dirty. There was a sign on one of the stalls stating out of order. For the amount of money we paid & small drinks & the food just being okay, we won't be back anytime soon. read more

We had so much fun here. Met for lunch in between a couple of playoff basketball games. I had a white death marg and the sangria marg, both fantastic. We decided to stop by Valle Luna in Chandler with our daughter on Margarita Monday for their $1.99 margaritas! The bar area was pretty busy, but we were able to get a table inside the restaurant. The margaritas, chips, and salsa were all delicious, and we ended up ordering the tamale dinner, which was just as good as I remembered. We used to always take our kids to their Ahwatukee location before it closed. My only complaint is that they serve the margaritas in plastic cups, so the salt doesn't really stick to the rim like it would on a glass. I can definitely understand why they use the plastic cups as I'm sure they go through a ton of glasses but in my opinion it's just nicer to have the salt actually stay on the rim of a glass. Overall, we still enjoyed the evening and will definitely come back! read more

8/9/25: It wasn't bad; pretty large place, with a lot of bright colors throughout -- and some pretty funny signage. Unfortunately I don't remember what we ordered, but we both enjoyed the food. The only negative I can remember is that our server sometimes seemed more interested in the two gals at another table. Not sure if he was trying to hit on them, or they were hitting on him. Ha! Regardless, the service was decent and he was very friendly, talkative. I can't say there was anything fantastic about our experience that would make us drive from Laveen to Chandler just to eat there again, but maybe if we catch ourselves in the area again we would give it another go. read more

If you like old style, traditional Mexican restaurants this is a good place to visit. The waitstaff is wonderful here. Not only are they very attentive but they also tend to have great menu advice to offer. We had Eddy on our last visit and I was intrigued by the way he took in our long, complicated order without writing any of it down. (Yes, he got it all correct.) The chips and salsa are always a perfect way to start your meal. I tend to like the burritos here - anything with grilled pollo. I recommend the frijoles de olla (whole pinto beans) over the other beans although I'm sure the others are good too. read more

Valle Luna is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the valley. I like their chips and salsa and there's a huge variety of items on the menu. I've tried a lot over the past 20-something years and have never had anything bad. Not many places offer calabacitas instead of rice and beans for a side, but I highly recommend trying it here unless you've got an aversion to zucchini. Our waiter for the most recent visit was Eddie and he was awesome. The food was great and service was friendly, attentive but not hovering. I had the Consuelo Enchiladas Suizas with calabacitas. It didn't have as much sauce as I might have liked, but it was tasty. I meant to get a picture, but I was hungry and by the time I remembered, it was way too late. Maybe next time. Portions are generous -- I had my wife's leftover half of her massive chicken Bravisimo Burrito (no "ito" about it!) for lunch the next day and it was still delicious. Everyone raves about this place whether it's the one on Bell or this one in Chandler, but I've been unimpressed with both locations. The food just doesn't taste fresh or very authentic. The service was very friendly, but slow. Waited over 10 minutes for the box we requested, and to take our payment to pay our tab. The decor and atmosphere seem cluttered and dated. Overall, I would pass on this location and likely past its prime since it's an older location in the valley. read more

If you like Mexican food, Margaritas, Chips and Salsa, you should give Luna a try. Now I will tell you we dine on the bar side and have gotten to know a few of the servers. They've always been prompt, courteous, able to offer suggestions and even help with substitutions. The menu is extensive enough to offer the usual suspects along with a variety of cocktail suggestions. The spice level is right on the mark. None of that wimpy salsa that tastes like stewed tomatoes and labeled as "spicy" by SB's. And the hot salsa/Taco sauce is thick and has a good bite. Chimi is good. Good amount of meat of your choice and topped with Guac and Sour cream. And the guacamole has chunks of Avocado. Albondiga soup is good, plenty of veggies in that broth loaded with meatballs. MexiPizza is good and filling. Get it with guacamole or the Jalapeño cream cheese, both options are good. Tacos have been good and crispy. Tostadas get four thumbs us. Oh, one big thing I want to recommend if you don't eat your tostada promptly. Request they place it on its on plate without lettuce or anything under the shell. That way it doesn't go limp. Fried Ice Cream has been good, makes a tasty finish, and it's more than enough to share. Would not recommend ordering the Bean Dip. Just don't. LOTS of televisions. Pick one. Pick more, you've got plenty of options. Football, skiing, hockey, baseball, draft Pick news, golf, commercials, Chive... I'm seeing at least 5 tvs with hockey presently. Consider yourself forwarded, Tuesday is Senior "night", not just Taco Tueaday. They come here early and in swarms. Monday is Margarita Monday. Waterfront property in AZ? Yes please. This quiant Mexican joint with a whole bar vibe just a doorway away is perfect for some classic Mexican food. The Pollo Fundido will always be my #1 recommendation, but everything from the salsa to the $8 margaritas is extremely tasty. They seat you quickly and have open seating at the bar. Like the idea of senior night but felt that the guidelines were unclear. Nowhere did we see that we had to purchase beverages yet the server required it to use senior menu. The value of the night was decreased by $10 and seniors have to watch money. The check In process needs improvements. We asked for a Table and were told tables outside and in cantina open seating only to be told "not these tables!" Catering to the older population requires some additional attention to details. I might suggest that you move it to another day since Tuesday is "taco." Day for many peeps. Walking to look for your own table and then get booted not easy. The parking lot is very challenging too. The service is always great and fast! There is regular seating, seating in the bar and outside patio seating. Margaritas are a must here! We did take out this round. The food was packaged properly and complete. The basket of tacos is an all time favorite of ours. The Fundido delicious. The hot sauce comes in only a pint size. I'm really bummed the past two times I have ordered from Luna, the food has been subpar. I don't know what is going on there. I used to be able to get my favorite dishes there just loaded with all the goodies and now it's like they've cut everything in half and everything is dry overcooked. And it is unfortunate. I used to love this place so I hope that they do better in the future because their food used to be so good and I used to crave their red chili and now I have scratched it off of my list of restaurants to order out from. Life is expensive and gout just seems to be getting more expensive and more expensive to get subpar food, knowing that it used to be so good makes me sad. read more

I have been coming here for the last few weeks since Si Senior has been closed. The first time was okay, but the service was not great. The previous time was not fun due to screaming children, and the food tasted off. This week I took my Mom in for lunch a couple of days before Christmas. The service was better this time, but I found a hair in the hot sauce, and yet another in my bean. While eating the second half of my Fundito the next day I see yet another hair in the cheese on top. I'll be looking for another New Mexican food restaurant until Si Senior returns, if they do. read more

I love the food at Valle Luna. Consistently good. I do however like the one on cave creek better than the one on west bell.

Let's start with the bad. The restroom had no paper towels to dry your hands. The restroom was disheveled and messy. Our server acted as though we kicked her dog. Seemed annoyed that anybody wanted to eat there. The crispy ground beef taco had zero flavor and was a soggy wet mess. Yuck! We never got refills on our drinks or the chips. Refried beans on both of our plates were a dry crusty mess. Double yuck. The good. We got a water view seat. But in Az I'll take it! Husband got the Sonoran steak and he loved it. My cheese enchilada with red sauce was fantastic! Maybe one of the best I've ever had. When I try a New Mexican restaurant I always get an enchilada and crispy taco with rice and beans. Our server was exceptional, positive and attentive. Flies were thick inside, pigeons numerous outside; did not set a good tone waving flies away throughout our meal. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth $20+tip per person for lunch. It was concerning that the restaurant feels it necessary to charge the good part of $1 for a condiment consisting of 2 tablespoons of jalapenos. This was a business lunch and I felt these issues distracted from our meal, productivity and goals. I definitely won't be going back. I absolutely enjoyed my experience at Valle Luna. It has been over nine years since I was last year and not much has changed--which is a good thing! Same great quality of food and service! I love that they still have lunch specials until 3 pm! I had the spinach enchilada with black and refried beans. The enchilada was stuffed with potatoes, tomatoes, cheese, and topped with a green sauce. Wow! I got completely stuffed off of that, as well as the chips and salsa that came before it. I highly recommend mixing the tomatoe filled chunky salsa with the red pepper one. The balance of the heat, tomatoes, and green onions is super satisfying! Minus one star for the cheese filled beans--they were great, but the cheese was a little overwhelming that I couldn't really taste the beans! Otherwise, everything else was awesome. My server and the staff were so kind and welcoming. I could literally sit here all day and watch the lake, listen to the music, and chill! read more

It includes breakfast items served until noon and all day drink and food specials. The bar area is a good size area and has a fun and festive decor. As soon as we sat down water, chips, and salsa were brought to the table. The chips were fresh and crispy. They have two salsas, mild and spicy. The spicy at first does not seem spicy but it definitely has a kick. They have a few food items and drinks special. I got the 1/2 basket tacos, Kelly's dip, and a mimosa. The tacos are hard shell tacos, include 3 tacos and were really good. Kelly's dip is a spinach dip with queso. It had a kick and was delicious. I would go back just for the dip. I felt the prices were reasonable and I would definitely go back and try more of their food. read more
