I came in post Mothers Day with my boyfriend for a manicure. Im a florist and this floral holiday always leaves my hands dirty, dry and and in overall need of a refresh. I called and made a quick appointment, originally asking for a SOAK OFF and manicure, making it clear I wanted my nails and hands CLEAN. When I got there, I decided I wanted a simple acrylic set as well and let the guy know my updated request while again making it clear my main concern was my hands being cleaned and restored. Although my nails came out super cute and I loved the design, the process hurt. The nail file burned since it wad up too high, my nails werent soaked off they were peeled off and my cuticles were cut roughly at the end. My hands were not soaked not cuticles werent pushed back... my nails werent even brushed despite being noticeably black and dirty. He just peeled old nail off, filed residue off and instantly glued tips off. I let the tech know multiple times what I wanted, asked for him to clean my nails/hands BEFORE even applying tips/acrylic and was dismissed because "he is a professional and he does it his way" Theres still noticeable dirt on my cuticles and nail bed (I work with flowers, soil, foliage and sappy eucalyptus so it takes effort to get my nails clean), there was no lotion, hot towel or hand massage. Theres also dry glue and old polish under my nails. Theres design was nice, but experience was not at all what I wanted regardless of me clearly putting in request. My boyfriends nails also werent colored despite being charged $25. I chose to come to a professional nail salon rather than at hone nail tech since I thought they'd be more precise and attentive maybe next time, ill do half of their job and come in with prepped nails... Response to owner: my bfs nails were the last of my concern, no color is no biggie lol... the trip to the nail salon wasnt for him. My concern was exactly as you stated, I wanted the acrylic as an add on. I asked you more than once to clean my nails, including the second you grabbed the monomer brush. You were too focused on the nail design which I told you wasnt a big concern. I wouldve paid $70 for just hand massaging and scrubbing lol! Came here for a full acrylic set and left extremely happy! I made an appointment the day before and they were able to sit me down right away (best to come in the mornings). I showed him an inspiration pic and we worked together to pick the right colors/shapes. He was very detail oriented which I appreciated. I have given them two chances. The first time, I made a phone appointment , I had never been there before and it was raining out. I parked my car and I walked around the building in the pouring rain, in sandals ,because I didn't know where the salon was. There was a man smoking a cigarette outside. It turns out that the nail salon was where he was working, he did not say hello or anything or try to help me find the salon even though I had an appointment and he could see me walking around in the rain.. I was the only customer in the salon. He did an okay job on my nails-a full set, GELX , but he rough with me and rushed even though I was the only one in the salon . I also got a pedicure that was good. However, one hand of my GEL X nails was longer than the other and pointed it out to him before I left. He said, " when you come back I will fix it ": I tipped them both, $15 . I waited an entire month for my nails to grow out so that they could even them off next time I went i ln. Today, I went in again after a month, I made a phone appointment. I got a gel X fill, I asked him if I could get French manicure and he said no , I also explained to him that I grew out my nails because one side was longer and if I could keep the longer nails instead of cutting them short. I guess he didn't understand. . While I was getting a pedicure instead of doing my nails at the same time, even though I had made an appointment days before, he took someone that walked in instead of me, so when he finally got to my nails he was in a rush and did them in a hurry again and instead of keeping my request of keeping the length he cut them down short , he was also on his phone the whole time speaking in his language. . I tipped them $10 each, the male technician did not thank you or goodbye when I left I guess he was insulted with the low tip. Well, if you're not going to listen to me and you're going to Rush even though I made an appointment and treat me like crap I'm not going tip you more than $10, with his attitude he's lucky that he even got a tip. The male nail technician is mean, he doesn't listen, refuses requests, when there is a nail salon on every corner it is not worth it and he obviously doesn't care about retaining clientele. read more

Overall, I'm satisfied with what I got. I got seated right away, which was amazing. I got a pedicure with gel ($45) and a manicure with builder gel and simple design ($70). I really liked the pedicure. It was relaxing and clean. My manicure was good too. I felt like my nail tech was rushed because he had another client waiting and it reflected in mine and my cousin's manicure. Mine wasn't as clean as I liked it to be but still I am happy with how it looks. My cousin felt more disappointed. The nail tech didn't take her requests into consideration because of the time constraint which was unfortunate. Both Boy and Eden took great care of me today when I came in for an acrylic manicure and gel pedicure. Their service was professional and their art is on point. I've been to this nail salon three times now and each time has been a great experience. On my most recent visit, I got a full set with Cat-eye polish and honestly, this is the most beautiful set of nails I've ever had! Eden is more than a nail tech, he's dedicated to the artistry of his craft! He took his time, ensured that all the nails were filed into the perfect almond shape and checked in with me throughout the appointment to ensure that I was happy with the shape, length and color of the nails. This is one of my usual spots. It's not my first pick only because it's hard to get to with how busy E 14th St can get. Today I called my first pick and they were really busy and couldn't take me in. So I opted for Eco Nails Spa. I love Eco Nails Spa because 1) they don't rush you 2) it's tucked and hard to get to so it's not very busy in there when I go and 3) Amy was a sweetie pie today and they all usually all do a great job. I was immediately serviced upon entering and picked the Deluxe Pedicure. I usually always do a French tip but today I wanted to do a solid color and change it up. They had a good selection of OPI and DND nail swatches. And I was set on a really pretty pale pink that I know would make my new tan POP. I knew I needed a pedicure because my toenails were overgrown that it had chipped and snagged on some fabric the night before Anyway, Amy mentioned that one of my nails will be a little short because of it and I was totally okay with that, I just appreciated the communication despite the little language barrier. Halfway through she asked me how I was feeling which was really mindful because I was able to throughly relax the first half and then let her know how much I was enjoying myself because she was doing a great job taking her time with the massage part of the service. I feel like the only thing the place is lacking is some feng shui in design and vibrations. They need more healthy plants, maybe a little fountain, and better music options. If Eco Nails Spa is ever interested, I would love to extend a helping hand to help elevate the space with my natural knack at interior design. I was expecting better quality and longer-lasting results. I will never be coming back. The lady also was ungrateful and didn't thank me after I paid her tips. Response to owner: If the nails are done well; it shouldn't chip at all. The shape and size and length of the nails were uneven. She also made me bleed... I NEVER heard her say thank you. I tipped 15% and she was quiet as I walked out of the door which ticked me off. The quality was very poor. Please don't make excuses. My thumb nail was the nail that chipped early. I can provide the picture as evidence. I never do extensive labor so I am very careful. It chipped because she didn't spend enough time on the LED cure. I actually had a nail appointment for Tiffany's Nail Lounge however I accidentally scheduled it for July 24th instead of July 17th. So I begun searching for a new nail salon that was nearby an Eco Nails popped up I called and one of the guys answered the phone and told me I could come in for a full set. The service was absolutely amazing, I got my old acrylic set taken off, received a new acrylic set and I got a gel pedicure. I did not have an appointment however I was able to be seen the same day. The guy who did my nails name was Boy. He asked me if I had a picture of the nails that I wanted, I showed him and I explained additional details. He said I will have your nails looking nice. And he told no lies. I absolutely love my nails it's exactly what I asked for I wanted my nails to have a flat top, narrow yet sqaure (no duck nails) and to be short with a French tip. And he did everything to the T.He works very fast and intentional. The guy who did my feet I completely forgot to get his name but he did everything except for the French tip. He took really good care of my feet he gave me a great massage he was very detailed in cleaning my toes, he even brought out the old school toebrush, which is a service I no longer see nail salons use anymore. So I was very happy when I saw that shop still uses the toebrush. I attached a video for you all to see what that is. First time here: In the area and needed an acrylic fill. Ambience is nice, clean, relaxing with chill music. Techs are not loud and didn't gossip. - 5/5 Guy nail tech did an acrylic fill + cateye. Did a great job with file, shape, color. Nails look thin and natural, not bulky. Ended up getting a pedicure too. Woman did my toes - 3.5/5 Did a good job with cut, trim, buffer, scrub, hot towel + lotion. She carelessly turn to very hot water to wash my legs. Can work on being welcoming (when customers enter the shop) and friendly, **communicate** if customer made appt, walk in, etc. or what needs to be done. ** After paying, I went to grab cash, handed $20 bill to tip both techs. Woman tech took the cash, did not say thank you or anything at all (big red flag for me). Quality of work is well done! But the techs lack a bit of customer service which can easily turn to a 5 star experience. They did a good job for my pedicure and the price was decent ($35 for regular $45 for gel) but we had a reservation at 2:15pm on a Friday and didn't get seated at a nail chair until 3pm and and didn't finish until 4:30pm. We were almost there for 2 hours because they didn't have enough staff even though we had a reservation. I would not go if you are on a crunch time or make sure you let them know you need it done on time when you make reservation. read more

Very happy with my experience. I had not had a pedicure for a long time. I was mostly taking do it myself due the poor quality I was receiving at most places. I just gave up. It's the holidays and I needed to have a professional work on my feet. I did my due diligence and found Eco Nails. It's very clean organized and they have many different types of services. I found this place thru yelp. First place to reach out to me when I was looking for a salon. When I walked in the place as empty but I did not care. I was quickly sat down. I was showed color and picked one. Very quickly the tech shot the color down saying that it was too light. I said pls try anyways. I asked for regular polish she insisted on gel polish as "it's better" she kept saying " I do for you. I do for you." I sighed and said ok. She tried the color and the color was great! She gave me a price of $105. I didn't think much of it. But I said ok. Then came time for the hands. The guy did not pull my cuticles back or take them off until after everything was already done. He did not measure my the tips, he just started gluing them on. When he asked what color I said same as my feet and he said no because it's too light. It was not. He said French tip is usually white. I said ok fine. I asked for almond and the shape was so chunky when I asked for almond. It was round. And wide. He kept going I was already annoyed. Mid set the lady hands me a paper that says the price of hands and feet. It amounted to $110. Look I'm not about to argue about $5, but where tf did this mystery $5 come from?! Again I was annoyed and wanted to leave so I payed. I left a $10 tip and left. The nails started lifting 2 days later. I was pissed. I payed $120 for my nails to lift 2 days later?! Oh hell na! Needless to say I won't be going back or recommending the place to my friends as he requested. Sorry for the long rant. I absolutely love my nails. This will now be my go to nail salon. Not only were they fast and efficient but also kind and detail oriented. They consistently asked every step if this is what i wanted and were happy to showcase what they have available. They have a HUGE selection of dips and assorted colors. They have a whole wall dedicated to it. Il They're equipped to make their customers happy and comfortable. With massage chairs at the neck and shoulders and if you chose the massages for arms and legs with certain mani pedi, it is really delightful. They even have a cute kids chair to make them feel welcome too! The quality of their lotions are also really easy on the hands and feet. They also have great ventilation. Although appointments are recommended, if you go during the day just when they open or weekdays, you can ask for a walk in and they can accommodate without a long wait time. First of all, what's better than feeling like royalty after a crappy day at work? I've been looking for a new nail spot, especially closer to home because alameda just aynt doing it for me no more. This place is 10 minutes away from me during traffic hours, already a plus for me. Just imagine if i went first thing when they open because that's what i prefer. I came around 5pm, luckily for me, no one was there so i got serviced for a pedi and full set. I originally came in only for pedi but she asked, and immediately i was getting both services. Lucky for me that it was quiet, but unfortunate for them. They also are in a plaza so no need to worry about parking. Plenty of parking if you go at the right time. I got a full set, almond shaped acrylic cat eye, $75. Package 1 for pedi with gel, $60. Tipped $17 for both services. It is pricey, but i think i paid for what i got this time around, and it's been a long time since i can say that. I've said it before and ima say it again: some of these men nail techs are better than the women! And none of that gossip bs. Cause just bc i don't know what you saying, don't mean i wanna hear it. Will definitely be returning. Also, make sure you check in at the front with you ph#. You'll get discounts after accruing a certain amount of times, and on your actual bday. I came here for the first time today. Boy hooked up my nails. He had to do major work to take off the previous Ombre color that I had on my natural nails. I had to start my natural nail journey over from scratch. He did an excellent job and was very patient with me as it was painful to get the old Ombre powder off of my nails. I ended up getting the nail color that is used for French tips without the white tips. It looks very natural. This place is great and there is a parking lot for customers. The 10 bus stops right out front. I ended up getting a fresh pedicure. It was very relaxing and the lady that did my pedicure did an excellent job. They have massaging spa chairs that are great while getting a pedicure. I will start coming here going forward. I highly recommend this nail shop. It's also eco friendly. read more

My husband and I went here for pedicures and I decided to add in a manicure. Unbeknownst to me I was given a gel manicure. I did NOT request that! When I tried to remove the polish from my mails it wouldn't come off so I returned to the salon to get it removed. I since read the proper way to remove the polish is to soak the nails for a full 15 minutes by applying acetone wrapped cotton balls and cover in foil. Instead the female who removed them merely FILED off all the polish and in doing so also removed a significant part of my nails. I had this done yesterday and all my nails are cracking and breaking off. I am shocked and disappointed at her LAZINESS! The salon was empty when I went in- she and another coworker were sitting and chatting! She took 5 minutes to remove the polish instead of taking the time to do a proper job. This was my 3rd time in the salon- I even took my granddaughter. This past time I took my husband and I had my daughter granddaughter and son-in-law go there as well. I wasn't expecting extravagant; but after reading the reviews I thought they sounded nice since it's close to my house Walking in you can see ants in the floor The minute I walk in, the girl seated by the chair was unfriendly. She handed me the swatches but didn't explain if it's regular or gel since I was doing both. She did not like talking as I tried to make small talk. She also cut my nails square without asking me.... I never do square.... ALSO the water that she used to soak my hand, she threw the remaining into the water I was soaking my feet in.... After it was used... a piece of the feet tub broke off and sprayed my face.... I didn't say anything but there was also no apology. After she rushed and was done she went back to her chair to watch dramas on her phone The only reason they deserve 1 star is the sweet older lady who worked on my feet. Found the shop online this morning. They took us really quickly which is nice. My daughter got to sit in the little girls chair and the woman working on her was so kind. Me and my girlfriend got our pedis only and both our workers were very polite and listened to our request. I would give 5 stars for just that alone. My actual 3 stars is because of product and price. I personally love to pay for a good pedicure I'll sit for an hour and pay over $100 bucks on one. Ive worked in a nail salon before and pedicures were my thing. Today I paid $75 for mine and I just didn't feel that I got the service of a $75 pedicure. $10 was for chrome and $5 for a chipped toe nail so $60 I guess. Massage was less than 3 minutes for myself and that's on both feet/legs. Wax was lightly used for our feet, it didn't even touch the full bottom of our soles. My leg mask was put on and in less than a min a hot rag was thrown over and it was wiped off. It just seemed like a waste to get a high end pedi when it's rushed and lacked. There are plenty of places that still offer basic pedis for $30 and add gel for $10-$15 who give the same kind of pedi I received today. Truthfully my advice is not to offer them if product use is an issue and time, because you'll get more negative feedback doing so. But all in all still a great time and appreciated how kind everyone was. I do like my toes and I did get exactly what I asked for! All three of us! read more
