I visited Dr. Vaccaro Seth few months ago to remove a small mole, but unfortunately, the procedure left the mole incompletely removed. Upon contacting the doctor's assistant, I was informed that the doctor considered it a deep mole and should be done by a plastic surgeon while they didn't mention it during the procedure and it was very small and easy mole to remove .This's wasted my time, energy, and money, Disappointing experience overall. read more

I initially wanted to go to a fancy doc in BevHills, but since it's such a drive, I lagged about making an appt for a while. Then my friend happened to mention a derm she went to here in Dena and how wonderful he was! Soo, I thought I'd go to him instead since he was so much closer. Dr. Vaccaro is amazing! He is so so friendly and welcoming and honest! I went in for a few different things (including super minor acne scar reduction aka I wanted Retin A!) and he was so helpful with all of it and made me feel very comfortable. Went in to see Dr.Vaccaro based on a referral from our pediatrician. The office staff was very pleasant when first checking in. We waited about 5 minutes before we were moved into the exam room. Dr.Vaccaro was super nice and explained to me very well the condition that my son has. Overall I was pretty happy with our first visit. My first impressions of Dr. Vacarro's office were good. The office was nice and clean, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Vacarro was nice as well, but I was disappointed in his treatment practice. I had fallen and got a pretty bad scrape on my hand. It was very painful and bloody-too painful to clean. I decided since I was seeing Dr. Vacarro the next day, I'd have him look at it and treat it. When I went in the next morning he just told me to put polysporin on it. He also didn't clean the wound. 3 months later, I'm finally healing from a horrible fungus infection that I feel could have been avoided if the wound had been cleaned properly. I left Dr. Vacarro's office feeling disappointed that day as I had asked him what I could do to prevent scarring. His answer was to book another appointment in a couple of weeks to receive consultation on scarring. ??? This was a clear indication to me that the doctor was just trying to juice as many visits from me as possible to collect more money. How would a consultation two weeks later help me in preventing scarring? Looking back, I realize I could've taken better steps to avoid my infection...I should have gone to the ER, or beared the pain and clean it myself. But I also look back and feel there was alot of negligence on Dr. Vacarro's part. read more

He's the best dermatologist I've ever gone to. He's so nice so honest takes his time doesn't make the visit a rush. I've always had bad skin... Acne, scarring, uneven skin tone, cystic acne, pimples, etc. I was always on antibiotics n topicals but nothing really worked. He put me on Acutane for 7 months n monitored me with visits n blood tests. I've NEVER been happy like this with my skin. I can walk out from my house with bare skin n it looks fantastic!!! His staff is wonderful too very welcoming. Since he's so popular it's sometimes hard to get appointments but seriously go see him! read more

A nice local dermatologist. Dr. Seth is very helpful and friendly. They also specialize in Psoriasis and has a UV light box on premise for treatment. However their light box is not a narrow band UVB. Instead it is a generation older technology of full band UVB. Treatment result is still good but it just takes a bit longer to build up and you get burn a bit quicker if not careful. Having said that, you will be in good care during your UVB light treatment under the supervision of a nurse. If you only need a few sessions, you will be fine. If this will be a lifetime treatment, then consider buying your own narrow band UVB unit. Visit http://talkpsoriasis.org/ to find a used UVB narrow band light unit for sale. If you are not in a hurry, you will find one at a decent price. Either you have your own light unit or use the facility's own unit for treatment. Dr Seth Vaccaro will take care of you. I love Dr. Vaccaro but I am dinging them for one star due to their billing department. Seems like every time I pay my co-pay during my office visit. I always (90%) get a follow up letter that I owe them another $20 to $25 because insurance would not cover so I am responsible for it. This is just for seeing Dr. Seth only, no treatment. It is very irritating, I rather have the billing do their job properly and just tell me what I owe up front and not have to be bothered with this whole back billing. And the office manager is a piece of work, she has no compassion. Despite this, I will not hold Dr. Seth for the billing dept's incompetent against him personally but it is a drag. Because Dr. Seth is such a great dermatologist, I will come back and deal with the lame ass billing department. P.S. make sure to keep all of your co-pay receipts so you have a good record on your end if you need to prove them wrong, especially if you are paying in cash. read more

Excellent doctor finally found out that I had a one in a million severe autoimmune disease when other doctors dismissed my rash as dermatitis. Also he personally called me with the bad news which while devastating was better hearing it directly than from staff. Great doctor! read more

Crying tears of joy! My teenage daughter has a ton of allergies that effectively upset her skin. She takes 4 antihistamines that still leave her skin in pain. She had seen another dermatologist that prescribed her a paraben laden lotion that caused a worse flare up after we told him we had noticed a paraben sensitivity. He flat out rage quit and told us there was nothing that could be done for my daughter's painful skin that would cause her to cry in her sleep. We contacted Dr Vaccaro, he's an absolute God send! He listened, he assessed, he researched and prescribed medication that was paraben free. He gave her an in office sample that my daughter tried on the spot...no flare up... a few hours later she experienced relief from pain for the first time in over a year. To put it mildly we're amazed. Awesome doctor. His staff was also on point, adept, polite, they called with follow up info, and made scheduling easy. A truly great experience. Dr. Vaccaro's office was exactly what I hoped for -- direct, efficient, human, reasonable. As a new patient, I was immediately and warmly greeted, and provided a brief new patient form to complete. My name was called exactly at the appointment time (I was there a little early, expecting to complete some paperwork). One assistant accompanied me to the examination room, and Dr. Vaccaro joined me within about one minute.
