From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed not just as guests, but as people in need of a safe, supportive space to breathe and regroup. The team at Jacob's House extended kindness that felt so genuine--it was as though they wrapped our family in a warm hug during a very heavy time. The home itself is peaceful and thoughtfully maintained, with every detail clearly designed to bring a sense of calm to families like ours. But beyond the physical comforts, what meant the most was the human kindness. The staff checked in on us, offered encouraging words, and created a space where we didn't feel so alone in our grief and uncertainty. It's rare to find a place that truly lives out its mission, but Jacob's House does just that. Their presence made a heartbreaking chapter in our lives just a little bit lighter, and we will always carry gratitude for the compassion they showed us. If you or a loved one are ever in need of a place to stay during a medical emergency in Temecula, know that Jacob's House is a sanctuary--one filled with heart, understanding, and hope. With deep gratitude, Nora

Goodwill said to come here to drop off mattresses... WHEN YOU ARRIVE you have to drive around the cones and wait at the STOP SIGN until the car in front of you has has been helped... SUNDAY AFTERNOON: There was only one car in front of us! When it was our turn: a young man said WE DON'T ACCEPT MATTRESSES. It was a foldable TWIN MATTRESS. It seemed like he just wanted us to not donate anything here. Another older guy came out to confirm the same thing. I asked if they accept pillows and blankets and they said YES! I'm not sure if it's because it's TEMECULA but, I recall going to another Salvation Army in Pasadena and the people there were really friendly and welcoming! Mostly seniors or veterans... When she arrived, she was struggling emotionally and academically. Throughout her stay, the Oak Grove team demonstrated patience, compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping her succeed. They provided a structured and supportive environment that helped her focus on her education, personal growth, and emotional well-being. I especially appreciate the dedication of the therapists, teachers, and residential staff who worked tirelessly to encourage her, guide her, and help her stay on track. Their communication with our family and their concern for her progress made a significant difference. No program is perfect, but I truly believe Oak Grove's staff cares deeply about the youth they serve. As a father, I am thankful for the effort, kindness, and support they showed my daughter. I wish continued success to the entire Oak Grove Center team as they continue making a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families. Thank you, Oak Grove Center, for everything you have done for our family.

We brought wrap around services back in, and while schools were closed/remote, we managed him at home with some psych admissions to Del Amo, with in person return to Switzer Learning Center, but transitioned him to a full public school for the last two years of high school where he graduated with high honors and Dean's List. Hang in there, it's worth it.
