Yesterday, Zulu and I had our first visit, and I couldn't be more pleased! I have a 2-year-old pittie who can get pretty excited or fearful depending on the situation and environment. My goal is to stop Zulu from pulling on walks and keep him focused on me rather than other dogs, lizards, and critters. Debbie is a fantastic trainer! We took a few group classes with her, as well as some private lessons. There's a whole lot to learn about raising a well behaved and fulfilled dog, and you got to put a lot of work in if you want to be successful. Debbie models what needs to be done, and observes while you train (because ultimately you have to be consistent each day; a few one-hour sessions alone won't train your dog). She has a great calming, yet assertive energy that our dog responded very well to. And we've had a lot of success with our dog by emulating Debbie's energy and practices. We read a couple books and watched some YouTube videos on dog training before going to Debbie, but only had minimal success. Nothing can really compete with in-person training, especially if you find someone good like Debbie.
