We adopted a BEAUTIFUL, well behaved little boy from this organization. Michelle works VERY hard to find these dogs loving homes.

While in a state of panic, I searched online for who to contact. I called Riverside County Animal Services, and I was on hold for what felt like an eternity. I hung up, and decided to call Animal Friends of the Valleys to see if they could give me numbers for who to contact. I was immediately connected to a woman named Tara. She was so kind! I could tell she has a good heart. She was understanding of my concern for the injured bird. She took down my info and informed me that someone would be there to pick up the bird. About 20 minutes later, the bird ran off. I am assuming it was just stunned after crashing into the window. I called back to cancel the service, and Tara answered again. She was happy the bird was moving. Thank you Tara for being so kind and helpful!

While I am so happy to have adopted our newest addition to our family, the process has really left…read moreme disgruntled and less excited then I should've been. I came in yesterday during their Pawlooza event for the zero dollar spay and neuter fee. I was there for a good 30 minutes looking at all of their dogs carefully deciding on which one would be a good fit. Unfortunately that ate into 330 which I guess they don't do any interactions 30 minutes prior to closing, which would've been good to know upon my arrival at 3. I was actually ready to adopt the dog, but they advise that I need to interact and prior - no problem as I came in the next day like they recommended. I came in, interacted with her for a good five minutes I knew she was the one and so went straight to the front desk to adopt. I was assisted by CRISTINA which is where it all went downhill. I had politely gave her the details that we were in yesterday, but couldn't adopt due to needing to interact and so I'm here today and seeing if they would extend the fee where she had rudely responded " it doesn't matter it ended". I was taken back because this was literally like a minute into our conversation where she was already acting this way. I left it at that. I continued with the adoption process with her and for an additional 5 minutes, I was standing there with no progress and had asked her is there anything she needs from me and she said if I filled out the application where I had said yes it's right here and gave her attitude back by saying "you never asked for anything" because at this point, I'm matching her same energy. The process took an additional 45 minutes because she kept chatting with multiple colleagues that were sometimes not even important work details and even had interrupt their conversation a few times to continue the process. Overall terrible experience and if I was her, I would've looked more into the situation - it's not like I was there during the event yesterday and simply was indecisive and then came in today. It was because they wouldn't let me adopt her that day which again I understand they have rules, but there should've been an exception made. Even then, beyond this detail, there were the additional ones that I described that just would've made the experience terrible anyways. She needs to seriously reconsider a job working with people if she's going to act this disgusting.

I was looking for a small dog for my mom but wasn't sure what kind. I googled different types of…read moresmall dogs and fell in love with the yorkie breeds. I googled yorkie puppies in San Diego area and came across the Sweet Yorkie Kisses site. I read through the reviews here on yelp and was kind of skeptical after reading one of the reviews but I decided to check it out anyways. I called Melissa and instantly trusted her (which isn't something I do often). I explained to her what we were looking for and she recommended a teacup yorkie Pomeranian mix. I live in Chula Vista so I took the chance and drove up to Temecula and as soon as I saw the puppy she recommended I fell in love. I had to get her so I bought her on the spot. Melissa was SO NICE and very informative about all the required maintenance for these types of dogs including the type of food she should eat. I got home and my mom loved her as well as the rest of my family! Melissa called the next day and she was thrilled to learn how well the puppy was doing! It was a great experience and I'm so happy with our baby. We renamed her Abby and we've had her for a month now and we couldn't be happier (:

This review should be zero stars but it's not possible in Yelp…read more I purchased a puppy from Melissa in September 2019. She falsely portrayed the puppy as a FULL BRED Yorkie. I should have known better because she would not allow me into her house to see the living conditions and we could smell the inside of her house from her front door and it was disgusting, smelling like a foul puppy mill. However, she promised to provide registration papers, proving the puppy was FULL BRED. But the papers never arrived after about 30-40 requests for them, lasting over a one year period. She initially tried to sell the puppy to me for $2800, which I refused. I asked to see the parents and she showed us a Yorkie that she claimed was the Mother but she said she couldn't show us the Father because he had allegedly passed away recently. She was insistent that she'd provide the registration papers and it was stated that she would in the contract so I agreed to pay $1800.00 for the puppy. Unfortunately, I was deceived by Melissa that it was a PURE BRED Yorkie. Once we got the puppy home and enrolled in a veterinarian maintenance program, the company offered a free DNA test, which revealed that the puppy was only 50% Yorkie (see picture). Melissa continued to promise the registration papers proving the puppy was FULL BRED but she never provided them to me. She continued to lie and make up stories about how she was getting the papers. I sent her numerous emails and text messages but she would just stall and stall with a million excuses why it was taking so long. I sued her in Small Claims Court for Breach of Contract and won a judgement (Riverside Superior Court-Case# SCSW2000388). She refused to pay the judgment so I took her to court again to provide proof of assets, and she didn't show up, which results in an automatic loss for her and a $1000.00 Bench Warrant. I submitted the case to a collection agency and she has still refused to pay. I'm not concerned because I will get my money back but in the meantime, my hope is that the public is aware of this criminal so she does not repeat this crime against anyone else. Melissa is a dishonest business person. She has lost previously in Small Claims Court to another person she ripped off, it is searchable in Google (See Picture). She tries to avoid looking like a dishonest business by changing her business name repeatedly, however, the bad reviews continue to follow her. She used to call her business Yorkie Baby Dolls and Sweet Yorkie Kisses. It was also called Furever Puppies. She does this to try and get a "fresh start" from all her horrible reviews and to escape her horrible reputation. Her website claimed to be "honored and verified" by the United Online Pure Breeders" but this is a bogus organization and she isn't even listed on the bogus site. The phone number to the organization is not a working number either. She also boasted on her website that she provides a pet quality guarantee with AKC limited registration. Melissa violates Article 64 (h) of the Animal Pedigree Act when she does this. If you are looking for an honorable breeder, Melissa is not a viable option. She also claims to be a religious person, quoting scripture and acting like a righteous business person throughout her interactions. But when confronted with her criminal behavior, she turns into a wicked person who will just accuse you of harassment. Stay away from this business and this woman, she is out for one thing and one thing only, quick money.

We had such a good experience with Rovers Return Dog Rescue. Sandra is compassionate,…read moreknowledgeable, and dedicated. The application process was thorough -- which I appreciated -- but not unreasonably so. The adoption fee was more than fair considering that our pup was neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and had flea treatment on board -- we would have paid more to do all that ourselves, not to mention the hassle. Our pup was also housetrained and partly crate-trained, which was huge. He's a 5mo puppy, so accidents of all kinds can and do happen, but we can tell that Rovers Return gave him a great onramp from the rough life he'd had before to his new forever home. David, the foster parent we worked with, was extremely generous with his time and his knowledge, and had clearly put in the time with our pup. We've stayed in touch, to let him know how our boy is doing, and to check on the status of his littermates. If we were in a position to adopt another pup right now, we'd have taken one in a heartbeat. This is a good outfit, doing good work, and doing it well. Highly recommended.

She was in contact with us everyday while she was trying to locate and catch our dog. The world would be a better place if there were more people like her!!! i would give this rescue 10 stars if i could.

(I do understand and respect prioritizing the mental health of the cats, but I'm sure the cats, especially the adults, would prefer a compromise, like being required to fill out a one page form on the spot before meeting). Every serious adopter that goes into a pet store and sees one of this organization's animals that they are interested in adopting and is told they have to go through this and this and this step before they can even interact with the cat and know if the personality is a fit. Everyone loses out. In my experience, even if you do go through all the steps, they won't call you back, and a cat that could have had a home I know had that opportunity taken from them because of the seemingly righteous or superior attitude of the rescue people. They surely know how many people go in and out of those cat and kitten rooms at the Animal Friends of the Valley shelter. Having a few people go in one at a time to meet one particular cat, I don't feel, is any more dangerous or unhealthy for the cat than them losing the opportunity to be adopted and eventually being put down. I just don't understand rescues like this. If you're too small to actually help, then let somebody else do it.

Mindy provided a very personable, warm and extremely responsive service, made every effort to respond to my inquiry on Adopt-A-Pet and approving my application as well as just answering my questions and chatting with me about my potential cat baby's personality traits and his background story. She responded to emails as late as 11PM on a weekend and her demeanor was always welcoming and reassuring, like an old, caring friend. Mindy's words and actions convey that she truly truly love all of her rescued cat babies and she only wants what's best for them and she works extremely hard to find them good homes. I was very sad that neither cat babies from her rescue matched the particular personality I was looking for (I was trying to fill this big hole in my heart with the tragic loss of a stray cat named Cookie I cared for) and I really wished that given all the hard work she and her daughter put into, I'd adopt either Teddy or Khabib. Despite these big, affectionate sweet boys were not the best match I was searching for, I don't think any less of them, I sincerely hope they will find their forever home they deserve and I cannot be more grateful for Mindy's time, patience and understanding she's extended me and my family. If I had more capacity for an additional cat baby in the future after finding THE ONE, Mindy and her rescue is the first place I'd check out. He is everything we were looking for in a puppy: healthy, smart, sweet, playful, loving, and very happy. I am giving Cherie 4/5 stars due to the following: 1. She was not been the best communicator before we purchased our fur baby. Her website says that the best way to contact her is via text, but before securing our puppy, she would take a long time to answer our questions or simply not answer our text messages in the amount of time she said she would. Once our puppy was selected and paid for, Cherie answered all our questions and sent us pictures whenever we requested them. 2. We paid $1K and our puppy was projected to be 4-5lbs max, but he is already 6lbs at 4 months. My husband & I do not care about his size too much, so this did not bother us as much and we are not looking for a partial refund, but I could see why this would upset customers who were expecting a very small dog. We asked Cherie how much he weighed when we picked him up and she said "about 1lb." we weighed him when we got home and he was actually 2.4lbs at 8 weeks, so we knew he was not going to be 5lbs max. Obviously, there's always a risk when purchasing a living creature because there is no way to know %100 everything about their health, personality, etc. With that said, I do believe good business practices are important and I am sorry to read that others are not happy with their situations. Cherie probably needs to outline her policies in black/white regarding health guarantees and refund policies. I would still recommend her to friends/family because 90% of our experience has been amazing.
