They were fairly busy, even on a rainy Sunday, so I had to wait for a bit. I looked around the store, which was fairly small, and didn't see any golf shoes. When I finally got some help from a clerk, I was informed that they had sent all their golf stock to Maui, and didn't have any available. They were very helpful in taking my shoes in for a refund, and then let me know that the Waikele location has lots of golf shoes in stock, so I'll head over there later to pick up a replacement pair.

I went to return a pair I bought online. Fortunately for me Jayden was in the cash wrap to assist me. He very professionally and politely handled my return. When he was done, he continued to assist me with finding shoes. He gave me info and suggestions and there was no hesitation in allowing me to try on various styles. I wish I had. Better feet because I feel really bad when the shoes don't fit but I'm determined to find the right shoe. I found out Brent is the young manager who is getting the crew moving. He was also very professional and took the time to mention that they were having some nice promotions, 20% off lots of things besides the shoes, great value. Skechers has a really HUGE and stylish selection... many performance as well as fashion shoes... and clothes. I've been told by my pickle ball friend that they have great pickleball shoes! Yes, I bought several more pairs and I will be back. When I entered, the store was empty. Two young men were standing there... neither of them said anything. I called out to them "excuse me, can you tell me which of these are good for walking". In guy pointed and said "the ones there on the wall". I couldn't really tell what he was referring to so I asked again. Seriously, I had to ask them each time I wanted to see a shoe. One young man would get the shoe from the back and drop it off, then return to the cashwrap and stare out the door. I tried to engage them by asking questions and received short curt answers It was like pulling teeth! The shoes were actually pretty comfortable but I did not feel motivated to purchase from the store at all. I decided that I'd just order the shoes online since that's the level of service anyway. I'm really shocked and disappointed with the level of service at the sketchers store. I will say, the young girl seem d to be making some effort to help customers. I can see why folks love these sandals, as it's very comfortable, durable, and if the sandals get wet, it dries quickly without any smelly oder. The Croc sandals are pretty pricy, but worth every penny, as its truly a quality footwear. I have purchased a generic "Croc" type sandal from Daiso, but comparing the two sandals side by side, hands down the original Crocs will always get the nod, as it's truly a quality product.

Passing by the Crocs store on the lower level of the mall, near Center Stage, we had to go inside... Right away, Irene M. showed me a set of Line Friends Jibbitz. OMG... That Cony bunny... I HAD to get her... and Brown, Choco, and Sally... Malia is another "bad influence". She is the very friendly, helpful cashier. She encouraged me to get the Line Friends Jibbitz. LOL... lemme think about it... But, in my mind, I was planning to put the Cony Jibbitz on my pair of Crocs at home! Gosh... I like the Crocs brand in general. My mom is into fashions that show off the great designs that appear on a Japanese kimono and obi. So, it was really cool to finally visit Montsuki. A less well known local designer along the lines of Anne Namba (http://www.yelp.com/biz/anne-namba-designs-inc-honolulu ), the Yamasaki's have been custom designing kimono inspired clothing and accessories for years. I finally met Patty and she was very nice. Hearing all the stories from my mom and friend's mothers, I was interested to see what kind of stuff she had. Much of her clothing is quite elegant, I guess that's mainly a result of using kimono textiles as your base canvas. It's all very intricate and well made. She does quite a bit of custom work also seeing as she made a beautiful dress for my friend's mother. She sells everything from dresses, tops, jackets, purses, and if she doesn't have it, you can probably have her make one for you. Anyway, you've probably driven past this small boutique and not even known it. It's located right on Koko Head Avenue (close to the corner near Waialae Avenue). Go upstairs to a small hallway, you can actually see the sign from the street. Parking is in the metered lot behind.

As soon as I walk past the door man, I am approached by an older Asian woman who asks us if we were looking for something. I say I'm just looking for now since I saw a purse that caught my eye before making it to the dress racks. I proceed to run my finger over the fur covered purse and ask the woman what it's made of. She curtly says, "it's fur." Her tone-of-voice sounded annoyed and that I was an inconvenience to her. I'm thinking, "No shit, it's fur! I'd hope it wouldn't be synthetic if it cost $2000+!!!" I make my way over to the dresses and found one similar to the one I saw online... However, I asked the same woman (who was now following me around) if they had the style I wanted, as I showed her my phone screen. She barely looks at it and says, "no." Geez, how helpful. Now I'm annoyed at this point... not because they didn't have the style dress I was looking for, but because of this woman's attitude! I should probably mention, I was dressed down in my Pokemon attire. I've had my fair share of past retail jobs, so I know I was probably being judged. But seriously!! At least pretend to be nice and try not to judge a book by it's cover. Also, I'm not a millionaire, but I sure as hell can afford my designer taste. I've been in this store before. I'll probably go checkout the Waikiki location.

This Ala Moana Center location is on the third level near Target and the outdoor playground area as the numerous times I've been here I just couldn't believe that I haven't given them a review yet...it's the retail therapy working which it certainly does and the staff here is a delight to inform you of the sales/specials they have along with the many different items you may be looking for. The discounted/sale items are found in the back near the checkout counter though what got me on this visit are their charms and to see them strung on shoes was the cutest thing I've seen since I'm not really a Croc wearer this is a cute alternative item. Lots of totes and accessories are found here as well and since it's the only shop on the island getting that item is easier as I'm a touchy feely kinda shopper. Thank you!
