I was really excited to try this salon because of all the amazing reviews, but I left feeling extremely disappointed. First, I had to pay a $50 deposit just to secure the appointment. I even arrived early, but my appointment didn't actually start until 15 minutes after the scheduled time. The technician who did my nails was not welcoming at all--she didn't introduce herself and didn't communicate with me throughout the entire appointment. While working on my nails, she cut or nicked me multiple times. I made it clear that it hurt, but she didn't acknowledge it or apologize once. There was a complete lack of care and professionalism. When the appointment ended, I honestly didn't even realize it was over because no one communicated anything to me, I was just walked over to the register. I was then charged $100, even though I had already paid the $50 deposit. When I called to ask about it, I was told the extra charge was for "fixes" and additional services that were never explained or approved by me. I left without a "goodbye" or "thank you for coming." Very cold and hostile service. The person I spoke to (who I believe is the owner) barely apologized and said the deposit would be refunded. I was told I'd receive an email confirmation, but I never did, and I still haven't seen the refund. I also followed up again regarding the refund and still received no response. I've been to many nail salons, and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

I had the best manicure four days ago and I am still in awe at my beautiful nails! The service was professional with such attention to detail. It took about 2 hours (I had dip on so not sure if that contributed) but I loved every minute and the result is outstanding. Highly recommend and I will go back. I've seen both Anita and Julia and they were both amazing: super professional, detail-oriented, and never rushed. They checked in multiple times to make sure I was happy with the shape and color. The space is clean, quiet, and they even offer tea and coffee. It is a higher price point, but my manicures last 1-2 weeks longer than other salons, so it's well worth it in my opinion. 5 stars for friendly and accommodating service, extremely clean salon and high quality pedi! This was my first experience getting a Russian pedi and it was a game changer! I love that you don't have to soak in water, but they do give your feet a nice wash and sea salt scrub. They also use some sort of exfoliating skin brush instead of the pumice scrub which I loved! they use tools i've never seen before at your standard nail salon! I was impressed at the precision that went into my service. The price point is almost double of a "regular" pedi- but worth it IMO. All of the products I saw being used were made with all natural ingredients. They also have online booking which is great! read more

It's been 2 weeks and my nails are still amazing! I had the polygel extension which I've not had before but it's so much better than tips. Typically I have problems with tips breaking off. I also did the French manicure and it's done very well, tips painted on where I requested and uniform across all the nails. I'm very impressed and will be back! First time trying Vale and I'm very happy with my mani and pedi, my heels are so soft. Marina did the majority of my pedicure and Mimi finished it. Mimi and Tiffany also squeezed in a manicure last minute and were fast, accommodating and detailed. All three ladies were very nice and clearly experienced. I'd definitely come back to any of them for my nails. Only docking a point because of the younger techs (not working on my nails) and the amount they were talking about the customers in Russian. My first ever Russian (or e-file / dry) manicure looked great at first, but started peeling and chipping within 2 weeks :( The salon itself is located in a strip mall with a good amount of parking. Inside is clean and spacious. They have a TV playing music videos. I believe the manager (Katerine) did my gel manicure. A Russian manicure uses electric files to clean the cuticles and then the cuticles are carefully cut off. The process usually takes around 2 hours. My manicurist was very meticulous! I showed her a pastel flower design I wanted and she was very patient when I was choosing all the different colors. I believe the regular price for a gel manicure was $90, but they were offering 40% off for first time customers. Then they added $1 per drawing ($20 for my design because I got 2 flowers on each nail). After the discount and tip, I paid over $80. This brings me to my next point. I was initially happy with the quality of my mani. However, the polish on my right hand started lifting and chipping only 2 weeks after. My job is not rough on the hands at all, so I was disappointed at the quality. If I'm paying almost $100 for a mani, I would expect my gel mani to last at least a month. Maybe this was just an exception and most of their other customers' manis last longer. However, I do not plan on returning unfortunately. read more

So glad I found Vale! I was a few minutes early for my appt and was greeted by the front desk and also Sveta. My appt was for mani with gel. I asked for chrome and she suggested a pink base. During the appt, she kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable. They even offer drinks such as water, coffee, tea and wine! I'm so glad they offered something hot to drink as I'm always cold. (At the other salon, they only offered cold drinks and laughed when I asked for tea.) The manicure turned out beautiful. I couldn't stop looking at the detailed manicure. I was hoping for a really different nice experience - sadly I feel like I overpaid for mediocre work. The big huge lounge chairs are soft and great if you want to take a nap - bit it was too huge for 2 people simultaneously working on your pedi snd mani. I was in a contorted position most of the time with my knees practically up to my chin for the technicisn doing the toes; and the technician doing my nails constantly having to take my my arms to her further to the right I thought my left arm was going to come out of my shoulder. It was uncomfortable and so not relaxing! Then the UV lamp easn't working for my nails and I tried to tell the young lady but she didn't seem to get it until towards the end when the polish was messed up her colleague found the gel didn't "gel" so she had to redo all of the left hand and part of the right! So I was there far longer than I expected with my arms stretched out to the side. So now I'm unhappy because I paid $200 for an unhappy experience. I had been wanting to try a Russian style manicure for a while after seeing how good they were online. It did take a while ~around 2.5 hours but I felt taken care of and well treated the entire time. I was able to make a same day appointment on a Friday in the evening and was treated with several types nice dark chocolates, tea, and white wine. I chose a blue gel from their choices and was not rushed to choose a color. They had a vacuum which collected dust when they were filing which I really appreciated and they were extremely detail oriented and fixed two nails of mine that were starting to break at the tips. Shop was kept very clean and orderly also. The service all was around $120 including tip. I work a food service job that really puts my nails to the test, so I may update this review if needed but so far they still look great. Yes it was expensive, but it was the best manicure I've ever had and I see myself returning when I feel the need to treat myself.
