What meant the most to me was how comfortable they made the whole visit feel. It can be a little vulnerable talking about skin issues, but their calm, kind, and down-to-earth demeanor immediately put me at ease. You can tell they truly care, not just about the outcome, but about you as a person. On top of that, their skill is obvious. Most of the questions were asked by the nurse, and the doctor only briefly looked at my symptoms after I specifically asked him to. The medication she prescribed didn't help--in fact, it made my condition worse. When I called the clinic because the same problem hadn't been resolved and had actually gotten worse, I was told I would have to pay for another consultation. This wasn't a new issue. It was the same condition that hadn't been properly treated the first time. I don't think it's reasonable to charge another consultation fee when the original treatment didn't resolve the problem and actually made it worse. That shouldn't be necessary for a patient trying to manage their healthcare. More importantly, this situation caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety and has negatively impacted my health. I already deal with high blood pressure, and this experience elevated it further, which is both troubling and unacceptable when seeking medical care. I later received multiple messages from Metropolitan dermatology, claiming that I owed a balance for Botox and fillers. A service which I never requested or received. It has now been three years later, I have never gone back and yet the business is still claiming that I have an outstanding balance for an alleged filler appointment. It should also be noted that the company failed to provide me with an itemized receipt or proof of service. Although the doctor was friendly upon my visit, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere due to the inflamed prices and lack of proper communication and documentation.
