Dr. Greenburg has been a great help with my acne journey and has always answered all of my questions. However, the receptionist has not always been the best. That is the only reason I took off one star. I love the results from this office, but if I make a call or am checking in, I am met with attitude from the front. Dr. Phillip Lee is new to me, and was referred by a friend. I had a suspicious spot on my skin and needed to get all my skin checked for cancer. Dr. Lee was so thorough, friendly, respectful. And answered all my questions. It turns out I had quite a few more questions than those which initially prompted me to make the appointment. He was knowledgeable and also not alarmist about all my concerns. Explained pricing, realistic results, et cetera. The front desk was great in the phone and in person. Very unorganized. Called to schedule an appointment about a month and a half ago. Went through all the normal gamut of checking insurance and giving them my information. Scheduled. Done and done. Arrived this morning, waited about 20 minutes after filling out the new patient paperwork. Receptionist lets me know they don't take my insurance, and it's $140 for an initial consult. I ask why they suddenly don't take my insurance and her response is "we don't verify insurance until you arrive". Naturally, I recall that I specifically asked during my initial call whether they would, and have all my info for that. She just keeps repeating that they don't verify until the customer is there. That policy seems a bit silly and "bait and switch"-y when they're having customers wait weeks in order to even get a consult. It reminds me of car salesman "oh yeah, so the price on the website was from 10 minutes ago, that changed and is now $X more, sorry about that. Not to mention they had verified my insurance over the phone during my initial call. Obviously, giving a lower rating would be unfair, as I didn't even get to the "seeing a doctor" stage. Additionally, charging $2 per credit card transaction under $100 when businesses normally pay 1.5-3% processing fees is a plain and simple money grab. They even have "sample products" available for customers to grab. Seems like this may be against PhRMA guidelines but hey, I'm not an expert. Save your money, time, and energy by finding an office that cares more about the patient than the money. read more

I came to see Dr. Phillip Lee about a MILD & dry skin condition on my face. I have been to this facility before but was seen by a different doctor. That doctor is unfortunately no longer there. So I was suggested to see Dr. Lee instead. He seems like a friendly guy with genuine manners. And members of his staff are kind and polite as well. Unfortunately, I can't grade a doctor based on how friendly he is. I have to grade on how well he treats my skin...and I'm truly upset and disgusted!! He gave me some creams from his office to bring home and try. He even said that what he was giving me was "safe." I trusted him. I applied it Friday night and when I woke up the next morning, I awoke to a horrific sight. My face was much much much worse (see pictures)!! It was stingy, itchy, beyond dry, red and tough to look at. I wanted to breakdown and cry. Never has my face looked that bad. The whole reason I went to the dermatologist was to build up my confidence; not destroy it. Truly heartbroken. This has been a nightmare...an absolute NIGHTMARE! I will not be back to see Dr.Lee or this facility. I am now working with other dermatologists to undo what Dr.Lee did. Since my ordeal I have gotten a second opinion with a different dermatologist. I showed him the products and he says that two of the three products Dr.Lee gave me have a certain acid that younger people like myself (early 20s) are sensitive to. This is one of the worst medical experiences of my life. I lost my skin, lost my trust in this facility, and worst of all I lost confidence in my self-appearance. I'm a big chicken when it comes to having any type of medical procedure which makes me a rather non-compliant patient. Very sad considering I'm a nurse. Today I had to suck it up and see Dr. Lee to have some skin cancer removed. I explained my fears and he was incredibly patient with me. He explained what he was doing to me in detail and made sure I was numbed fully. All in all it was an extremely positive experience and I'm very happy I discovered this office. I went to my appointment as a new patient for my daughter. We waited 5 min to be called back, then another 5 min after that until we're seen. My daughter is 2 years old and she continuous Breaks out in rashes. Dr. chi able to take a look at her and suggested I see an allergist, see if she has a food allergy. At the end of July I had an infection on my left arm that was proving to be worrisome. I went to the ER at Scripps Mercy Hospital in SD to be treated, but had to leave the next day before I could see a dermatologist there since I had to come back home. I then went to the ER at Methodist Hospital, but they were unable to provide much help and referred me to Dr. Philip Lee at the Center for Advanced Dermatology instead (since they don't have an in-house dermatologist). I actually didn't want to come here because they don't take my insurance, but I couldn't find a dermatologist that did. Since my infection was not getting any better, I called to make an appointment and thankfully was able to schedule one for two days later. The Center is located on Huntington Drive, across the street from Methodist Hospital, and is easy to find with a large parking lot right in front. I quickly checked in with reception, filled out some forms, and then waited around for a bit before the doctor was able to see me. Since my antibiotics were finally starting to take effect, however, he did not need to do much for me. He looked at the (pus) blisters on my hand and checked out my arm before telling me that he thinks I'm improving. He ended up lancing two of my blisters and then prescribed me a cream to apply on them. He also recommended using ice packs, telling me that after two weeks of the cream (and of course finishing off my antibiotics), the blisters should be gone. The redness, however, he warned probably would not go away for a couple of months at least. While I was a bit frustrated that he couldn't explain the why/how behind my infection and how bad it got, I was still relieved to have a medical professional tell me that I was getting better. The cream was definitely the best part of this whole thing since that really helped with my blisters. The visit did end up being really expensive, especially considering I only saw him for about 15 minutes, but I tell myself it was worth it for the cream and the peace of mind. read more

TLDR: Rude. Disorganized. Great doctor. Bad staff. Pity. Rude. Disorganized. Indifferent. We write this review as a customer/patient hoping the doctor would take notice or you as perspective customer/patient could make informed decision. My girlfriend visited the doctor based on a referral. She loved the doctor and based on her advice we got a package of four treatments. Note that this isn't covered by insurance so it's all out of pocket. The first treatment went well. The nurse was attentive and detailed. On her second treatment, it was a different nurse/doctor. The nurses prepping her asked basic questions about the scope of treatment that should have been in the file. The treatment felt rushed. The interactions were unfriendly. We thought this was just an anomaly. Yet, on the third visit, it was exactly the same unpleasant experience. For our fourth visit, we insisted on the nurse that treated her the first time. Even trying to make the request was difficult. The staffs just seemed so unwilling to help. On the fourth visit, we got the nurse that first treated us and we realized that she was the exception not the rule. Sadly she was leaving. So fast forward a few months. We decided to give the place another chance because we like the doctor. That was yesterday. We were bought in the room where a nurse rudely argued with us on the scope of service and the price. We asked her to look in the file for the FOUR times we were here and we are here for the EXACT same thing. She then said she needed to check and left the room. We were left in there for 15 minutes with no one telling us what's going on. This was enough and we walked out. Upon leaving we shared our displeasure to a very unsympathetic audience at front desk. Considering the rudeness in the last visit and the totality of the experience, a one star is well deserved. read more

I've been coming here for about 6 years, I started seeing Dr Chi (great Dr!) But now see Dr Lee (great Dr!) Due to my schedule and theirs. Both Drs are very professional and knowledgeable. I dont hesitate to recommend this office to friends or family. I believe there is another associate Dr also. I schedule my appointments un advance, because their schedules fill up fast (they're very popular!) It may take a bit to get your appointment but the wait is worth it. I have been going to Dr. Lee for at least 5 years and perhaps a little longer than that. He was the doctor that discovered melanoma on the back of my leg. My leg was itchy and had a small, new, freckle. It actually wasn't the reason I scheduled but while I had two other things checked I thought I would ask him about it. The other two things were nothing. The "freckle" he didn't like the looks of and did a biopsy that day. Thanks to Dr. Lee the melanoma was caught early! He is personable, professional, and takes the time to listen. He always asks if I have any other questions before the check-up ends. I highly recommend Dr. Lee. read more
