WARNING- This shop does not know how seal SNS nails they use a gel top coat. I had my nails done by Wendy and returned to her in 2 days because I had bubbles under the gel coat and it was chipping off. She then reapplied gel coat and the same thing happened 2 days later. I accompanied my sister to another nail shop and the owner was kind enough to retouch them with the correct sealer. He stated that a lot of nail shops don't know how to use the sealer or have not been properly trained. If you get SNS done the final step to seal your nails is not placing them under UV light! Other than that the customer service was excellent I felt very cared for but I will not be returning for my SNS touch ups. read more

This was the place my mom and I use to go to all the time because they're super friendly and it's always an easy in and out kind of deal. Not much of a wait during the week. We would walk out happy and our nails typically would last us a good while. We got recommended to another salon so we ended up somewhere else. However, we recently came back because of how flexible their availability is and let me tell you... we're NEVER going back. It was 4 of us that were there and I kept bragging about how they've always done such a good job and we were all highly disappointed. One of my friends toe nails did not dry AT ALL. She ended up messing them up that night when she figured they were dry but it turned out they weren't. My SNS nail chipped within 2 days when they told me they were better than gel. Over all their quality has gone down, customer service from most of the employees is great but definitely not going back. read more

So this morning was my first time. As soon as I sat down I felt rushed, which I was. A returning customer came in after me and was waiting, so I guess she rushed me to get to her. Laying down the acrylic for my re-fill literally only took 5 min for both hands. The acrylic is thick and bumpy and uneven. It's still acrylic stuck to my cuticles. They're not shapped even. Some are more square and some are more oval. The entire nail isn't even polished. I had to ask her if she could Polish the sides of my nails because she was rushing. Polish was left on my fingers. It's sloppy and it's half ass. Word of advice, don't rush the new customer that was there first just to attend the returning customer, because now this new customer WONT be returning. read more

Worst experience at a nail salon EVER. The young lady who did my nails was an absolute nightmare. Hostile, angry and did such a bad job on my nails. I just spent the last 10 mins pulling lint out of my gel manicure and all my nails are different lengths. Just wanted a relaxing afternoon and got abused. Maybe she was having a bad day and decided to take it out on me but because if her, I will never go back again. I came here with the expectation to get a pedicure while my friend got a mani/pedi. They got her started immediately and I waited for the next chair. About 10 minutes later, I was seated in a chair with the water going and the nail tech got up and said he would be right back. No problem. I chat with my friend, check some emails, and am fine. I notice it's taking a little longer than normal and I check the time and realize I don't have time to get my pedicure anymore as it is going to take longer than the time I have available since he hadn't even started. I had no problem with just coming back another time, but the nail tech who was working on my friend then proceeded to try to convince me that I needed to stay because my friend was still going to be there doing her nails. I tried to politely explain that if the other tech had started when he first got me in the chair i would have been fine, but there was no way I would now have the time now. She would not let it go and began to blame my friends request for gel and that that takes longer. A previous review said that she went and no one was at the salon during business hours- but I thought that certainly must've been a fluke and wouldn't happen again, so I tried to go to Va Nails. Nope- at 4:30 on a Monday, the lights were on and the door was locked, even though their hours are supposedly 11-7. I called the number posted on their window and the owner answered offering to be there in 15 minutes (which in Austin traffic surely would have been 20-30 at this hour), but I declined and am on my way elsewhere hoping for better luck. read more

They offer drinks and make sure everything is good with your service. Her husband does a mean pedicure too! He takes his time and you get massaged like 3-4 diff times. I would say that I kept asking for the standard pedicure and they ended up giving me a deluxe and charged me, of course (I was specific with the standard pedicure - I said it multiple times). The man who did it was very nice though and did a great job. My shellac manicure was a little rushed when another customer came in, I have lint stuck on two of my nails. I did not know they gave complimentary drinks until another customer came in and received one along with her massage chair being turned on. My pedicure was fantastic but the gel nails was another experience. They squared off my nails per my request but my nails are very strong. They clipped them with one clip and it was painful. I had to straighten out several of my nails. The gel coat was placed over my cuticles, so I had to completely remove it withing 2 days because my nails looked horrible. They were extremely nice and did their best to speak English the entire time. read more

My mother, sister, grandmother, aunts, as well as myself followed Tony from Regal Nails in the Walmart of South Park Meadows Shopping Center to VA Nails just two minutes away. We thought he was everything, or did exactly as you request rather. Now none of us go to him. He is always in a rush since him and the lady he brought from Regal Nails are trying to fit so many people in with just the two of them. A person with any heart will understand that but when you truly don't like your nails it gets difficult to let him slide when you've built comfort but do see he a has a long line after you. I would not recommend Tony anymore. He has fell off. He shaves really close at the bottom of nail so you need to get a fill by the end of the week. I used to adore him now he's just super money hungry. I hope he gets his act together. I was loyal to him for almost nine years. Now I don't know where to go, this sucks. read more

Beyond sad that my at most favorite nail tech no longer works there really does bum me out because Tony was the best and always knew me. but hey I still gave the new people a try and well at first I was like "what the heck why not?". I should have just went with my gut instinct because from the start I knew it would be no good because first of all the guy who started couldn't finish due to the fact he didn't know how to do the style of nails I wanted. So the lady took over, I asked for a certain type and she told me "no" to what I wanted bc what she could do was better. the nails were okay but as I later looked at them they were a little uneven. For something so simple I paid waaaay more then I wanted and in less then a week 2 of my nails popped right off, I went back to get them done again and she was being very rude bc she claims it was my fault never has that happened to me. Even after I paid she was being rude and charged me $20+ for nails I'm not satisfied with. Very disappointed in the new service read more
