Came here with my mom and we really enjoyed it. The place is decorated well and food was great. It came out super quick and the staff couldn't have been nicer. I'd recommend to anyone!

I saw this place on Instagram and said this was a must try for me !! Vallarta is located in a strip mall so parking is definitely NOT a problem. When you walk in you'll notice the colorful tables, the artwork and the neon signage on the walls which gave it a modern "hip" vibe. My go to is usually a burrito bowl which is what I got. The bowl had a generous portion of chicken that was super flavorful. If you want more spice , like me , they have a good selection of hot sauces to choose from. I also got to try the streak tacos. Again, the meat was packed with flavor !!! Not pictured , but the queso was gooey hot paired perfectly with homemade chips that had a strong crunch to them. I had to take the chocoflan to go no question , it was a great dessert for later.

The new Vallarta Tacos and Burritos finally opened in the Rockingham Plaza. They are the same group that has the Vallarta restaurant in West Manchester which we really like. This restaurant is more of a order at the counter - with simple menu of tacos, burritos, nachos, flautas, burritto bowls and plates. Today was the grand opening and they had many staff on site helping. The space is large and very well decorated with bright colors and cool artwork (see photos). I had a burritio bowl which chicken, black beans and veggies. ALso had a side of guac and house made tortilla chips. The bowl was filled to the top with rice, beans, chicken, pico, cheese, sour cream and cooked peppers and onions. It was really good but it was not hot. Only mildly warm at best. The chips where really good. They needed salt but were nice and thick and fresh and crispy. Perfect for scooping the guac. I am so very happy that Vallarta opened up here. Just a few years ago there was no places in Salem to get a burrito. Now we have a few choice places.

Very much enjoyed my burrito bowl. Flavors were on point and authentic. Decor and music were cool.

This was our first time here, but it won't be our last! The food is amazing, the staff friendly and you feel like you're in a little restaurant in Mexico. Everything is warm and welcoming. Please try this restaurant for yourself!

Foods so good, they hand press their tortilla, i never like corn tortilla until now. Music is low enough that you can talk to others but loud enough to tune them out too lol. If it turned a bit down i would it better. The only thing that i do t like is everything is a to go co tainer even you eat in. No service its like a freah fast food restaurant because you order, eat the throw ur left over in bun.

The steak taco was literally about 4 tiny pieces of steak, mind you they were dry.. Worth mentioning it was $7 for their marinated coke-cola steak. Ordered nachos and cheese wasn't even melted plus also cold. I knew the food would be bad once i saw how quick the dasher picked up the food; it's def not fresh. Also everything came in wayyy too many cardboard bags. Felt like there more focused on presentation than quality. Def better Mexican (authentic) options in Haverhill especially considering how overpriced it was

First of all, let's talk about the Jarritos( Mexican soda) if you are going to serve them room temperature, please serve them alongside a glass of ice. Just in case we need it cold. Also, your green goddess tortilla is not as good as it used to be. It seemed to not have the same bond it used to have. I felt like they just put the hard and soft tortilla together, without adding the queso and guacamole. Overall, the place is clean, and the staff is great. I just am not sure of who is cooking the food not. The "Hero of the Land" taco was pretty good. I would order that again.

I'm honestly surprised by all the good reviews, do y'all not have tastebuds?…read more I love tacos. Love is an understatement. This was so off putting I refused to finish a taco out of my 3 taco meal. Played it safe, got the ground beef. The taco was greasy despite having the double tortilla layer which it had soaked through. The taco meat was very bland and there was a funky sweet taste to it, maybe because of the chipotle aioli? No cheese. No hot sauce. Between the texture and the taste, there was no way I was able to get past a couple bites. I thought the chips and salsa would be my saving grace, however there was zero salt on the chips and the salsa was just their pico de gallo. The pico was super watery and tasted like bland tomato water. No salt or flavor in there either. In addition, you can get a pretty good idea about a place's cleanliness based off what you can see going on in the kitchen. The cook was wearing gloves while scrolling on his/a phone and didn't change those gloves to make our food. Additionally, he went to the restroom with the gloves on and while he wasn't wearing by them when he came out, but it wasn't long enough thoroughly wash your hands. The staff were sitting on the stainless steel counters where meal prep is done. Just not a place I feel comfortable eating.

A lot of places double up on the tortillas for this reason, but no need here. We ordered the birria, carnitas, and cabeza tacos, chicken sopes, beans, rice, sweet plantains, sweet rice pudding and horchata. Standouts were the carnitas and cabeza for me - very delicious in their simplicity, the meat is seasoned and cooked to perfection. Birria was also very good but overhyped IMO (novelty factor). The chicken sopes were way bigger than expected, could easily be a meal on its own and the masa tart was pretty good. Our table liked the green sauce to add zip to the food. It was very sunny when we went, so it was blinding and hot to be sitting inside, hope they install a shade at some point. They seem to only serve in takeout containers, so eating at a table requires getting a bit creative for a "plate" etc. There's a small lot behind the building and street parking is pretty easy. I will definitely be returning to try the lengua and more things next time!

We got the carne asade and chicken taco especial, the hibiscus tea, and churros! The tacos were delish! I usually opt for flour tortillas, however they make their corn tortillas and they are the soft ones, so I wanted to try it as it comes - I was not disappointed! The tacos come in 4 to a meal, so we so split two and two. Naturally, I prefer steak but both the chicken and steak were phenomenal. Lots of flavor!! The taco especial, has onions and cilantro and a nice lime squeeze on the side that is a nice flavor burst and addition. If you want the lettuce, cheese, tomato, etc. then you want the americano version. The tacos come with two sauces, both of which were spicy but you can tell were made/fresh! But that hibiscus tea - wow!! So delish! It was sweet and flavorful and a sip of freshness!! The churros were also incredible. Not that I didn't think I'd like the dulce de leche filling but it was um-yes yum! The outside was nice and crispy obv coated in cinnamon and sugar and then the inside was soft and doughy but not raw dough, just perfection. The dipping sauce was excellent too - they could provide a little bit more of it but we made it work. Anyways, highly recommend. It's fresh and authentic- clearly homemade with good ingredients!! Can't wait to try more from the menu!
