Long story short, my previous nail tech cancelled on me last minute. I got super lucky after reaching out to Lush Lyfe and they booked me the next day! Kiet is super detailed with his work. The perfect shaping, the creative freestyle designs, and his kind hospitality makes me want to keep coming back here. He doesn't charge for extra length and goes above & beyond with the designs. I'm very picky when it comes to nails, but this salon is on top with the latest trends. I've seen pictures of Lan and Tiana's work, and they both do a consistently excellent job too. Lastly, I also got an acrylic pedicure by Kim and she did an awesome job! The price is worth it. I seriously can't stop looking at my nails because they are so perfect!! I had a great experience with Lan today. She was able to help me with exactly what I wanted (a gel x set with ombré color) with short notice. I love Kiet but I gave this shop way too many chances, From them Fighting in the salon, throwing things while I was pregnant to overcharging me for a plain nail design This past weekend I went in for my regular appointment with the intentions of getting treated like a loyal customer but nope my nails came out horrible- I never get square and he applied it- the acrylic was hella thick for no reason the shape wasn't filed right at all as you can see in the picture and when I came back to change the color they didn't even knowledge that maybe a different hand design with different colors would work like it was bad customer service I'm really sad to go from here but I shouldn't get treated like that at all with the amount of money I spend that's why I didn't tip P.S the funny below is the owners girlfriend lol look how they take it as a joke smh they ain't professional at all read more

Wow, I think I have found my new go-to nail tech! I heard about Kiet from one of my good friends who always gets her nails done by him and they always look on point. My birthday is coming up so I wanted to make sure they were POPPIN'. She helped me book an appt since he is appointment only but lemme just say that he's worth the time and money. I came in with a horrendous crooked set from a different shop and he did me a favor by fixing my nails. He took his time with me throughout the whole appointment (2 hours) and explained everything he was doing step by step. His work is powder only and it's pretty nice and clean compared to the usual work I get done from other shops. I know that reviews are important to a small business and don't want to ever mess with anyone's livelihood, however, Kiet has a strong following and lots of positive reviews. Therefore, I don't think my review will really tip the scales unfavorably. I've been to Kiet twice. The first time, he double booked and I waited just over an hour to get my nails done. I was really excited about his work and positive reviews so I decided to wait around. Finally when it was my turn I felt rushed, there were other people waiting, I got a plain, one color set. No designs, no pretty stones, just polish. My nails were nice, the shape was what I wanted and the color was pretty. However, nothing special, not his fault entirely. The second time I went to Kiet's, was for my friend's birthday. She wanted the crystals, the powders, glitters, everything you see in the photos on instagram and yelp. We booked our appointment at 10am, Kiet arrived around 10:30am. I felt my gut telling me to leave because of my past experience but we werent there for me afterall and my friend was really excited. I spent a little under $200 total and my friend was really happy with her nails! Less than 24 hours later, two nails came off, completely, and the crystals began falling off. I texted Kiet the photos and he said we could come back and get them fixed. I thought, awesome! We showed up and he was really busy. I know, it was my bad for not confirming we would be stopping by. However, his attitude was terrible. I see from other 1 star reviews he takes a "If you don't like it take your business elsewhere approach" which, we will! Many of my friends are business owners so I know it's tough when someone is unhappy or comes back for services that are not going to be paid for, fixing nails is time and materials and no compensation, I get it! But when someone spends that much money only for your products to fail so quickly you should be more understanding. When we left we said thank you, we even wished him a happy birthday as he mentioned it was his birthday soon, he didn't even look up or say a word. While we were there he also started talking about someone who had been recently fired to customers. My professional background requires me to be savvy in HR so I won't go into detail but it was extremely unprofessional and made me cringe. I'm really disappointed that although the nails looked great they didn't even last a week. I guess everyone's nail beds must be different, but I saw a few other reviews that had the same experience. I don't expect a different reply from what I've seen on other 1 star reviews from Kiet, but I feel that I needed to be honest about my experience and the amount of money spent here. For the TLDR folks: After one week all of my friends nails on one hand popped off as if they were press on's and she had 3 remaining on the other hand. Kiet books appointments too close together and is forever running behind and customers are waiting around. He has a bad attitude when approached about dissatisfaction. First of all, idk why there is hella bad reviews, but my experience was great and fun. This was my first time getting my nails done by kiet and I'm in LOVE with my set. Kiet is super friendly and talkative! You won't be in that seat in silence, which I think is nice because majority of my nail techs never had the interest in talking to me.. or to any of their clients. During my appt he gave me a run down of what he was doing and using--which was a plus. He's not the type to throw unnecessary bs when doing your nails. Really straight forward and upfront with his work. He takes credit of his work and if something goes wrong with your nails within 3 days of after geting your set, he will accommodate you--no questions asked. As far as how my nails are doing--IM IN LOVE!! The shape, detail, and precision of my nails are on point. I'll give an updated review with the longevity and quality of the products. Don't assume I'm going to be cool with your infringement on my time...that's what made me leave the shop before you. I asked him when I should schedule my next appointment; he tells me to hit him up after January 2nd. I do, & what happens? No reply...but he's kehawing on IG...HMMM...which part exactly are YOU mad at - that I called you out on being rude, or that I refused to allow you to pass me off to your new hire (who, by the way, worked at my old shop; if she didn't do my nails there, you thought it was different at your shop because...?!). The owners girlfriend is awful. She is disrespectful and ill-mannered. As a first time customer pretty excited going after viewing the beautiful pictures on thier site, I was looking forward to a good experience. A loved one had recently passed and I needed my nails to be done before the viewing and funeral. I walked in and the Kiet's girlfriend yelled at me, she yelled for me to, "Go stand outside!" Now, I wouldn't have walked in, if she or he- someone who worked there told me over the phone that I needed to stand outside first, so they could take my temperature. I had my mask on. The girlfriend took my temperature with an attitude told Me to sit over there and fill out this sheet. Not explaining what it was. As I read the first sentence, I understood what I was filling out and signing. Already feeling uncomfortable, she asked me what I wanted, I showed her a picture from the site and politely explained how I would like the shape. She wasn't listening, I think she was mentally distracted because she didn't reply instead she was fidgeting with the items on her station. I repeated myself very politely with a friendly demeanor, she replied/murmured, "mhmm!" As if she was irritated. From here, I felt like getting up and leaving (which I should have). She started to glue the plastic nails on. I was confused because she was gluing on the pointed nails and not the rectangular. I had explained to her twice, I wanted a rectangular shape...so I ended up telling her a third time politely, I wanted a rectangular shape. She completely ignored me. I didnt feel right. She put on the acrilyc and started to file really hard, I said ouch a few times. Once she was done filing, I looked at my nails, they were pointy.. I told her I didn't want the nails a triangular pointy shape and that I always get the rectangular. I was very friendly about it dispite her unprofessionalism. This woman got up forcefully through the file at the work station started yelling at me in Vietnamese walked to the otherside of salon complaining. I was appalled! Keit came over sat down on her seat and told me it was ok. He asked me how I wanted my shape, so I told him as she was still yelling at me, but at this time, she started to point her finger at me. As Keit finished a nail, he asked me, if it looked better? The girlfriend started staring at me and heavily gasping for air. I told Kiet, I started to feel threatened. He said, I just going to stop. I said, ok! As I was gathering my purse, hat and car keys, I figured, the girlfriend is probably just having a really bad day, and I have to understand that. I told her, I hope she feels better and nodded my head out of respect since she wasn't able to see my smile behind the mask, she said, "Get out of here you B****". I ended up walking down the street to another Nail salon. They fixed my nails and I got a pdie. I told them everything that had happened. I was shocked when they told me, "Oh yeah, they (Kiet and the girlfriend) argue a lot! They No good!". I was warned from going there by my cousin and a friend. They both said, if I was going to go, to make sure I make an appointment with Kiet because the girlfriend isn't friendly...so half of my experience was my own fault for going anyway without having an appointment with Kiet, I settled for the girlfriend, I asked myself, well, how bad could it be? I was in for it!! Needless to say, I was treated unfairly. I am not only disgusted with the treatme I had to endure, but with the tantrum as well. That "woman" is shameless; inhuman vermin. Do yourself a favor and get your nails done here. I'd rate this 6/5 if I can. I LOVED IT. It was my first time and Lan (Kiet's gf) did my full set powder since Kiet was fully booked. Lan was AMAZING and sweet and very gentle. She definitely went beyond my expectations she made sure i chose the right color since they have a lot of options on their powder line. She took her time and spent more than an hour perfecting every step - putting on the powder and buffing, making sure my nails were even and smooth, and not too thick like bird claws. She even put some oil around my nails since my hands are very dry. Although their place was inside a small hair salon, they were very nice, funny, and welcoming. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. As a cosmo, they're supposed to cut the cuticles tiana didn't cut my cuticles nor applied cuticle oil .. I can't complain about my nails they were beautiful I loved the shape and size . He explains the whole process of how to get the perfect full set, something no other nail tech does (BIG PLUS!) also, all the full sets he does is all custom. No set that he does will ever be identical, which is very cool. Kiet is also known to do all powder no gel. Using all powder is beneficial bc it doesn't chip on you (I've tested this! It's a proven fact) Kiet also uses the best products possible, so you don't even have to worry about your nails breaking after a new days, these babies are nearly indestructible. Been a loyal customer of both Kiet and Lan for years, prior to them opening their shop. Always well taken care of by them. My nails always come out looking on point and nail shape is always flawless. When my nails were super long and I wanted really intricate designs, I would book with Kiet ( gel acrylic). But in the recent months, I've opted for short nails (no acrylic) and a more simple, classy style because of work, and I book with Lan ( i get the dip powder manicure, lasts longer than getting shellac gel polish). But Lan also does long acrylic nails too, and her designs are just as good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with booking with either Kiet or Lan.To me, both their work is always worth the money I pay. They were booked the whole day and even had to turn down walk ins which I appreciate because some places will take those and just mess up the schedule for the people who had an appt. all 4 manicurists were nice, talented and had a sense of humor. Be sure to bring change if you need to park in the meters. A full set ombré with 3 colors was $100 and they accept card and even allow you to tip on the card.
