Cancelled class and charged by owner from class pass.
Lindsey B.

Signed up with class pass and was turned away by owner at the front desk. Told me she does not get paid for class pass classes and does not have me in her system even though I could see the class on my app. After I left she immediately cancelled my class and I was charged. Unfortunate since I was looking to begin my Pilates journey here as it's right around the corner from me and looked super cute. Owner didn't even give me the time of day I would've paid for a drop in but she was not nice to me

Beautiful studio with a great owner. I took a morning beginner/intermediate class and it was a great pace. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. She helped correct your form and made you feel welcome! Would return!

I have a membership with Active and Fit which provides me discounts and month to month (cancel anytime) gym memberships. When I enjoyed their free trial class, I signed up through my site that night. I will preface by saying that I have never had issues with any other gym using this benefit. If there's a location that's a participating gym, they know what it is. The owner assured me that that have used this benefit before and to give it a day to show up on their end. Cool. The money came out of my account and when I reach out for two days, they tell me 'we haven't received anything yet. But you can pay for classes now through us to get access to the app.' Excuse me? I already paid and I believe what is happening here is that they are trying to get me to pay them directly so that I have to commit to a contract of their terms. Three months minimum? Rolling after that? I reached out to active and fit and a rep called them personally to give instructions. The owner said her hands are tied. Tied or trying to play games???! I'm sorry for the people that work here that may have to deal with any schemes. Pilates is nice. Contracts before you know if you enjoy something, no.

Elizabeth and Chris are my usual instructors and I love them! Every class is different so you are never bored and I've actually been going 5 days a week and want to go more than that if I find the time. The only downfall is classes are booked up 2-3 weeks out so if you're on a structured schedule like me it's not a problem at all.

This gym offers an array of classes including Pilates, yoga, spin, kickboxing, and HIIT. Every instructor has a different personality but they are all amazing and will push you to be better. The monthly membership price is very reasonable and signing up for classes is easy through the MINDBODY app. I highly recommend trying out a free class or two before signing up for a membership. I have nothing but good things to say about live fit Cooper City :) !

The instructors are always helpful, accommodating, encouraging & challenging. They offer over 90 classes a week at an affordable unlimited monthly rate and they're not pretentious at all. People go there to work out and Tony, Phil & Niecey will know you by name making you feel that you belong because you do! If you want to get in & get out that's fine, too. There's a variety of classes including: HIIT (Zone), spin, Pilates Reformer, yoga, Zumba, TRX and if you want to look at their entire lineup check them out on the MindBody app. The class variety and quality to cost just can't be beat. These are quality classes where there's something for everyone, beginner or novice. I find the classes are always challenging and I've been working out for a while. Yet don't be intimidated if you're new either b/c they do a great job at modifying until you're ready to add that extra weight, rep, whatever it is that you need. As I mentioned before this studio is not pretentious. No one there has to look like silicone Barbie or Ken to give you a good workout or work out beside you. It's a friendly laid back atmosphere, but you'll still get a great workout. The instructors are all great! They teach to their own style, but are always challenging. Stacey is the best Pilates Reformer instructor hands down. I believe she has over 20 yrs of experience. Everyone's always shaking & sweating (sometimes limping, in a good way) from her class. Jimmy is hardcore, like a drill sergeant, but always changes it up and will offer modified versions if you need. Colleen and Darnell are also great and always change things up, so you're never bored. They're both so encouraging, motivating and have the best music. Lastly, regarding the billing when I had any issue (which was maybe once) I'd call or ask in-person. I think sometimes technology & billing can require a bit of a learning curve, so be patient and bring it up if it wasn't resolved to your liking the first time. I find it's likely oversight than intentional because that was the case with me. I hope more great things are to come and that they expand their members, space and classes!

You can sign up for a drop in class on the Mind & Body app for $18 or opt for a membership. The first month is $49 for unlimited classes! When we arrived, the instructor was signing people in and gave a few instructions for first-timers (just me) on the importance of hydration. Hydrate 45(?) minutes before and after class, making sure to drink something with electrolytes as you sweat... a lot. Walking into the warm studio, you already start to sweat but the class was amazing with the instructor aware of the skill levels of everyone in class. I was so grateful for her going over certain things a bit more as I haven't stepped into an in-person yoga class since college. I was DRIPPING in sweat, in the best way possible, and was absolutely drenched by the end of class. Even though I felt like I just took a shower, I was so relaxed. Pro tip: don't forget to bring your own mat, towel, and water!

Yoga Joint was like my second home and I got along great with the instructors and made sure I was super sweet to the managers and front desk employees. However, over time it became really corporate and impersonal, the classes felt like you were just part of some factory assembly line and the front desk employee turnaround really took a toll on the customer service. Last summer I received a phone call from a manager, Vanesa Gentile, stating that I should probably cancel my membership because I'm 'unsafe' for asking the front desk employees if it's their job to fix the lockers that weren't working properly as they stared at me blankly when I asked for help finding a locker that worked. After trying to discuss this with the higher ups and receiving the corporate runaround, I promptly canceled my membership. I am so glad that the staff was able to return to their safe space! I now see in other reviews below that I'm not the only person that Vanesa has asked to cancel their membership. I miss the old Yoga Joint
