I was really excited to try this salon because of all the amazing reviews, but I left feeling extremely disappointed. First, I had to pay a $50 deposit just to secure the appointment. I even arrived early, but my appointment didn't actually start until 15 minutes after the scheduled time. The technician who did my nails was not welcoming at all--she didn't introduce herself and didn't communicate with me throughout the entire appointment. While working on my nails, she cut or nicked me multiple times. I made it clear that it hurt, but she didn't acknowledge it or apologize once. There was a complete lack of care and professionalism. When the appointment ended, I honestly didn't even realize it was over because no one communicated anything to me, I was just walked over to the register. I was then charged $100, even though I had already paid the $50 deposit. When I called to ask about it, I was told the extra charge was for "fixes" and additional services that were never explained or approved by me. I left without a "goodbye" or "thank you for coming." Very cold and hostile service. The person I spoke to (who I believe is the owner) barely apologized and said the deposit would be refunded. I was told I'd receive an email confirmation, but I never did, and I still haven't seen the refund. I also followed up again regarding the refund and still received no response. I've been to many nail salons, and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

The vibe was very relaxing, I received a Russian manicure as well as a pedicure, almost fell asleep. Top quality, five stars

My daughter and I came here for the first time because they were one of the only nail shops open late and they were able to take us at 7 PM. We were actually excited and happy that they could accommodate both of us at the same time. I really liked how my nails turned out. My technician did a good job and I was happy with the way she finished them. I'm sorry I forgot to ask her name. But I have to say, the experience was a little different for my daughter. Her technician was a cute, skinny lady, but unfortunately my daughter felt that she wasn't very professional. While doing her nails, she was on her phone and talking a lot. She also kept talking to the owner, who was on the other side of the salon. From the time the owner arrived, they were talking back and forth quite a bit while my daughter was still getting her nails done. It made my daughter feel like the technician wasn't really focused on her. We also noticed there was no warm towel to clean our hands, and when the service was finished, there was no "thank you" or anything. They just stood up after finishing. I'm happy with my own nails, but I think the customer service could definitely be better. Even just greeting customers when they come in, introducing themselves, being a little more attentive, and saying thank you at the end would make a big difference. Hopefully they take this as constructive feedback because I think the salon has potential, and we would have enjoyed the experience more with better customer service. by the way my technician is the lady wearing glasses. First Russian pedicure experience! Anastasia did an absolutely meticulous and beautiful job getting by my feet BTS Arirang concert-ready (iykyk). Mimi took care of husband with men's pedicure including "cracked skin treatment." He says his toes have never looked better. This will be our go-to place from now on. Everyone was very professional and took the time to make things perfect. Thank you so much. read more

My good friend referred me here and I'm so glad she did. I'm very picky about my manicures and have tried a lot of places around the Bay Area--this was my first Russian manicure and it was totally worth it. I've seen both Anita and Julia and they were both amazing: super professional, detail-oriented, and never rushed. They checked in multiple times to make sure I was happy with the shape and color. The space is clean, quiet, and they even offer tea and coffee. It is a higher price point, but my manicures last 1-2 weeks longer than other salons, so it's well worth it in my opinion. Highly recommend if you care about quality and longevity. read more

I had the best manicure four days ago and I am still in awe at my beautiful nails! The service was professional with such attention to detail. It took about 2 hours (I had dip on so not sure if that contributed) but I loved every minute and the result is outstanding. Highly recommend and I will go back. Also, when the tech noticed I was not loving my color she helped me pivot and get the right color for me. Not all places would do this. read more

So good high quality and best service ever! Free snacks all day yummy !!!!! I just did a walk-in in

5 stars for friendly and accommodating service, extremely clean salon and high quality pedi! This was my first experience getting a Russian pedi and it was a game changer! I love that you don't have to soak in water, but they do give your feet a nice wash and sea salt scrub. They also use some sort of exfoliating skin brush instead of the pumice scrub which I loved! they use tools i've never seen before at your standard nail salon! I was impressed at the precision that went into my service. The price point is almost double of a "regular" pedi- but worth it IMO. All of the products I saw being used were made with all natural ingredients. They also have online booking which is great! read more

I've been getting my nails done here for about 6 months and each time they are perfect. Structured gel lasts about 3 weeks for me and never cracks or chips. The attention to detail and cuticle work here is so so good. I've gone to a few techs and they're all great, but Adina is my favorite. read more

All the nail techs are amazing. I had a nail unexpectedly chip a few days after my initial appt - I reached out & they fixed my whole set same day at no additional charge. I appreciate their dedication to good, quality manicures that last! Thank you Vale Nails read more

Always consistent quality, nice environment, and availability options that are workable. Coffee and chocolates are a nice touch.

It's been 2 weeks and my nails are still amazing! I had the polygel extension which I've not had before but it's so much better than tips. Typically I have problems with tips breaking off. I also did the French manicure and it's done very well, tips painted on where I requested and uniform across all the nails. I'm very impressed and will be back! I've included a picture and note this is TWO weeks after! read more

My first time getting a manicure that cleaned up my cuticles so nicely! I opted for the gel pedicure and gel manicure. With the manicure I noticed that they were actually placing a gel base on my nails and "gel construction" to shape some of my nails that had less nail to work with. This is great because my pointer fingernails don't grow naturally square like some of my other nails. read more

My first choice to do beautiful pedicure, amazing eyelashes and great eyebrow shape and lami. I did eyelashes and pedicure simultaneously and it is super comfortable- I just slept for 2 hours and wake up with a pedicure and great eyelashes - very comfortable. I did my eyebrows as a separate appointment and super satisfied with a result - lamination, shape and tint , it looks like I have a new face. Thank you so much for this level of comfort and great atmosphere. read more

I've been to Vale Nails a couple of times in the past, but for the last year, I had been seeing someone who used to work there. Unfortunately, her prices skyrocketed, so I found myself back at Vale--and I'm so glad I scheduled a Russian Gel Manicure with Zamira. I'm the kind of person who doesn't talk much during a manicure or pedicure. I talk enough at work, so being able to sit quietly and listen to a podcast for almost an hour and a half was honestly perfect for me. Zamira was respectful of that, which I appreciated. For anyone who prefers a more chatty appointment, I'd recommend calling ahead to ask which technicians are more conversational. I've seen one or two techs in the past who also kept things quiet--it seems to be more of a cultural thing, which I personally don't mind at all. I was greeted right away and offered water, coffee, or tea. The service was prompt and professional, and I left with a simple single-color manicure in a soft pink that I love for its clean, understated look. Best place to get your nails done if you want perfect cuticles and nails! read more

First time trying Vale and I'm very happy with my mani and pedi, my heels are so soft. Marina did the majority of my pedicure and Mimi finished it. Mimi and Tiffany also squeezed in a manicure last minute and were fast, accommodating and detailed. All three ladies were very nice and clearly experienced. I'd definitely come back to any of them for my nails. Only docking a point because of the younger techs (not working on my nails) and the amount they were talking about the customers in Russian. They obviously didn't realize I understood them and would suggest that they're mindful of that in the future. read more

I got a Russian gel manicure and I am so in love with the results. My tech did such a great job. She took her time and made sure everything was precise. My nails were a hot mess when I arrived. You can tell this place takes pride in taking sanitary precautions. The items used for the drills and scissors were from a fresh pack. They also offer you something to drink (coffee/tea) which I think is so thoughtful. The salon is very spacious and they even have Netflix on the TV for you! read more

I have been going to Vale Nails since they opened in Belmont. They do quality work every single time, and when I have an issue they fix it without any fuss. The salon is clean and well maintained, the front desk staff is always very welcoming and flexible to work with my last minute changes or requests. Zamira is a standout tech for me, I know that I have a design I want she will bring it to life. I love going here and its my monthly splurge. read more

My first ever Russian (or e-file / dry) manicure looked great at first, but started peeling and chipping within 2 weeks :( The salon itself is located in a strip mall with a good amount of parking. Inside is clean and spacious. They have a TV playing music videos. I believe the manager (Katerine) did my gel manicure. A Russian manicure uses electric files to clean the cuticles and then the cuticles are carefully cut off. The process usually takes around 2 hours. My manicurist was very meticulous! I showed her a pastel flower design I wanted and she was very patient when I was choosing all the different colors. I believe the regular price for a gel manicure was $90, but they were offering 40% off for first time customers. Then they added $1 per drawing ($20 for my design because I got 2 flowers on each nail). After the discount and tip, I paid over $80. This brings me to my next point. I was initially happy with the quality of my mani. However, the polish on my right hand started lifting and chipping only 2 weeks after. My job is not rough on the hands at all, so I was disappointed at the quality. If I'm paying almost $100 for a mani, I would expect my gel mani to last at least a month. Maybe this was just an exception and most of their other customers' manis last longer. However, I do not plan on returning unfortunately. read more

Vale Nails - 2 weeks after gel manicure (polish lifted and chipped on 2 fingers of right hand) - Nail Salons Near Me - Belmont, California

Finally a place on the Peninsula that offers this type of mani/pedi! I've been looking for about a year now. I used to drive to Fremont for my appts but it was too far and time consuming. So glad I found Vale! I was a few minutes early for my appt and was greeted by the front desk and also Sveta. My appt was for mani with gel. I asked for chrome and she suggested a pink base. During the appt, she kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable. They even offer drinks such as water, coffee, tea and wine! I'm so glad they offered something hot to drink as I'm always cold. (At the other salon, they only offered cold drinks and laughed when I asked for tea.) The manicure turned out beautiful. I couldn't stop looking at the detailed manicure. I booked two more appts as soon as I got home! read more

First time having a Russian pedicure, and it did not disappoint! My feet have never looked nor felt felt so beautiful and smooth!

First time getting a Russian pedicure and it's great. Didn't know what to expect and it did hurt a bit since I have sensitive cuticles, but my pedicure lasted over 6 weeks! About 5 weeks is when it was noticeable it was growing out but wow. I haven't had anything last that long and it didn't chip/lift. The nail techs there know what they are doing. Definitely a great spot especially if you're heading on vacation! read more

I was hoping for a really different nice experience - sadly I feel like I overpaid for mediocre work. The big huge lounge chairs are soft and great if you want to take a nap - bit it was too huge for 2 people simultaneously working on your pedi snd mani. I was in a contorted position most of the time with my knees practically up to my chin for the technicisn doing the toes; and the technician doing my nails constantly having to take my my arms to her further to the right I thought my left arm was going to come out of my shoulder. It was uncomfortable and so not relaxing! Then the UV lamp easn't working for my nails and I tried to tell the young lady but she didn't seem to get it until towards the end when the polish was messed up her colleague found the gel didn't "gel" so she had to redo all of the left hand and part of the right! So I was there far longer than I expected with my arms stretched out to the side. So now I'm unhappy because I paid $200 for an unhappy experience. Back to sesrching for a really good nail salon. read more

Amazing experience from start to finish. I never knew how beautiful a Russian manicure could look and feel. I had been wanting to try a Russian style manicure for a while after seeing how good they were online. It did take a while ~around 2.5 hours but I felt taken care of and well treated the entire time. I was able to make a same day appointment on a Friday in the evening and was treated with several types nice dark chocolates, tea, and white wine. I chose a blue gel from their choices and was not rushed to choose a color. They had a vacuum which collected dust when they were filing which I really appreciated and they were extremely detail oriented and fixed two nails of mine that were starting to break at the tips. Shop was kept very clean and orderly also. The service all was around $120 including tip. I work a food service job that really puts my nails to the test, so I may update this review if needed but so far they still look great. Yes it was expensive, but it was the best manicure I've ever had and I see myself returning when I feel the need to treat myself. I am in love with how they have held up, and I've received so many compliments on them so far. read more
