I purchased our golden from( Brenda now her fb says Rachel so who knows what she goes by now) about three years ago. I put up with ALOT of excuses with her shortly after I had paid her half (over $2k) for our puppy. I ended up having to contact her after time had passed and I hadn't heard about our puppy that was supposed to be born 6 months prior. I got nothing but excuses from her but gave her benefit of the doubt. She tried to sell us a puppy from a litter that was born 4 months prior due to not selling them. I kindly declined as I had put a deposit down for a red one. Months go by and I'm told that she miraculously had a red litter and they were already 3 weeks at this point. During the time of waiting I started seeing things online about her selling puppies that had parvo and other things. All which she denied. I played nice with her for the time being just so I didn't loose my money that I put down and get my golden I had waited a year for. After we finally picked him up he was terrified of her and immediately came to us cowering and would not come to her. I said nothing and thought maybe he just wanted to go home and was a quiet puppy. About a week later we dropped him off overnight for "daycare" that already paid for her and arranged prior to picking him up. The next morning I picked him up and he just looked defeated and noticed something was off. The people she had "working" for her looked like druggies and every time he was next to our puppy he would be terrified. I left shortly after and noticed on my way home the top of his head had a lump. I texted her and asked his he had gotten hit it hit himself and she immediately denied. I took him to the vet two days later and the lump was massive. I ended up having to pay over 1k to have the lump taken care of. Which included meds , a cone and him having a tube through his head to drain for two weeks. When I explained that the vet said it was trauma to his head she came up with the excuse of him hitting his head on the dog training ladder (yet before knew nothing about it) She denied helping with medical bills even though it transpired in her care. Fast forward to about a year later I found out that the father of our golden came from someone else in Washington who had never done breeding with her before. Mind you which was never told to us. I had to reach out to that person only to find out that ALL of his puppies where from the litter that miraculously showed up that's she told me she had already. His dog had zero testing and zero form of akc etc. when I asked Brenda about it she denied of course and said she had a breeding partnership with him. knowing I wasn't going to get a straight answer from her I dropped it. Now starting this year in January he out of the nowhere had a seizure and lost consciousness where I had to administer cpr to get him breathing again. I reached out to her and let her know, thinking she would care but instead I was told nope none of her puppies have ever had seizures that she knew of and that she moved out of the country and couldn't help... I took him to the vet and ran a bunch of tests to find out everything was normal. Now on Thursday he had another seizure... I then, of course, messaged her again to let her know, and instead of showing any form of compassion, asking how he was doing or us I was then told again that she moved out of the country is grieving the loss of her son(which she lost her son over 4 years ago) and is dealing with a lot and can't help me blah blah blah blah blah blah For her to turn around and block me... I reached out on multiple Facebook groups throughout the area, asking if anyone had issues with their puppies only to find out that everybody has had nothing but issues with her, and it has been going on for years that she has been breeding. A old employee of hers contacted me and informed me that she does still own this business And is looking to soon open up her own Maine coon breeding business. I highly advise everyone to stay clear of this woman and whatever business she does. She's extremely manipulative and there is several lawsuits open against her, which explains why she left the country. I pray that nobody else has to go through what we have and are currently dealing with, and I hope that others get justice for what she has done throughout the years. read more

We purchased our boy, Beans, in December of 2023 and picked him up New Years Day of 2024. Every aspect of getting him was a 10/10. When I left Brenda a voicemail first reaching out about a pup, she called back within 30 minutes and we chatted for a while. We ended up face timing and meeting the pups virtually. I knew from there that we were going to buy a puppy from her and we set a date to come by a week later. We went to her house to pick from two litters. Brenda was in the middle of a very hectic move but we only had 2 days we could come pick him out before we were out of town for the holidays for 2.5 weeks. She was so accommodating and let us come over late on a Wednesday night to pick out our puppy. We had 2 litters to chose from as two of her female dogs got pregnant when she wasn't expecting it. We got to play with each available pup one on one and take our time with them. She had each litter in their own themed room with music playing. It was like a puppy hotel and so adorable. We probably overstayed our welcome because we were seriously stuck between two dogs and couldn't decide who we wanted. We left telling her that we needed a day to decide and we'd get back to her but it took about 10 minutes in the car for us to decide and from there everything was smooth sailing. We were out of town in Northern California for the holidays for about 3 weeks. She even kept our puppy a week longer without charging us so we could pick him up on New Years Day. She would send us pictures and videos of him so we could see how adorable he was and he was living the life at Brenda's house until we were able to come pick him up. When we went to pick up Beans, we sat with Brenda for about 2 hours. She has a pretty extensive orientation but its nothing too crazy. She really cares about her pups and wants to set them and YOU up for success bringing them home. She gave us a packet with a ton of information from feeding details, what to expect for the first few days, training commands, etc. She also gives you a puppy shopping list that you need to get prior to bringing your dog home (food type, training treats, heartbeat puppy, etc). She really makes it as easy as possible for you and your new baby to adjust to your new life together. When we picked up Beans, she showed us some of the tricks her dog Sonic can do. Sonic is one of the most well trained dogs I've met. It was pretty incredible. We had already signed Beans up for the Basic Board and Stay camp where Beans would go back to Brenda for 2 weeks and then home for 2 weeks 3 times. However, Beans is so smart he completed most of the course in the first week and we were able to get him early. He is been the best addition to our family. We absolutely love him to pieces. He's such a good, healthy, and cuddly boy. We're amazed at how bright he is and we couldn't have been this happy if it weren't for Brenda and her training. read more

I waited since 5th of May for my puppy from Vail Ranch Goldens, and yesterday, Branda the owner of VRG just flipped on me and tell me she will give me a full refund. 4 months of wait and my puppy is gone, because of a terrible attitude from the dog breeder. A little backstory, I am a first time dog owner, called VRG on 5th May to inquire about getting a puppy from them. Knowing that they are located in Temecula, I asked Branda whether they can deliver to Los Angeles. Her response is yes, they can absolutely do that. She quoted me $3500 for the puppy - I found out later in one of their secret chat groups that the puppy is a much lower price, and there is a full orientation training program that was hard sell to the other families at $3500. So, I paid a much higher price than others - No problem with that. 1 day later, she told me she would deal with my FaceTime later, she hurt her shoulder, she's in bed in pain. -- Ok, benefit of doubt. Can't get one of your interns to video it for me? How difficult is that? So, I picked one and we agreed on a delivery date of 27th September. I reminded her again (nicely) closer to the day. On 24th September, I texted Branda and ask if I can pay the balance since the delivery is this coming 27th September. She said "no, sorry she has other families to deal with and they are important. I am the only one she has to make special arrangements to deliver to LA" WOW! That was literally my first question when I first called her. And we agreed to a date. She made it sound like she is doing me a favor. Although I am paying additional $300 for delivery, I have not once sound off entitled. If she suggest another date for delivery, I would be fine. Told her I will go with the refund, she has no replied me in 2 days. Cool. I am pretty certain she is going to come up with some lawyer claim -- she is still trying after 2 years, all bark no bite! The videos you recorded of us on your old property were taken about halfway through our dog's training. At that point, we were pleased. We were disappointed that there were always new employees and new trainers, but we naively believed you when you said that they had all stolen from you. Soon after the video was recorded, you ended the training by sending a text to multiple families that stated you had been rushed to the ER and that doctors were demanding that you downsize or close your business before you "kill yourself". You admitted that teens (my dog included) did not receive outside fieldwork. I responded that I hope you felt better and I was sorry to hear you were ill. I waited two months before contacting you again - after I noticed your big announcement on Facebook that you had investors and were expanding the Vail Ranch business. This was a shock to me. You said that there were no reimbursements after 14 days and that he was just two weeks from graduating. We unfortunately purchased our puppy and puppy training here back in early 2020. I can't stress enough how bad my experience was here with the owner of this business. Not only was this the worst experience of buying a puppy, it was flat out the worst business transaction experience I have ever had buying anything from someone. My story began with my inquiry to purchase a Golden Retriever puppy from Brenda's Vail Ranch Goldens business via phone number at 951-***-7735. After speaking with Brenda, we decided to visit her location at 43240 Los Corralitos Rd Temecula, CA 92592 to view her current selection of available puppies. Once there my wife and I found a puppy we both adored and agreed to purchase to for $3500.00. After agreeing to purchase the puppy, Brenda became insistent that we also purchase her puppy obedience training classes for an additional $3000 but we declined. That night we were not prepared to take the puppy home since our home was not ready for our new addition. Brenda then offered to take a non-refundable $500 deposit (which we paid via Zelle) to hold the puppy and allow us time to come back later once we were ready to take the puppy home. A few days later we returned, however the sales pressure to purchase training was even more intense. It was more intense than dealing with a shady used car salesperson in that she was so persistent and savage about it. She even said how she had other families lined up to purchase our puppy for full price plus her training package for almost $4000. Since my wife and I really didn't want to lose the puppy we had fallen in love with, we negotiated with her. After some tense negotiations, we came to an agreement to the add a shorten modified "Basic" training program of 6-weeks for $1k of which we would pay $500 (cash) upfront and agree to pay the remaining $500 1-week before the puppy graduates from training. After all the negotiations Brenda began to draft her contracts with very interesting terms. When I questioned certain parts of her contracts, she just criticized me for picking apart her contracts and was super annoyed about having to re-type the contracts several times in order to remove certain items from the contracts we did not agree with. She especially didn't like it when I asked her to simply number the pages of her contracts. I just couldn't understand why Brenda was so obsessed with her contracts over the purchase of a family dog. It felt worst then being inside of a finance manager's office at a car dealership. I even think the process of signing my mortgage was easier than signing her puppy and training contracts. Anyways, my wife signed everything and we were soooo ready to leave and take our puppy home! We were so excited and in love with our boy! We bonded with him instantly and over the next few weeks it literally started to feel like our puppy was our son. Our boy was happy, healthy, affectionate, close, and silly. We were in love! Several weeks later we returned to begin the first week of training which required us to leave the puppy with Brenda and her trainers for an entire week. It was hard leaving him there not knowing how it was going to be. We had become overly protective puppy parents however we realized the importance of training and so we trusted Brenda and left him there for training. A week later we returned to pick up our puppy however he seemed off and almost scared to be near us. After a few treats and getting him use to us again we finally got him into the car and drove home. Upon arriving at home, we noticed several issues with our puppy. He had an injury on his mouth (like bite mark from another dog or insect bite), he had contracted fleas, he wasn't eating normally, and he was sick with watery stools. All this deeply concerned my wife and I and we started questioned whether we should even continue the training class the following week. The very next day we called Brenda to voice our concerns and this is when Brenda's character drastically changed on us. Brenda heard our concerns however took near no responsibility and stated we were "over-reacting" and that these issues were nothing. Even citing her contract terms saying was not liable for anything. We were floored and shocked at her response. Where was the "nice" Brenda go from before we gave her our money, signed a contract, and drove off with our puppy? We paid good money for our puppy and training and to be just told we were "over-reacting" felt offensive. During the next several days we had various conversations with Brenda via phone and text over how we could remedy the situation but instead Brenda decided to drop us and our puppy from her training program and notified us that we were no longer welcomed back to her place of business. She also made it clear to us that we were still responsible to pay the entire amount of $1k for the training program even though we were dropped by her. The owner kicked us out and stated she would not reimburse us for the remaining 6 weeks of training I presented the case to Amex(I used Amex because I was skeptical of the owner after a couple of meetings)I received a partial refund.I just found out one of our boys was born in Missouri.Both the father and mom were in Missouri .We were NEVER told anything about Missouri period!This owner buys the dogs in MO sells them in So Cal.On the web site it states years and years of breeding and National Champions Etc.On Golden Retriever Forum she states she has only been in business for a couple years. Read what other legit breeders of Goldens posted on Golden Retriever Forum Concerning this Vail Ranch Goldens.The owner has crossed the professional line. She has a clause in her multiple contracts that you cannot leave a negative revue for 1 year. This is against the law (CA law AB 2365)We will be addressing this fact this week. We have been threatened, mocking my wife who has MS. Also stating that her and her friends were laughing at my wife having MS. We get threatening emails about taking us to court.We looked up how many law suits she has in play. Check it out. This makes me sick to my stomach because we thought the owner and where we picked up our Goldens was heaven on earth with all the Golden pups running around.Instead it is hell on earth. We took our golden to her facility and only received about 2 weeks worth of training for our dog. We basically paid $4000 dollars for daycare for 6 weeks, then we're told that our training was complete. She proceeded to say that I made her feel uncomfortable because I was hitting on her. My wife was with me every time I went to her home except on time in the beginning when I picked up my dog. I had to give the 1 star when really it deserves minus stars! 2 weeks after purchasing our puppy she died of a brain tumour. She had already been near death 48 hours after bringing her home and spent 3 days at the vet hospital. $8,000 vet bills later our puppy was dead. Brenda offered us a new puppy and then 4 days later said we could only have one if we entered a breeding agreement. Then she said she was in hospital and we couldn't pick the new puppy up. Then she sends us old pics she'd previously posting on fb to prove she was in hospital: the next day she says we can't have the puppy she promised us as a VIP client was interested. We eventually brought home Jessie who is wonderful. Brenda refused to help with the vet bills even though our first puppy had been exhibiting symptoms before we bought her. We took her to small claims court and won but she refuses to pay us what we're owed under California Lemon Law. Her business license has been rescinded by the State of California and is no longer part of BBB even though she said she is. She refuses to be served to come to court or explain why she hasn't paid us what she owes!! If anyone can send me her up to date address I'd be grateful! Edit to respond to Brenda. Ah Brenda you lie!! I didn't ask for a puppy from the same litter. You offered us our puppy's sister. I did file in the right county as I live in the county I filed in. I have an affidavit from the process server. A legal document. You lie constantly, threaten constantly and manipulate all the time. Last year around Christmas I purchased a puppy from Brenda and attempted to be friends with her for about 24 hours. The bloodline is amazing but dealing with her is a terrible experience. She goes for all the breeders tricks of the trade and is not concerned about you or those dogs...she'll do anything to make a sale. I live in a small condo and she stated she was firm about not letting anyone in a condo adopt. She was ok with me adopting two...condo didn't matter. She also smokes and close door bedroom with her own dog sonic and cats in there. She'll try your best to get on a personal level with you and then she will tell you which dog she thinks you should have. She won't even allow me to look at the little puppies because she wanted her bigger puppies, older puppies gone since they are harder to sell and I didn't find out till later. Her training is ridiculous... these dogs pretty much speak English so to pay something like $12,000 for an older puppy because she put training into it it's just out of control. She'll try to get you to feel sorry for her. And she will get straight up angry at you. When you say you wanna look elsewhere or if you don't meet her timeline of when to pick up the animal. I drove three hours to get my pup. I told her when she had a moment and was ready for me to let me know, and I'll be at the casino down the street. Because she was already making it sound like I was such an inconvenience on her day. You won't get any paperwork as far as Pedegree and everything you'll just get some thing stating that you'll be sued. If you try to breed this dog she is awful I over paid her by $1000 because I was going to get two dogs until I found out. I had to be in a breeding contract with her. And she makes it sound so glamorous but no that's awful stuff with her. She's a puppy mill. I wanted to try to buy the puppy out of the contract and she would not have it still breaks my heart that puppy still is up for sale. This woman only thinks about herself and her money. Her place is chaotic and disgusting with all those animals and nothing is taken care of properly. I believe people go for their second and third dog because the bloodline is so great the temperament is so great. I mean that's why I wanted to get another one, but there's no way in hell I can deal with that woman and she's selling her business soon, so I suggest everybody wait for that moment to come and then go buy a puppy. We adopted our beautiful golden boy from Vail Ranch golden. He has been such a blessing to us. He is the most handsome boy and I always get stopped and complimented about him. He has the best temperament and is very smart due to the training he had early on as a puppy. As I was a volunteer at the ranch I saw how Brenda loved and cared for all the puppies. The puppies environment was always clean and they received much loving attention. I have had five goldens and my Toby is by far the best! I went to Brenda, because I wanted a dog with quality and champion bloodlines. I also wanted to make sure the dog was tested for strong hips eyes and heart.
